  • MEET THE DEALER AIN'T A BITCH REALER!SO YOU AIN'T GOTTA QUESTION WHY PUSHA DON'T FEEL YA,NOW STEP THE FUCK OFF!

  • whatta truly underrated rap masterpiece this whole album is

  • Open the frigidaire, 25 to life in here / So much white you might think your holy Christ is near ohhh my

  • Clipse is better than lupe fiasco and Immortal technique combined, this album is proof.

  • @tacosaucemafia Naw man not Lupe. Clipse has a Jay Z type of style to them, but they aren't that great lyrically. They are average lyrically. It's pharrel and their style and more sophisticated street rhymes that make them a good group, but they aren't even close to Lupe with it comes to MCing. As far as Immortal Tech. He is just way overrated as an MC. He has a revolutionist mentality and he's very intelligent, but his flow isn't that great. HHNF is a classic though no doubt.

  • @garybatesrsc I get your point, but since when did lyrics become the only part of hip hop? I wasn't referring to lyrical ability I was talking about music/albums and clipse got that over Lupe any day. The reason why I brought em up is become a lot people think they're the only guys out there, but they lack the creativity and songwriting that Clipse have. I mean cannabis is a better technical mc than 2 Pac, but who makes better music Anyway would you agree HHNF is better than any Lupe album?

  • @tacosaucemafia I would say that the beats are better in HHNF,just because it's a Neptunes production, but hardly anybody in the game has the lyrical depth and creativity as Lupe. The Cool is a classic. That Album has concepts that I have trouble figuring out what he means. When it comes to good artists, they have to have balance and versatility,so yeah lyrical ability is not the only aspect of an artist that counts.Catchy beats and hooks are cool, but connecting with the lyrics makes it meaningful

  • @garybatesrsc Actually the only reason I brought up Lupe was because a lot of people talk about him as the only bright spot, and I think to myself man Clipse gets no credit. I like Lupe, I just think that clipse deserve more credit from the people. I also think that hip hop artist needs to become more musical and push boundaries, this is something that is no longer present in hip hop today. Today all I here is about rapping and being lyrical, but these cats aren't breaking any new ground.

  • @garybatesrsc I think Public enemy, Outkast, Beastie Boys, de la and DJ shadow are perfect examples of what I'm trying to get across guys who constantly evolve as artist from a musical and lyrical stand point. Great Lyrical content and the music always changes and breaks new ground. These are cats who have such a broad understanding of music they would never see themselves as being labeled only as hip hop, they are apart of music, they don't believe in genres. This album is an example of that.

  • @tacosaucemafia True dat True dat. Check out Wax- Music's all around me, if you haven't yet

  • @garybatesrsc Clipse? Average lyrics? .......You must be out yo fuckin mind. And when u talkin bout Lupe, I hope you not talkin bout LASERS...... cuz that album was shit.

  • @TheNewManifesto Clipse do got good lyrics but LASERS was a good album. Lupe 100% different then the clipse

  • @garybatesrsc i disagree. the clipse are veeery far from average in terms of lyricism. miles and miles above average.

  • @goodbrew29 You don't understand my definition of average then. Tech 9, Nas , Elzhi, Lupe and J Cole are great lyricists. Clipse are average with their flows. I judge lyricism in terms of rhyme schemes, wordplay, vocal control( how it plays into the auditory perception) , metaphors, story telling, and a lot of other fancy poetic terms that I don't know the names for. I've already explained what I find appealing about the Clipse, but they aren't more than average when it comes to their lyricism.

  • @garybatesrsc as would i. to me that seems the most reasonable way to judge lyricism in rap, and even then i would say that pusha has great wordplay and rhyme schemes. malice doesnt get into the wordplay aspect as much as pusha does but nonetheless is still effective with it. i do think pusha is a better lyricist than j cole (cole world was dope btw). and clipse make alot of intelligent philosophical and historical references to their songs, which i think is pretty sweet. lol

  • @goodbrew29 the rappers u named are definitely great rappers. the type of rappers that true hip hop fans would come to a general consensus when considering lyricism. i respect ur taste in rappers. nas is one of my all time favourites. imo better than jay-z, but thats another argument.

  • @goodbrew29 Better than J. Cole? Haha that's funny. It's whatever though. At least you're into quality and not gimmicks. My favorite rappers is Los though. If you haven't checked him out, then download a few of his mixtapes. Zero Gravity, Shooter, 2 seconds from greatness. He has about 8 mixtapes in all though.

  • @garybatesrsc lol yeah man ill check him out. thanks for the suggestions.

  • @garybatesrsc No offense, but just because you're not listening close enough to the lyrics doesn't give you a right to judge it. All those things you mention (lyrics, flow, word-play etc.) Pusha and Malice excel at. Sometimes I sit and listen to some of their songs and I think to myself "this is poetry". There's so much depth to what they're saying in their lyrics that I think one can sit down and write short essays on some of their songs. Just look at Footsteps as a prime example.

  • @faithmanish Give me a specific example of some lines that show what you're talking about. Explain the context and point out the wordplay and rhyme schemes. I'm a pretty good listener of music,so prove me wrong.
