When I first started watching her vids, I warned her to be cautious. I think the reason Islamic wack jobs are freaking out, now more than ever, is due to the age of information. The internet and it's wealth of knowledge, including history as well as current day news, is their greatest threat. She's smart though. When I first started watching her vids, I warned her to be cautious. I think the reason Islamic wack jobs are freaking out, now more than ever, is due to the age of information. The internet and it's wealth of knowledge, including history as well as current day news, is their greatest threat. She's smart though. You know many of the things you are taught are only theories, but still you would rather believe them than listen to what your gut tells you.

@meathrander oh please, I graduated from a Catholic University and was taught philosophy in college by priests. I also attended a protestant elementary school. Again, who do I quote verbatim? My beliefs are based off skepticism, evidence, and proof. Nothing else. I didn't even attack you for your beliefs. I attacked you for personally insulting a non-believer for theirs.

Did you see her video where she was attacking others for their beliefs? I believe she was saying something about if you pray then you are an idiot because prayer doesn't work. She then proceeded to go around her town and do ridiculous things to compare that they would do just as much as praying would do.
As for me attacking her. Don't even go there.

@meathrander I have seen her attack beliefs and prayer as superstition. I haven't seen her say consistently that believers are idiots. If she thinks all believers are all simply inferior idiots, not that their faith is idiotic, but they themselves are idiots because they have faith, then she is expressing immature narcassism. I haven't yet seen this. You can have contempt for a belief or faith but not look down on the person as a whole.

Although it more than explains your atheistic views. Roman Catholicism is the number one reason people become atheists. I would know, I studied ALL religions. It taught me that there is a just God (regardless if you believe in him or not) and one day EVERYONE will have to answer to him.

@MrNicMachiavelli That's because you obviously only "read" the holy books. You can read any book and not retain any information. Most of them are nonsense. The bible is the only one with truth. I'm not saying that there are no inconsistencies in the bible. After all it has been translated many times. But if you really study it you will see that many of the things that are happening today have been foretold in the bible. Many of the things that happened in the past match up with key descriptions

@meathrander and to get to your other point-- I read the Bible, both the new testament and the old. I actually enjoy reading the Bible as much as I do fantasy, science fiction, and Greek mythology. Do you honestly believe nobody can read and understand the Bible without believing in it?

If you read revelation and other parts of the new testament as you say you have then you would see prophecies being fulfilled. What, did you skim through it once? That's not how you study the bible.
Things like science fiction and Greek mythology speak for themselves with words like fiction and myth in their title so you will know they are untrue.

This isn't about defending her since I do not know her except to say I didn't see her beliefs else where as offensive. Beliefs are not about respect. Beliefs are there to be examined and criticized. All you have to do for me is prove there is a God and I will believe it.
