  • I'm lonelier than God :(

  • esta chida muy buena rolas

  • @DonaldLanoux89- so true, when i ask my friends if they know hopesfall, they have no idea what they are

  • the lyrics to this song blow my FUCKIN MIND!!

  • Kidding with the dislike!

  • I am a 16 year old 'emo/goth' I listen to screamo and people yelling about death... But my god, Hum is by far the BEST band that has ever laid a breath on this dark deserted earth... Thank you HUM... Forever...

  • Awesome song. Brings back a lot of sweet memories.

  • @Radarguidedvermin so what kind of crap do you like? Nickleback, Shinedown, Fangur-'Levin, and Creed? Those are great bands, that is great bands for punk-ass loser trolls! Lol!

  • The amazing thing about music is dusting off old music. You listen to a few bars and immeidately you can feel and smell and imediately be transported to another time and place like nothing else can. Oh late teen angst, depression ...1996 and Hum. :)

  • this song sounds much better live

  • Thank you so much for this upload.

  • i was listening to this song in my car and one of my friends I was with was like "I don't really want to listen to shinedown" so I slapped the shit out of him

  • If you aren't sobbing by the time Matt sings "Let's just hit the sky exploding into one." then you are dead inside.

  • Hum Tribute Record coming out soon from Pop Up Records. featuring Funeral for a Friend, Constants,Open Hand,Anakin,Damn This Desert Air

  • listen to failure

  • Globalchaos, dude radarguidedvermin is tototally entitled to his opinion of hum such as we are. No sense in arguing on YouTube. And Radarguidedvermin, dude think about what you said: you're thesis is that we cry? Dude your probably the worlds biggest bitch yourself for sitting back in your chair and talking on YouTube...congrats on having your first area of control in your life.

  • this was my teenage anthem back in the day

    i wore this song out.

    i still love hum...even at 31

  • most underrated album of 90s alt-rock scene. this and sunny day's diary.

  • @foolsgoldsoma im listening to diary right now!!!

  • god i love that friggin album...insert nostalgic thoughts

  • @WolfDiamond123 Word, and don't forget The Sundays

  • I agree. I listened to this driving through Asheboro on the way to the zoo. It was nice and sunny, like 78 degrees. I was high as fuck. Just me and my grilfriend. A very peaceful, thought-provoking drive.

  • Sounds like a perfect day.

  • whats so great is I haven't listened to this song in SOOOO LONG yet when I listen right now..the words just come outta my mouth...amazing how the brain exuberantly stores GOOD MEMORIES ^_^

  • What's really fucking sad is if you watch footage of their last reunion show, there aren't as many people there as you think there would be. I know myself and a ton of people couldn't make it, but if it were at least a massive crowd I wouldn't feel as bad. My generation is so lost in the shit they listen to today. No intelligence or appreciation for good music...so they label.

  • Things will never be the same again. We were lucky.

  • Comment removed

  • @DonaldLanoux89 yo whats the link dude

  • @shampoodaking what link are you referring to?

  • @DonaldLanoux89 there last reunion that barely anyone went to

  • @shampoodaking um there are a few links but look at the 2009 new years day show ( labeled by differrent users 1.1.09) clearly there is still plenty of room for more people to be there. Fuck if I could have went; hopefully they'll do another show and I will for sure go

  • @DonaldLanoux89 Yeah, but at the same time it's Hum and it's not like they were ever really super-popular...let's be honest now. I'm not saying they aren't a good band, I enjoyed their music, but I am down to earth and realize they were never HUGE by any means.

  • @devilsgrin6 I completely agree with you man, I'd be a liar if I said I found these guys before 2004. All I wish for music, is that given the vast resources for bands today over what was available to them 20 years ago, present and future bands like Hum will have their music heard by more people, if not generate more fans. Sadly, given more resources, the music that still makes its way to the top is still what middle and upper class caucasian girls find appeasing. They make the economy apparently

  • @DonaldLanoux89

Addendum: there is no such thing as "good" music. I'm sure you're not trying to, but it sounds very pretentious when you make assertions that the music you like is "Good" and the music others like is "Bad".

  • @AEFic I appreciate you giving me the benefit of the doubt sir, and by no means do I try to sound pretentious. But consider this, why is it that most people these days have a cd player or alternative listening apparatus installed in their cars such as a way to listen to their itunes? I drive about 300 cars a day as my job, and I can tell you it's certainly people catching a break from what is put on the mainstream radio. I didn't mention any other music, other than the mainstream today.

