  • One of the best entrances for any villain in any film, couldn't be any more perfect!

  • Shedder is a like a BAWS. Look at how that asian dude takes off his cape for him.

  • i'm glad shredder wasn't played by a white guy and this was back in the 90's where everything was perfect 90's & 80's best decade

  • After seeing what happened to the foot when they failed. I'm not sure I would want to be on Shredders good side either...

  • Tatsu's expression when shredder comes in is awesome. Shredder is that bad ass that even tatsu becomes a little nervous around him.

  • "Money can not buy the honor that you have earned tonight" powerful line

  • The physical actor for the Shredder and the voice actor for the Shredder did an incredible job to make it seem like they are one in the same.

  • I've been looking for this part of the music as an mp3. I can't find it anywhere. anyone know where to get it?

  • shredders a hard gangster lol i wouldnt wanna be on his bad side haha

  • 2:03 jesse eisenberg i swear to fucking god. its him. jesse. the flesh. the premier.

  • @boomtimeproductions agreed, it looks just like him!!

  • He is my favourite villain. He is an arch criminal yes, but he also sticks with his own way and his own principles. And he will not hesitate to face his enemies himself if necessary. And he never pretends. He is a perfect example of the expression ''just be yourself''. He is a true villain. I don't know who made The Shredder character for the firt movie but they did a perfect job. Without The Shredder, this first movie couldn't have been fulfilled.

  • @HalflingShireFolk Kevin Eastman & Peter Laird. The same people who created and write the 84 comics.

  • His appearance, voice, his statements and the style of his entrace all shout that he is serious and he means business, and he means it with a sense and atmosphere of fear and respect combined.

  • He is all charisma.

  • "I am your father". It would have been pretty cool if one of the kids were to yell out: "No. That's not true. That's impossible!"

  • i want that helmet so fucking bad

  • Scary individual. Great entrance for a bad mofo right there.

  • *shudder* The live-action Shredder is scary as hell!

  • 1}This must work better if you're 11 years old.

2} Imagine a movie with Darth Vadar and Barbie! Woo-woo!

  • 2:03 jesse eisenberg!?!??

  • 7 people don't like pizza

  • I would like to point out that the kid at the end who tried to get his attention........shit him self, rightfully so.

  • You all should see the Nostalgia Critic episode for Blair Witch 2. He parodies this part so well it makes me laugh my lungs out.

  • MOST EPIC INTRO OF A CHARACTER ENTRY MOVIE AWARD GOES TOOOO..

    SHREDDER!!.

    CAUSE HE DID....

    LIKE A FUCKING BOSS!!

  • two things, 1 he totally had a darth vader moment. 2 the foot clan's insignia in the cartoon looks like the rebel symbol from star wars

  • Those are some intense shoulder pads!

  • In hindsight prolly should not have called others freaks of nature when wearing that outfit. :P

  • Set Green @ 2:59?!

  • Al Qaeda?!

  • @aMgVbros4aetas oh yeah.

  • Money cannot buy the honor of being a fan of this movie as a kid, you make us all prooouudd...

  • this version of the shredder's music is better than the soundtrack.

  • @TheJamesmario really?? The orig v. sounds sooo epic esp the last 2 min. I prefer the official soundtrack version but to each their own. Its weird that the track on the soundtrack doesnt actually exist in the movie!

  • The Shredder has style for a great entrance

  • That was a bitch move Danny

  • @SouthParkDEA Who?

  • @SouthParkDEA lol

  • @SouthParkDEA ......I don't get it

  • The Shredder is the best! I love the Ninja Turtles! Been a fan since I was a kid!

  • The shredder was first seen in 1984 in mirage comic Teenage Mutant Ninjia Turtles 1.

Empire strikes back came out in 1980.

This film came out in 1990. So Vader would be the reference source on both occasions. However you can also argue Fagin from Oliver Twist is a inspiration for this Shredder incarnation.

  • this dude is the turtles what vader was to luke skywalker

  • >HE WILL BE THE ULTIMATE ANTI-CHRIST!! Shredder!*

  • London needs ''The Foot".

  • This gave me goosebumps when I was a kid, still does. Anybody who can still sound that menacing while talking about punishing turtles is a bad dude

  • the only thing that would make this better is vanilla ice

  • Comment removed

  • For some reason it invokes memories of Darth Vader when he said "I am your father."

  • @wvd1979 haha pretty sure Darth Vader was the inspiration

  • @eldiablov2 No I think Shredder came first. And Shredder would whoop Darth's ass

  • Kid: Master...

*everyone turns to look at him*

    Kid: I love turtles

    Shredder: WHAT?

Kid: I have one named bob *laughs stupidly*

  • Shredder kicks ass.

  • @dodgesxt Seriously, this TMNT film is the ORIGINAL, THE BEST!!!

  • 2:13 nice star wars reference

  • Absolutely perfect scene

  • @CommentaryX No! It's not true! It's not possible!

  • zombie kid in the crowd : I LIKE TURRTLES!

  • @dodgesxt

    I agree.

