Had a nicer view on a higher floor of the same tower; good view of mirage and bird's eye view of strip. Room was surprisingly nice (I've since learned that Mardi Gras tower rooms are newer), but I thought the bed was way too soft.

I booked 5 nights in a classic room for $46 a night on Expedia. When I got to the front counter I tried the old $20 sandwich tip trick, but it didn't work. I should have known, I got a middle aged women who looked all business. Still, I had to at least try. She offered me a Premium room for $15 more a night, which is still a good price.
For $60 a night, during peak season, it was a really good room.
It's actually considered a Premium room, which is priced somewhere between the Classic and Luxury room. It was located in the Mardi Gras tower, which is the more modern tower. Rooms in the Mardi Gras tower have been recently renovated.
No editing required. The camera saves videos in the .mp4 format, which is the preferred format for YouTube videos. I literally just dragged the videos onto my desktop, then uploaded them to YouTube, as is. Hope this helps.
The zoom is good. It's a 5x optical zoom. Many pocket camcorders come with 2x digital zoom, so having a 5x optical zoom is bonus. The zoom works great while taking video, but not so good when taking still pictures. Taking still picture while using the zoom on full zoom is very hard. My shots came out blurry. Next vacation I will be bringing both my still camera and my Xacti. Hope this helps.

Yeah, I stayed their during the week, Sunday-Friday. I spent the weekend downtown, at the Golden Gate.
