All believers in peace over violence are simply slaves as Nietzsche would say...finding a way to re-actively value themselves because they are too abjectly weak to bring violence into the equation.
You talk about Hitler , but at the same time he was reigning terror Blacks where still getting hung and tortured so you could say America was more hypocritical than justified to use violence against anyone
@Wailot6 you couldn't if i said something like '' i think american is stupid, i think that this generation is going down the tube...its pathetic, im scared of the future just because of kids of today.. the government is stupid.. celebrities of all kinda are stupid they get paid WAY TO MUCH for having their ''fans'' barely living. a nfl football man makes like 100x more then the president ...like WTF... But if you don't like the people's free choice in America you can giiit out!

@babyblaze2011 don't give me that conspiratorial "america isn't free" crap, and I didn't say that I hated my country, why would I? I wasn't badmouthing anything. and why would you be doing that anyway?
@nvcn86 Funny that you say that! There happens to be an informal fallacy so coincidentally called the "appeal to force" fallacy. Keep your mind in check. Stay in control.
@cipihevent you cannot use logic to argue with someone who accepted something despite logic. you need to realize that the argument might not work because the one who you're talking to just doesn't want to understand it.
The only reason why violence becomes the answer is someone else is committing it. Ultimately, violence begets violence though, and if nobody committed it preemptively, there'd be no reason to retaliate. So, I do still hold it as a kind of ideal for that reason. The problem with revolutionary violence is it often backfires and leads to regimes more destructive and oppressive than the one's they replaced. Case in point is the French and Russian revolutions.

