It is not necessary for me to make a video, just go to El Nido Triangle and use X-Strike on that boss that can only be defeated with Red magics. (I don't remember if I used magnify, but I used turn red on Glenn and Serge.)

If you throw strengthen on Glenn and Serge and then throw weaken on an enemy that's blue you can do alot of damage with X-Strike. Because i remember killing Slash in one hit by doing that, i did something like 16000 or some high number.

@turtleboat by using summons that # decreases and when it hits zero u cant summon any more. To refill this go to another world and go to your house and talk to the small dragon thing next to ur bed and sleep up. you will be filly healed AND have you summon count refreshed.

@BillyTalentFan8 You can do even more with x-strike. It's recorded highest damage is a bit higher than 15,000. They had max leveled Serge and Glenn with pretty much just power boosting stuff equipped in accessories. Mastermune and dual wield Einlazer. Magnify the field, then lores the enemy, then cast redfield. They may have done some more stuff, but I can't remember.

I noticed some comments on the Rainbow equipment...

The Rainbow equipment needs Rainbow Shells, and a Shiny material that you get when you use a summon in battle. You need to use a summon of each color to get all of the Shiny materials. Then, you need to get the two Zappas together (One in your party), and then you need to get the Master Hammer from some guy in Marbule (It's a very hefty, but VERY worth-it price). The Rainbow equips are the best in the game, except the Mastermune.

@masterhans12 its impossible to use a summon on dario unless you use an element that changes the field to a certain color. dario automatically counters elements with elements of the opposite color like red he counters with blue white counters with black and so on

As for serge, i recommend getting the Mastermune

The only thing though with Mastermune is that you lose it on New Game+ since it is part of Serge's initial weapon. If you can get the Spectra Swallow from the rainbow shell you can keep that weapon on a new game+.

almost forgot, i only kill them because they are too numerous, i could get shiny material of them easily and i need that for the rainbow equipment, the beach bums and the gerridae, if you want shiny soot, you have to go and kill dark monsters so their magic leave the field dark, and if you want sand, well, cupoids (almost always 4 or 3 and mixomicete) are your way to go

you could pick the most defenseless enemy in the game, like a beach bum, then use the summon of the opposite element salamander, and you can get an insane amount of damage, of course that's overkill, i went one game plus and got above 15 000, but...doing that to only one poor harmless monster... i would be proud if i could do that to the time devourer or one of the big ones, not those small fry that i dont like to kill at all

@williansensui The highest recorded damage was done by an x-strike. Magnify, lores, then red field. Then x-strike. It was over 15,000 and below 16,000. I can't find the video for it anymore.

It wasn't me who did it either. It was one of those professional game speed runner guys. So they beat your damage, but not by much.

There's a trick. It involves loading a memory card or something like that. Load the character from the file when you still have Harlequin.  .

At a certain point during new game plus you can use the Chrono Cross in the Hydra's Marsh to get the characters from your previous playthroughs. So, all you have to do is beat the game once while Harle is still in your party and you will be able to get her in all of you subsequent playthroughs.
