  • So, no more burning bushes?

  • you sound like a wise man

  • I know Phillip would not be lying if he said God told me to go talk to that man in the chariot, in regards to(Acts 8:29). So God can tell us to do specific things that are personal, they just won't contradict His Word and they would be in line with what the Spirit wants, not our flesh. I agree with you with the God told me to eat at Taco Bell, or buy a poodle etc. These are things I believe God expects us to use our brain for.

  • @NoLongerSilenced Yes I agree, and Nehemiah said "Then my God put it into my heart to assemble the nobles and the officials and the people to be enrolled by genealogy." Paul was prohibited by the Holy Spirit from going to Asia. I have no problem saying, "I believe God is leading me to do this or that" when I truly believe He is. I wish preachers would be a little more balanced with in their approach to this subject. They're so afraid of mysticism yet we see examples of it in scripture.

  • Sad fact but rampant in many christians.I totally agree.Amen!

  • good advice..

  • I often hear christians saying : Jesus told me, God showed me , the Spirit gave me this and that, and in many cases I could see myself, it can't be right, either in contradiction to the scriptures or producing bad fruits . To a non-believer, what a testimony! he will ask, who is the bigger liar, they or their god ?
