There is no oil on the west coast beaches!!! The oil is up in the pan handle....and no where near Siesta Key!

Why do your have your title saying "before oil spill reached florida". You are makign it sound like the oil is on Siesta Beach now! THE OIL IS NOT IN THIS AREA. OUR BEACHES ARE WHITE AND NO OIL IS HERE.!!! Do you have any idea how far the oil is? Please learn your facts before you post a title like you did!

@kawikastoy Why don't you make a video and name it what ever you want? I didn't say OIL reached Florida... I said BEFORE it reached Florida... It will be there eventually don't you worry about that... All it needs is a hurricane to blow it into the mainstream... Hurricanes are coming in July and August just like any other year so I'm sure it will get there...

I think it would be horrible but I don't think you and I can do anything about that... You will see the nasty oil patties on the beach.

LEARN SOME FACTS about hurricanes and times when they HIT... And please, please, please upload at least one video on YouTube so it would at least look like you know what YOU are talking about...

Been on this beach in 2008, totally stunning! Saw dolphins and pelicans, would be a total disaster if oil reached any of the beaches. Fingers crossed for anyone living locally, hope your stunning natural beauty remains untouched. X

BP has some sort of cover up going....they have caused a lot more damage to the floor itself than what they have said so far. media now getting denied access....whoa boy. They knew..profits before safety.

I really hope it doesn't. I lived in Sarasota for over 13 yrs. and had to move back to Ohio. i miss it. Just hoping the oil doesn't make it there.

I'm sick of this OIL crap still gushing out into the Gulf on daily basis... It has been too long 55 days is Ridiculous

The oil spill has not reached our beautiful beaches here in Sarasota County...and hopefully will not! :)

@hollybigolly I hope not... I love it there... We go to Venice every year (Couple Times a Year) and hopping the Nasty Oil Spill and "Oil Patties" will not even be seen in your area.