Adding money to something, sometimes just makes it worse.

As Mr. Scott once said, "The more they over think the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain." ;)

  • @dodgesxt

I know...but as long as there's money to be made... Hollywood will stubbornly still try.

  • yeah... i was in the foot clan but now i work with kids lol jk

  • This Shredder scared the hell out of me when I was a kid. Best character in the entire movie. I was pretty upset that they made him die like a punk (that was my reaction before he was brought back for the sequel).

  • he is some kind of sub zero and scorpion in one person :D

  • 7 people. You're one to many for a gay dozen.

  • @djohnson87 whats that mean?

  • I think he called Quan just before coming to this meeting.

  • shredder is one of the best villians ever he is too powerful and unstoppable

  • One entrance...to rule them all.

  • I challenge

  • I love this scene, The music is awesome and the introduction is genious.

  • Shredders helmet looks better and more serious in the first movie thumb up if u agree!

  • @Onico5 I think so too, The sequal didn't keep the dark enviroment. The first movie is more what New York is pretty much,

  • @ZAPPSOFT I agree. I think Nolan and Burton should make a new TMNT movie with a dark and mysterious story. All the money nonsense and extreme technology nonsense in movie making spoiled everything up. The new producers must put aside all that craziness about extreme technology stuff and silly stories and ideas for a while at least, to come up with such a great old style beyond-classic masterpiece like this today.

  • @Onico5 That is beyond agreeing, that is a fact dude.

  • I totally agree with king0785, I was going to say that Shredder is like the japanese version of Darth Vader but he said it first.... Great villain.

  • I caught a second Star Wars connection.

Not only do we get "I am your father", but in that same speech we get "there is a new enemy", which pretty much matches Emperor Palpatine's "we have a new enemy" also in The Empire Strikes Back.

  • this song should be used on NFL films.....it makes me think of a highlight real of a bad ass defense like the 02 Ravens or Raiders ........................I love this movie man....damn

  • Ah yes, the ghetto Darth Vader.

  • 6 people are just some of many bitchy parents who complained about how violent this movie was way back in the day.

These 6 people (as well as others) are the reasons as to why Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze & Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III were a lot less darker, violent & more kid friendly.

  • @Nicksolo85

I know what you mean. The first Ninja Turtles movie was intended to be closer to the original comics than the cartoon series.

  • jet li is going to be shredder in the reboot of this ....look it up

  • i never knew money couldn't buy a red headband and a black sock.

  • @MrShadeviperx

    you know nothing

  • @MrShadeviperx it is the meaning, the principles that is symbolized and lays behind a mere ''red headband'' and those are not socks, those are ninja suits/outfits. Cheers

  • SOOOOOOOO Much better than part 2

  • @tonicrocks26 part 2 was an insult to Shredder, he didn't even fight!!!I don't count the three punches he gave to the bridge as fighting.

  • Something... from the paaaaaaaaast...

  • Maybe all that hardwares for making coleslaw ?

  • It remains me when I'm entering my classroom.

  • @wondermega4ever yeah you probably shouldn't do that if there's a test, you'll be a big distraction and you'll more than likely run out of time yourself.

  • His entrance is EPIC!!

  • wow he was alot scarier here than on the cartoon

  • This movie gives me inspiration.

  • Shredder is a pedophile in this movie..?

  • @somethinglacking1 Okay, seriously. Fuck you. Your mind being in the gutter is not cute or clever right here.

Yes, I'm mad. And I am flipping out on you. I'm saving you the reason to reply to this. Don't do it again.

  • @GreenGearMood relax man it was a joke.

  • @GreenGearMood well fuck you then.

  • To this day, this is still the best TMNT film ever, and the only true TMNT film. The rest is second class.

  • the cartoon shredder scared me when i was a kid

  • MORTAL KOMBAT!!! Wait, wrong movie...

  • The theme song coerced you into fearing and respecting the Shredder.

  • If you ever need a can opener...SHREDDER's your Man!

  • @MuNoZ243 Why is Shredder wearing Hugh Hephner pajamas?

  • @fastfist1

does elton john know he raided his closet?

  • @fastfist1 Because he can.

  • @MuNoZ243 I have the can opener. I need a food processor, though.

  • i think his helmet was a little too bulky, but it does appear to be functional in the final fight scene... if only quentin tarantino would've directed it back in the day, or oliver stone, would've done the franchise some entertainment justice!

  • together we will ponich these creetures... these.............. TUHTOLS!!!!

  • Belive it or not..the shreder is my kung fu teacher

  • @bnmartiol

He's not kunfu idiot , he's karate and haikodo

  • @IBroLLyISePhIrOtH Nope, he knows ninjutsu. Take a better and closer look at his outfit, especially his mask and helmet. And all the knives on his hand, forearms, shoulders and forelegs. What does it all look like? Do you think that he could beat four very well trained NINJA Turtles with Karate or Aikido?

  • my favorite movie when i was a kid back in the early 90's, used to watch it constantly. Was curious to see this entrance again since i haven't watched the movie in about 15 years or so and saw a few mins on tv a couple weeks ago.

