@bidefordrfc I agree with you in that sense,which is that footballers do all the "acting" stuff and etc,and has to be said that it is wrong!and it certainly does nothing but damage the sport's reputation to a certain degree but not all footballers are like that - and this has to be remembered.

When I refered to rugby players as being Orcs I was simply saying in a sense on which people would relate to on a "visual" level so that it would be clear "generalising" things isnt always the best to do

I mean, no one is saying football as a sport is particularly bad, but the attitude that has been adopted is hideous. Rugby stemmed from football, which gives you an indication (if you didnt already know)...

..about the intensity of which football was once played. Not to mention the oldschool footballers being tough as nails with great hob-nail boots and a ball that weighed half as much as a man.... so perhaps not football is for 'girlies' but football certainly is for those with no love for what the game once was....
