Great video. I'd like to add that the Sabbath actually begins at dark on Friday and goes until dark on Saturday (Gen. 1:5; Ps. 104:20; Lev. 23:32; Acts 27:27-33), not sunset. God's days begin in darkness. The first day of creation began in darkness, "and the evening and the morning were the first day". If there was no sun on the first day, how could it have started at sunset? Sabbath (and all of God's days) begin when darkness falls, now known as End of Evening Nautical Twilight (EENT)
@AlexanderRex2 That's only true of the first day since darkness preceded the creation of light. Darkness was created, as well as the light (Isaiah 45:7).On all subsequent days it begins at sunset. The Hebrew word Ereb means to grow dark and is defined as "the going down of the sun" in Duet. 16:6. This begins the twilight/dusk period. The scripture you reference (Ps 104:20) defines darkness as night not evening.
To the carnel minded what I am about to say makes no sense, but to those who walk in the Holy spirit and Word, you will understand: People usually say that it was harsh of God to give the command to stone someone for breaking the sabbath; But, doesn't that just prove to you that He cares? He cares that much that you get rest. God never gave us the commands to led us to death, but to open our hearts to see how much he wanted to be close to us. And through Faith, that's what It's all about-Life.
As a Seventh Day Adventist christian, I agree with what these men said. It is really refreshing for me to hear christian people teaching the correct time and day of the Sabbath and enthusiastically encouraging us to keep it. May God bless them.
The bible is unclean food because it is full of contradictions the church of God cannot explain. Google "bible contradictions" and you'll see what I mean.
TRASHING the 4th commandment/Saturday sabbath (MEMORIAL OF CREATION) is the most obvious religious con job/deception on EARTH. Just compare how 99% of the church use ACTS 20:7 and never teach about ACTS 13:42-44, 16:13, 17:2 and 18:4. If PAUL trashed the sabbath, why didn't he warn all of the gentiles in ACTS to stop hanging around the Jews and come worship with him on the SUNday/Lord's day? Anti-evolutionists shoot their creation campaign in the foot by deleting the weekly creation reminder
Some people think that we keep the commandments for salvation, that is wrong. I keep the commandments including the sabbath out of love, reverence and gratitute for GOD. It is not a burden but a delight!
@tabitha2644 If only the rest of this broken world would come to the same realization that you came to, there would be no strife. I, too, keep the Commandments and the Sabbath for the same reasons.
Christ makes the believer HOLY...so, everyday should be a day of having specific relationship time with Father God...not waiting until a day called the Sabbath. In the old testament, they did not have the benefit of being able to commune with God DAILY, because they weren't born of God's Spirit...thus, God had to say "take this day to do no work so you can focus on ME". Christ became our rest, forever indwelling the believer by His Spirit, and daily we commune with God in prayer and the Word.
>Christ makes the believer HOLY...so, everyday should be a day of having specific relationship time with Father God...not waiting until a day called the Sabbath.
Waiting for the sabbath isn't the same as not thinking about God outside of Sabbath...... If God had wanted us to stop keeping the Sabbath Jezus would've told us so. Jezus even kept the sabbath throughout his life.
It's very sad how main stream "Christianity" teaches that all we have to do is believe that Jesus is Lord and we're saved...Even demons know Jesus is Lord and shudder at his name. How could anyone in their right mind think that our Father would have no standards or requirements regarding our conduct in this life? Thank you Beyond Today for shedding light on so many topics main stream "Christianity" disregards!
Here's one analogy: If a person were on a wilderness hike with only a compass and visual sites such as trees or landmarks to guide them, how often do you that person would check to make sure they're not deviated from their course? I know if it were me, I would check very often. That's what the Bible and the Sabbath are for Christians. The Bible is the compass telling which direction is which. The Sabbath is the visual site, which helps one to stay on their chosen course.
And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
Romans 7:12Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
"Thinknot that I am come to destro the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unt you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." - Jesus (Matthew 5:17-18) Did I miss heaven and earth passing? Did I miss the tribulation and the new heaven and new earth. Man! Must have happened last Tuesday.
It's interesting to note that the Bible also commands the death penalty, for working on the sabbath... So, should we kill the majority of American's who have worked on the sabbath? Anyone? It's fair to say it's immoral and it's in the Bible.
Exodus 31:15 "Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death."
1. In the Torah was given several types of laws. Moral laws, civil laws and statutes & judgements.
2. Death penalty laws are civil laws on the ancient Israelites NATION. Same with our modern day constitution, laws and punishment are there. Are these immoral? No.
3. For law must come with penalties in order for them to carefully follow as to them was the oracles of God given to preserve.
It is not a question of immorality, but of appropriateness of these penalties.
10 Commandment was never made into 9 except by Man - Constatine 350AD, three hundred years after the cross. Fourth Commandment shows who you give allegience to God or Man. Revelations calls it "The Mark of the Beast" - the Beast being Rome instead of Jerusalem.
One, this does not talk about Sabbath, because it was not man who esteemed or but God Himself.
Two, if you read the whole chapter you will understand what it is talking about. It is RE: setting aside a day personally to fast (verse 6) on which day we want to set aside or to ESTEEM.
I hope that answers why I say you may quoted the wrong scripture for this video.
Bring no more futile sacrifices; Incense is an abomination to Me. The New Moons, the SABBATHS, and the calling of assemblies— I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting.
Your New Moons and your appointed feasts My soul hates; They are a trouble to Me, I am weary of bearing them. Isaiah 1:12-14
The New Testament Sabbath rest is a relationship with God in which we have ceased from doing things by our own efforts and are letting God work through us Heb. 4:10
So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ. Col 2:16-17
One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. Romans 14:5-6
Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy. And stone to death whoever desecrates it by doing any work on that holy day. Except wives, because they don't count.
Yep I believe in the Sabbath and i have to say that The United Church of God congregations are one of theee most Biblical Churches i have ever found in my life.

Rom 3:20
Therefore, no one will be declared righteous in His sight by observing the Law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.
The 10 Commandments were given to show us our need for a Savior.
The function of the law, Paul says, is to give knowledge of or about sin, not to save from sin.(Acts 13:39; 1Tim 1;9-10)
