@Dignity825 the cat went in the cage on it's own. most likely the cat and the bird are used to being around each other. it looked like they where both used to one another bugging eachother. Just like i have a cat and a dog and sometimes they snuggle up and sleep beside eachother and other times the dog chaces my cat outsid. but my cat likes to follow him around untill he finally will turn around and chase her. they are wonderful togeather but they still like bugging one another.

Parakeets are one of the most intelligent parrot family birds and completely underappreciated due to their modest price and breeding ability. They are much more intelligent than cats and dogs, to put it mildy. It is obvious the way the parakeet sized up the situation and escaped quickly. I adore parrot family birds. Studies put them up with dolphins and chimps as to intelligence!! It doesn't surprise me at all.

But obviously they knew the cat wouldn't actually harm the bird, otherwise I highly doubt they'd just let it crawl in there with it. The bird wasn't as afraid as you make it sound. When birds are frightened, they get extremely small and skinny, but if you notice, it stays relatively large throughout the video.