Rationalism. War. Vanity. Ego. Self. Bitterness. Vengeance. Bullying. Aggression.
All indicators of people who feel powerless within their own lives. It isn't strength but rather a symptom of emotional immaturity.
Abuse of any kind - including violence comes from those who want to feel power over others. True strength only emerges from a peaceful heart and a centred being.
All of the above are choices. Your destiny determined by choices YOU make.
Death is a part of life. And everything happens for a reason.
This life is authentic and suffering is a part of life - as I'm you know. It isn't or can't be "made easy".
I have had the blessing to have known poverty in my own life and to know someone who lost four children. To watch her grace and humility and acceptance of God's will. Well - there are no words to convey the beauty of such a soul.
So your compartmentalizing of suffering is of course your choice of thought to make.
It's my own belief that we choose our existence here in partnership with God.
The person I knew had humility and grace to know that life isn't about understanding everything - rather accepting and finding peace in God. Some things seem extraordinarily cruel but there is a spiritual poverty as well as material poverty. The spiritual - being the greater in my opinion and experience.
"religion is for people who are afraid to go to hell - spirituality is for those who have already been there."
@telemetry9 I'm glad you realize you can't know that but you're inconsistent.
You told us god is love. How could you know that since you're only human? You told us everything happens for a reason. How could you know that since you're only human? Do you see how you don't know that stuff either? You just pulled it out of your butt.
@lamareikan666 ok so if you re talking to a guy and trying to tell him you dont like his pants or something and he wont understand you start beating him
In conclusion, peace is not the answer to situations. Instead, our efforts, if you will, are for peace. Though, there is no absolute peace in this world. That is like saying a person is perfect (not that perfect doesn't vary by opinion but that only supports my point anyway). Instead, find the peace in you. Live in your world, not 'our world'. By that note, by living your world of understanding, you help our world in the process. Use the Budduh, Siddhartha, and his famous journey as reference.
Although he shakes his head too much when talking, and tries to get real cool artistic angles with the camera, if anyone would pay attention and listen to the end, his point is 100% valid. Don`t be a bitch. Stand up for what you believe in, and teach idiots a lesson. Had they been smacked for getting out of line as children they would be respectful mature adults.
Of course it is the answer for you, that's what you use to manipulate people.
You try very hard to get social status by abusing others while stating at all times the fashionable "i don't care" phrase. But you do care, not about doing good or making others happy, and you don't care enough about your own happiness either or you don't know how to because you're still angry and overweight.
@aardfay *facepalm* try going up to country like china in a conflict situation and try being all happy and pacifist, they will woop the floor with you, violence is sometimes the answer
@cooperTroopa1 "We"? Who is we? Did you kick the shit out of him? Whether you like it or not, he was a great military mind, and he eventually lost to England, but every leader in history was beaten at some point. That doesn't diminish him as an historical figure at all.
justice dictated by the supreme court (or any other court) can only come if there is someone (police, CIA, Army etc) willing to enforce such laws. if you work out and become really strong, then violence might not even be necessary because you might scare others by pure appereance. This is called strategic deterrence, and is usually what the US does. And so far it works, no more WW's. willing to enforce justice at any cost lowers threat levels. Violence, and enforcement are very different though.
@obamazigzg92 Are you that dumb? France had no choice they shared a border with Germany. The German army was probably the best in Europe if not the world. The U.S would have given up in the same posistion probably. Be glad there is a an Ocean inbetween us and them.
@soulburn2k5 - Evil has the non religious application of defining something that goes against what is commonly thought of as good and wholesome. Believe it or not religion is not the root of all things regarded as good.
you claim to be an atheist yet you use words like evil which is born from religion and really only has religious application, there is no such thing as evil
@soulburn2k5 Evil is a descriptor. Evil describes something that is abhorrent, unjust, and a large variety of things. There is real evil, not supernatural but that's beyond the point. There might not be one simple way to define evil but it can't be discounted as a useful descriptor. If you have a better word, enlighten me.
@Slipknot808 i prefer to use aberrant behavior, Evil is more of a way to relinquish social responsibility, oh that person is just evil, there isn't any point in trying to help them if they are 'evil' because it implies that its their nature and no matter the amount of help they recive they will always fall back into an 'evil' pattern, which is not at all true. its pretty much the same as saying 'human nature' its in our nature, implying that it cannot be changed.
@soulburn2k5 There are people who can't be helped. Sociopaths cannot be changed, it's a combination of genetics and societal neglect that creates somebody who can be, for lack of a better word, evil. It goes beyond abhorrent behavior. People like Jeffery Dahmer are beyond help. He had a normal life, loving parents, but he was hardwired in such a way that he didn't have emotions or a conscience. By definition he understood right and wrong but he couldn't on an emotional level. Continued:
@soulburn2k5 I'm not saying that we shouldn't try to help as many people as possible. There are a lot of people who can be helped but you'd be delusional to believe that everyone can be changed. There is not such thing as "human nature". Why waste your time calling somebody a psychopathic sadist with a god complex when you can call them 'evil.'
Either way, change the label if you want but we are describing the same thing.
@soulburn2k5 Evil does not have to have a religious connotation, although I generally avoid using the word because many people think it does. From what I've found online, the word "evil," as with many other words and concepts, has been appropriated by religion as though they invented it.
Living in a neutral-but-not-that-neutral country, I can tell you that the world has a higher opinion of France than America. The power hungry superiority complex America has does no favours for its image, making it look like a country full of self righteous dickheads, whereas France seems like a place that you can visit without being submitted to mass amounts of aggression and hate. No offence to the creator, but in this video, he displays the aggression and hate expected of his country.
Interesting points, but I disagree with you about the Civil Rights movement. The non-violence section use pacifism not to gain power for a selected group of people but to fight for the rights that the U.S. Constitution granted to all people. Jim Crow was an oppressive system that went against the constitution because it made laws that restricted peoples freedom.
Is violence the answer? I think that depends on the question. If the question is, "How do I stop this person from doing that?" or "What do I need to do in order to obtain that item?" then yes. I suppose violence would sometimes be the answer. But if the question is, "How should I conduct myself in order to bring about a healthier society in the future?' I don't think that violence is ever the answer.
0:45 TJ, you're completely wrong here. Our governing body did politely ask the English to stop what they were doing, it was called the Olive Branch Petition. Of course, when it fell through... well violence was the answer.

"religion is for people who are afraid to go to hell - spirituality is for those who have already been there."
telemetry9 4 months ago
@telemetry9 why can't you just give a straight answer? Can your god stop suffering? Yes or no is all you need to say.
jimmydoolittle22 4 months ago
How can i answer that? I'm only a human being.
telemetry9 4 months ago
@telemetry9 I'm glad you realize you can't know that but you're inconsistent.
You told us god is love. How could you know that since you're only human? You told us everything happens for a reason. How could you know that since you're only human? Do you see how you don't know that stuff either? You just pulled it out of your butt.
jimmydoolittle22 4 months ago
ah. Denouncing someone's life experience is your choice.
There's a difference between questioning and debate and outright denial of an experience of life that isn't your own.
telemetry9 4 months ago
who the hell made you so bitter and full of hate?
maybe you should be angry with them rather than the rest of the world and universe.

