  • Thank you for sharing. Very good instruction in video. You made it look easy.

  • I hate that backstep more than anything in the world.

  • love playing this in a jam where not everyone knows it well...fun ensues.

  • Very helpful, Thanks for explaining this again. I think I get it now. A new measure starts with the high A note, and the "backstep" is an extra 1/2 measure just before it?

What about Wheel Hoss? The B part goes 7 measures of 4/4, then one 3/4 followed by a 4/4 before repeating. One chord straight through the whole thing for added confusion....

    Isn't U tube great?

  • This is a tricky tune. The "Backstep" , or !/2 measure during the B part coincides with the 5 chord. The next 5 chord turnaround has the same duration, it's the last half of the 7th measure. Careful listening and counting along with your playing sound to me that you are adding time at the end of 8 bars instead of after the first four. Very tasty playing though, and sweet tone.

Check out Ralph's video, and count along to see what I mean. Wheel Hoss has a tricky B part too. Jambusters!

  • Thanks man. I've been working on this...
