Whoa ho ho, this episode like ... BLEW THE WHOLE ZORRO perspective out of proportion, the usual Spaniards/etc ... was wonderful to see an American back in those days really.
Interesting. After episodes and episodes of Spanish civility -- and class system -- fun to see "Americanos" from the Spanish point of view. Crane is a uncouth hoot!
Notice how Don Carlos won't pay the peddler himself, he gives the money to his vacarro to hand to the peddler.
For the record, this postdates the Crockett craze by a few years (Crockett was 1954-1955; this episode was 1958, and actually borrows a character from "The Saga of Andy Burnett" series from 1957)
yes, it's nice to watch it in black and white

Speaking of Crockett this guy is named Jeff York and he played opposite Fess Parker as Davy in "Davy Crockett and the River Pirates"

Even tho the coloring of season two seems better than the job done on season, I find it a nice change of pace watching one in the original B&W.

In a way this was like a Davy Crockett pilot. It was a few years later that Crockett became a national craze.
I can't remember Don Carlos' real name - he was Dr. Smith in LOST IN SPACE - also with Guy Williams.

Very good observation; I was about to comment on that myself. The actor's real name was Jonathan Harris.

@plemochoe Jonathan Harris was Dr. Smith's real name. I watch and own every episode of "LIS" and am currently in season three right now.

How many more second season episodes are there?
The series really developed during the second season. Everybody's characterization is set.