TheBrutalite 5 months ago
Of course it is the answer for you, that's what you use to manipulate people.
You try very hard to get social status by abusing others while stating at all times the fashionable "i don't care" phrase. But you do care, not about doing good or making others happy, and you don't care enough about your own happiness either or you don't know how to because you're still angry and overweight.

justice dictated by the supreme court (or any other court) can only come if there is someone (police, CIA, Army etc) willing to enforce such laws. if you work out and become really strong, then violence might not even be necessary because you might scare others by pure appereance. This is called strategic deterrence, and is usually what the US does. And so far it works, no more WW's. willing to enforce justice at any cost lowers threat levels. Violence, and enforcement are very different though.

@soulburn2k5 - Evil has the non religious application of defining something that goes against what is commonly thought of as good and wholesome. Believe it or not religion is not the root of all things regarded as good.

LRJared 6 months ago
@soulburn2k5
because using the word evil in his application in this video allows his viewers (which may be religious) to understand him
DaddyFatSzack 6 months ago
you claim to be an atheist yet you use words like evil which is born from religion and really only has religious application, there is no such thing as evil
soulburn2k5 6 months ago
@soulburn2k5 Evil is a descriptor. Evil describes something that is abhorrent, unjust, and a large variety of things. There is real evil, not supernatural but that's beyond the point. There might not be one simple way to define evil but it can't be discounted as a useful descriptor. If you have a better word, enlighten me.
Slipknot808 6 months ago
@Slipknot808 i prefer to use aberrant behavior, Evil is more of a way to relinquish social responsibility, oh that person is just evil, there isn't any point in trying to help them if they are 'evil' because it implies that its their nature and no matter the amount of help they recive they will always fall back into an 'evil' pattern, which is not at all true. its pretty much the same as saying 'human nature' its in our nature, implying that it cannot be changed.
soulburn2k5 6 months ago
@soulburn2k5 There are people who can't be helped. Sociopaths cannot be changed, it's a combination of genetics and societal neglect that creates somebody who can be, for lack of a better word, evil. It goes beyond abhorrent behavior. People like Jeffery Dahmer are beyond help. He had a normal life, loving parents, but he was hardwired in such a way that he didn't have emotions or a conscience. By definition he understood right and wrong but he couldn't on an emotional level. Continued:
Slipknot808 6 months ago
@soulburn2k5 I'm not saying that we shouldn't try to help as many people as possible. There are a lot of people who can be helped but you'd be delusional to believe that everyone can be changed. There is not such thing as "human nature". Why waste your time calling somebody a psychopathic sadist with a god complex when you can call them 'evil.'
Either way, change the label if you want but we are describing the same thing.
Slipknot808 6 months ago
@soulburn2k5 Evil does not have to have a religious connotation, although I generally avoid using the word because many people think it does. From what I've found online, the word "evil," as with many other words and concepts, has been appropriated by religion as though they invented it.
YY4Me133 6 months ago

Living in a neutral-but-not-that-neutral country, I can tell you that the world has a higher opinion of France than America. The power hungry superiority complex America has does no favours for its image, making it look like a country full of self righteous dickheads, whereas France seems like a place that you can visit without being submitted to mass amounts of aggression and hate. No offence to the creator, but in this video, he displays the aggression and hate expected of his country.
TheGreatDefective 6 months ago
Interesting points, but I disagree with you about the Civil Rights movement. The non-violence section use pacifism not to gain power for a selected group of people but to fight for the rights that the U.S. Constitution granted to all people. Jim Crow was an oppressive system that went against the constitution because it made laws that restricted peoples freedom.
Topg1 6 months ago
Is violence the answer? I think that depends on the question. If the question is, "How do I stop this person from doing that?" or "What do I need to do in order to obtain that item?" then yes. I suppose violence would sometimes be the answer. But if the question is, "How should I conduct myself in order to bring about a healthier society in the future?' I don't think that violence is ever the answer.
