@ treksterj: Perhaps what REALLY needs mention is that there are NO PROVISIONS for it under any law. Section 8, line item 9 of the U.S. Consitution (under: Powers of Congress) states "To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offenses against the Law of Nations;" I think that Congress is breaking our Constitutional laws by allowing/promoting these PAID felonies against the Law of Nations. Congress needs to be replaced and then tried in court for this.

I think the transparency of this particular war has forced security operators both military and civilian to perform under a very strict rules of engagement. I believe that these men came under attack and they RETURNED fire. I know a thing or two about warfare and know for a fact that in a tense environment like that, the last thing you want to do is to start a fire fight. When REAL soldiers make mistakes like this, they are held accountable. When REAL soldiers come under fire, they react with discipline and according to military code. You don't see our guys firing wildly into crowds of civilians because they supposedly came under attack. Maybe one or two, but they get court marshaled and kicked out (and then go join groups like BW!!!) BW is a disgrace to our ops over there, pure and simple.

There's nothing wong with Blackwater as an entity- they augment positions that, because of defense cuts, need to be filled. However, they are not required to follow the same rules of engagement that armed forces are- that, coupled with the fact they are so physicaly removed from oversight, makes them easily free to guage thier own perameter for which tarets to take down.
Don't blame them- blame the reason they're there in the fact place: defence slashing and manning cuts in our armed forces.

Section 8, line item 9 of the U.S. Consitution (under: Powers of Congress) states "To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offenses against the Law of Nations;" I think that Congress is breaking our Constitutional laws by allowing/promoting these PAID felonies against the Law of Nations. Congress needs to be replaced and then tried in court for this.

I think the transparency of this particular war has forced security operators both military and civilian to perform under a very strict rules of engagement. Funny how everyone cries out about losing their rights. These guys never got a chance to defend their actions. The FBI has no juridiction in this case, and no one ever questioned the accounts given by a bunch of American-Hating, corrupt, dishonest people that had everything to lose if Blackwater was removed. According to the US Constitution, no foreign troops are allowed between American borders. That's what i know...maybe i'm wrong. The ones i know about, are russians, germans and polaks. And they seem to be loyal only to the money.
In any case, their presence here is illegal and i'm surprised that people don't react and if some do, they don't get an answer from the government.

When REAL soldiers make mistakes like this, they are held accountable. When REAL soldiers come under fire, they react with discipline and according to military code. You don't see our guys firing wildly into crowds of civilians because they supposedly came under attack. Maybe one or two, but they get court marshaled and kicked out (and then go join groups like BW!!!) BW is a disgrace to our ops over there, pure and simple.
And if any REAL soldiers wanna comment, go ahead...otherwise it's moot.

That's cool. I'm not saying that soldiers don't kill civs ever, but I AM saying that they are held accountable. And other contractors ARE a lot more pro bout how they handle themselves, even though I don't think they have any biz doing what our soldiers are already equipped to do.
If I get to sounding irate in these posts, it's cuz I'm sick of kids defending BW for clearly violating rules of engagement. Real soldiers have to keep it together or face consequences.

There's nothing wong with Blackwater as an entity- they augment positions that, because of defense cuts, need to be filled. However, they are not required to follow the same rules of engagement that armed forces are- that, coupled with the fact they are so physicaly removed from oversight, makes them easily free to guage thier own perameter for which tarets to take down.
Don't blame them- blame the reason they're there in the fact place: defence slashing and manning cuts in our armed forces.
