thanks to this, I finally improved my speed to 184BPM. still trying to hit 200. getting there, though! just goes to show that Petrucci's not only a great guitar player, but a great teacher as well.

Ah man I thought this was so hard a year ago, I couldn't even play clean chromatics between all four fingers..now it's easy to play but still hard as hell to play RIGHT and cleanly...and most of all super weird to try and accent the beats...overall, Petrucci is clearly the Einstein of guitar.

Playing the scale takes a year. getting it clean and full of emotion is the part that takes 20 years :D