  • @DonaldLanoux89 If you are referring to the 08/09 new year's shows, the first night sold out quickly, so they added a 2nd show the following night, which also sold out. It's a medium size venue also, I've been to smaller ones. Mostly everyone there were die hard fans from around the country. It was the most energy I have felt from any concert I have ever attended. Sorry you couldn't make it there mate. They did 3 shows (at least) in 2010. Although Matt's wife hinted it could be their last :'(

  • when i start my dryer it sounds like the beginning of this song so every time i do laundry i have to listen to hum immediately after

  • Best Hum Song ever...def top 5 to take way to much acid and sit in the blacklight room and lose your fucking mind! Thank god I never came back!

  • this band makes me want to listen too The meat puppets, dinosaur jr. vitreous humor, nirvana, boys life, jawbreaker and old sunny day real estate just to name a few

  • Hum = pure brilliance

  • if some retard looke at the title of this song, they'd be like, oh this is emo, so they cut themselves and sit in corners. i hate it when people do that. that was emo when it somehow got mixed up with the poser scene goth shit. this is emo before that. when it was good

  • @luverboy30

AGREE. There was no such thing as "emo" when Hum was making records. As such, no one should label Hum as emo.

If you come before the movement, you don't get the label assigned to you. You pave the way for others to be called it.

its hard to put a label on Hum. Just enjoy them.

  • thank you! so sick of that shit! i wonder what these kids would have done in our day when you didnt label it just listened. matter of fact you smoked 3 fattys took 15 gel tabs and lost your fucking mind listening to hum! MWHAHAHA! Go to bed kiddies!

  • labeling is a dumb idea all together, too much hate in the world alredy

  • I throw them under the thinking mans heavy bands. Solid loud rock with insightful and intellegent lyrics, similar to Kyuss, Helmet, Prong, and even a little bit like A Perfect Circle.

  • Hum and Sunny Day Real Estate = dream show.

    Great band!

  • yeah that would kick ass!

    :D

  • What would be even more awesome if Hum and SDRE covered each other's songs. Emo-gasm.

  • i love this album and all the songs on it

    hum are just amazing.

  • I tend to agree with alejandro15187 about the Radiohead thing...while OK Computer has Downward is Heavenward beat in the "Wow" factor, the tracks seem to have been played out and I rarely listen to OK Computer anymore, but still play Hum records regularly.

  • great band. long live the 90's

  • totaly forgot about this bband, good band

  • I've spent the whole afternoon just listening to all these songs on Youtube...Now I can't wait to get their cd

  • Which illustrates how the sharing of songs can be a nice way of selling more CD's :D

  • let me know if its an easy task, cuz i cant find any of their song to download, exc stars.

  • You can order the CD on Amazon or I requested it and got it from a site called SwapaCD, you should check that out. Good luck!

  • thanks 4 the info man.

  • sweet someone put a comment on another space song -Failure to check these guys out glad I did guess I'm going to have to buy this and failure's album soon. Thanks for posting.

  • I prefer Failure, but both are awesome.

  • wow, I've never run into someone who said that.

Normaly someone put's on like, "Fantasic Planet" and people can't wait to tell you how much better "So you'd perfure..."

  • couldn't stop listening to this album for a solid 2 years back in the day

  • it's too bad these guys didn't get too big, their sound was really amazing. good song nonetheless!

  • Hum never did get the credit they deserved. Masters of music they recorded this album twice because it wasn't good enough for them the first go around.

  • I read that it was Downward is Heavanward that they recorded twice. Regardless, they had the misfortune of putting that album the same year as OK computer. Oddly, I find myself listening to Hum more than Radiohead.

  • anybody know where i can find this on vinyl? ANYBODY!

  • probably my favorite song off the album, one of those great albums btw you can listen from start to finish. hum never got the respect it was due.

  • Ahh, the soundtrack to younger days past...

  • My ex back in high school played me this song after we had broken up and she was with someone else. I hated her for it everyday after wards and i still do to this day. 8 years later I bought this album just so I could listen to it and remember her. Why do we torment ourselves?

  • hum has to be the best band of the 90's, great post man, thanx alot!

  • one of my favorite songs on the album thanks for posting this here

  • putt the whole album on here i use to drop acid to album

  • Comment removed

  • I dont think anyone knows who that is lol

  • i remember her

    good times...REAAAAAALY good times

  • oh yeah, wasnt she the one with the hair and the eyes?

  • Comment removed

  • nah its a good song... I began to listen stars and now I listen all the song. Its a great album.

  • I love this song! Awesome to see it up!

  • Hum FTW!

  • 26 views? lame....

  • lol there should be more for such a great song. Man i put up great songs but nobodys watching them whatever im about to stop posting LOlz

  • don't stop! we will rate them and favorite them forever!

  • @WolfDiamond123

unfortunately, the TRULY great music (with few exceptions) is mostly very underrated.

mediocre clones of modern times don't have the thought capacity to appreciate music like this.

  • @WolfDiamond123 thanks 4 posting. i'm just now getting into their music after hearing 'Stars' on the radio years ago.
