I mean, Snuff and Vermilion part 2 are good songs by Slipknot. I just think Slipknot is really only good with sad songs. I'm not a huge fan of Corey Taylor's screaming.
Mushroomhead generally makes more creative hardcore... Slipknot tends to make it relatively generic. A guitar in Drop A and double bass drums.
So there you have it, both bands are good. Just for different reasons.

slipknot has more of an attack in their songs, as well as very peaceful ones, slipknot does not however double bass alot, infact, mushroomhead double basses more then slipknot does, its just that in mushroomhead they dont amplify the drums as much as in slipknot on the recorded tracks, some songs are in drop A but the majority are in drop B,

Mushroomhead, in my opinion, focuses much much less on guitar, a decent amount on drums, and a lot more on singing.
Whereas Slipknot is guitar and drums more than like, how mushroomhead tends to make their songs.

if you're going to make any comparisons image wise slipknot and mushroomhead ( especially if you see a really old mushroomhead band picture are knocking off gwar but ALL the bands are doing it for different reasons. slipknot money, mushroomhead was the stop comparisons with there members other bands and gwar for showmanship

the only comparison that everyone has is the masks... i love both bands and neither of them were the first to start wearing masks onstage... just because one band wears a mask and becomes massive dosnt mean that NO other band can do it or they are copying them... you should look back to mr bungle years and see old skool mask wearing shit...who gives a shit, its a fucking mask... its for entertainment

Slipknot = love money so do shit comercial, Mushroomhead = Do GREAT MUSIC, and aren't comercial, but the ppl normaly likes, that likes to everywants, i mean, comercial shit, dudes, slipknot with his last albums, looks like if they aredoing POP or sth!! :S