What an epic entrance, didn't realize back then how good the actual filmmaking itself was in this movie. Well made for the type of film it is. Great lighting and angles. Also captures the early 90's perfectly, really makes me nostalgic.

  • The outside world rejects me, where's my 2010 Shredder

  • What kind of epic 80s material was his cloak made out of??

  • @MammaleousMaximus Also, this is an example to not raise your hand and volunteer information to a guy wearing sharp metal and a garbage bag for a cape.

  • Is any one else getting a Darth-Vader vibe from this? :/

  • @AVIATIO Yep. And Splinter is way too Yoda in TMNT2.

  • Now THAT is how you introduce a villain.

Cinematic lighting. Great score. Dramatic angles. His movements in something as simple as walking in and looking at his subjects, are smooth and ominous. His first in command bows to him and pulls his cape back to reveal the blades on his shoulders. He is a king, He doesn't need to throw a single punch or kick to show that he is to be feared. Within 1 minute and 1 long camera shot, you see his full character summarized perfectly.

    EPIC FILM MAKING!

  • @mngentry Wow, very well summarized! Shredder is a great villian, and the 1990 Turtle movie rocks! :)

  • @mngentry stfu

  • @iFlyHigh914

Nice to meet you too. ;)

  • @iFlyHigh914 i don't like (or use) profanity, but i couldn't help but laugh at your response :o)

  • @mngentry Amen to that, this scene used to scare the crap outta me! This movie still holds up today in my opinion.

  • @mngentry - I agree. Why hasn't this been done for Dr. Doom yet, one of fiction's most notorious villains, if not THE most notorious villain?

  • @mngentry I completely agree, I wish more movies could have built from the foundation that this movie had instead of going the CGI route.

  • @mngentry i agree, the shreeder is so "cool" on the evil side. this movie is one my top 50 faves

  • @mngentry u forgot the voice lol! is very epic

  • This scene is so bad ass

  • When I was a kid I thought the film's adaption of The Shredder character was absolutely terrifying.

  • The lighting at 0:36 is epic

  • I was like 8 and my mom was driving me to school and still have this tape. But heard it then. How old are you people now that remember it really? I'm 29 now. Most of you weren't even born yet. Give it up TMNT forever !!!!!

  • I like tuhtles.

  • shredder reminds me of japanese version of darth vader

  • @king0785 ikr

  • @king0785 He did just proclaim to be their father lol

  • @king0785 Well, thats true but we have to remember that George Lucas based Darth Vader´s aspect on a Samurai armor, which is japanese, so Shredder (being japanese) is more "rightful" to look that way, is just that Star Wars came first. Have a great time buddy.

  • @javierlocutor good strong point

  • Comment removed

  • i like the grunt tatsu does when hes done pampering the shredder

  • I'd so be a member of the foot clan

  • STOP SNITCHING!

  • i like that sounds shedder makes when he suddenly turns his head.

only true villians have facial sound effects

  • @Feztizio13 Shaaaaaa!

  • I think shredder is SEXY

  • shredder is the most bad-ass and really the most realistic villain in a long time.

  • The Shredder in this movie is so bad ass!

  • Wow, this takes me back. This movie is still just as good, and Shredder is just badass. Man what an entrance.

  • This is the best of the 3 tmnt movies that came out in the early nineties. I remember seeing this when it came out. 20 years ago. This one is the darkest and had the best fight scenes

  • If there was a Foot Clan in my area/region, I would wanna join it.

I think I would look cool in a Foot Soldier costume like that.

  • @Nicksolo85 me too

  • Shredder = super badass

  • does anyone know where i can get a wav/mp3 of this speech, it kick so much ass

  • Respond to this video...

  • that little shit

  • 2:13 I am your father!

  • i love the music here

  • "These creatures, these... BABIIIIIES!!!"

  • These creatures! These... TURTLES!!!

  • he reminds me of darth vader, specially when he says" i am your father"

  • I love this part of the movie. They should have ended the TMNT movies to this one. This was good, dark, gritty & humorous at parts at the same time. Rest of the movies = shit.

  • Most BAD-ASS music for a bad-guy entrance. IMO this movie was kind of to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles what Batman Begins and The Dark Knight have been for the Batman franchise. They should have done like Christopher Nolan and made the TMNT sequel even more darker than this one. This film had the realism to it that makes it seem more serious. I don't know why superhero films must always be silly. This was more adult.

  • FUCK. WHAT WAS HE ABOUT TO SAY?

  • @destroyallnerds I might know where they are

  • @destroyallnerds He was about to disclose the location of where the Turtles are hiding out, (April's Apartment). This is done off screen, so you don't actually see him do it.

  • Listen to the guitar intro for the Boss. I wish this was a ringtone.

  • Superb movie! One of the BEST villains of all time. Fantastic music! What could we Turtles Fans which more for! 5/5 stars! Thump me up plz! =)

  • @shairaptor wish not which

  • this guy has got to be one of my favorite bad guys

  • how did they make that Shredder costume ? !

    I want it to
