  • yes, it's nice to watch it in black and white

  • Oh, I always loved the mountain man! I remembered his song for years!

  • Man, I remember that mountain man song from ten years ago. Just like the tamale song from the Rico arc.

  • "It's times like these when one knows who ones friends really are hey Carlatta"

Classic line of Garcia! Love these series..! Thanks so much @CorporalReyes

  • OMG i always wanted to see the mountain man epsiodes. I just love having an american in the series, shake things up a little

  • GAH - that mountain man song is gunna get stuck in my head.

I hope i won't start humming it on the way walking home from school.

...not that I'm secretly watching zorro at school, of course not.... >.>

  • thats sssssssssoooooooooo old

  • I can remember these episodes the best.

  • Whoa ho ho, this episode like ... BLEW THE WHOLE ZORRO perspective out of proportion, the usual Spaniards/etc ... was wonderful to see an American back in those days really.

  • Interesting. After episodes and episodes of Spanish civility -- and class system -- fun to see "Americanos" from the Spanish point of view. Crane is a uncouth hoot!

Notice how Don Carlos won't pay the peddler himself, he gives the money to his vacarro to hand to the peddler.

  • Lol, that mountainman has got quite an entree :)

  • He picked it up with 1 hand who Bernardo was still standing on it!

  • black and white episodes give a whole nother vibe

  • Wow, Carlatta is really sexy and a briliant actress!

  • @secandar who is she?

  • @zorro822

The actress with the blond hair, who works in the tavern and who fancies the Mountain Man.

  • Beverblood..?

  • Speaking of Crockett this guy is named Jeff York and he played opposite Fess Parker as Davy in "Davy Crockett and the River Pirates"

  • nice song at the beginning!!

  • Even tho the coloring of season two seems better than the job done on season, I find it a nice change of pace watching one in the original B&W.

  • For the record, this postdates the Crockett craze by a few years (Crockett was 1954-1955; this episode was 1958, and actually borrows a character from "The Saga of Andy Burnett" series from 1957)

  • In a way this was like a Davy Crockett pilot. It was a few years later that Crockett became a national craze.

I can't remember Don Carlos' real name - he was Dr. Smith in LOST IN SPACE - also with Guy Williams.

  • doctor smith

  • Very good observation; I was about to comment on that myself. The actor's real name was Jonathan Harris.

  • @plemochoe Jonathan Harris was Dr. Smith's real name. I watch and own every episode of "LIS" and am currently in season three right now.

  • Frist!!

How many more second season episodes are there?

The series really developed during the second season. Everybody's characterization is set.
