  • never do it to where the back feet are off the ground

  • people are ignorant! its great exercise for these energetic dogs. mine loves it too and in no way is it cruel or inappropriate. it's a great way to release energy which in turn has wonderful benefits. Pitbulls ROCK!! best breed worst rep...

  • @macbar7 Hi macbar7 , i have a question , how do you make a pitbull to like this? i mean,do all pits like it? im getting a new puppy in a couple of days i would like to know :)

ps : is there any training?

  • how do you get them to let go

  • @TheDiego559 that have to know a release word, but you have to teach them before hand. Using a leash when practicing helps. If they get to worked up they won't let go even if you tell them to. Telling them to release every once and a while helps too. It lets them know that I can get it back if i behave. I would have mine sit and stay until i say go...when i get one that is :C

  • how do i get my pitbull 2 do that ???

  • @alasdefuego13 get his favorite toy play tug o war wit him then wen he love the toy hang it from a tree, the toy shud b a rope, hell jump for it,thats how i did mine

  • @alasdefuego13 get his favorite toy play tug o war wit him then wen he love the toy hang it from a tree, the toy shud b a rope, hell jump for it,thats how i did mine.

  • wtf is the point of this???

  • how do u train them to do that??

  • @AkAfinestxXx you cant train them to do it,its a matter if they like it or not,

  • I have a Pit and i would never do this..not cool..soo dangerous..I mean really ..not cool at all!

  • THATZ STUPID,WHY WOULD U KEEP THE LEASH ON,AND U PULLING ON HIM LIKE THAT

  • u shudnt exercise your dog until hes atleast a year old

  • i just made my one year old a similar one his other favorite thing is my trampoline he loves it

  • Nice looking canine. However, I strongly advise you not to let your dog hang without its hind legs touching the ground - you're asking for an accident. There have been plenty of accidents involving broken legs, etc. from letting them hang. In addition, having the dog's hind legs touch the ground provides a better exercise than simply hanging. ; )

  • very nice dog !

    look at mine

  • very nice dog !

    look at mine

  • my rottweiler did this practically every day of his life, without encouragement, reward, aggression or training from me,he would dangle from a car tyre on a rope swing until he literally got bored of it and went and did something else instead.i wanted to mention this because a lot of people assumed that id trained him to do it or promoted dog fighting or attack training, which i obviously didnt,it was just my dogs way of entertaining himself and burning off some energy.

  • pitts love doin thiss kinda stuff there jaws lock so thats why when he spins the dogg stays gripped really tite so nice demonstration and good looking dog =) i have a male 9 weeks old and cant wait to see him grown big like that.

  • @freak1squad1gurls THERE JAWS DO NOT FUCKING LOCK YOU IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's a myth it's just they are very detirmined and love to hold on to it, there is nothing in there jaws that helps them, it's all in the mind.

  • gypsy

  • u stupid jewsih cunt

  • MORON! dont EVER let the back feet leave the ground....do you even know who the f#ck Honeybunch was?

  • bitch if the dog was in any kind of pain or discomfort it would have stopped, so YOUR the stupid FUCK. pitbulls love this kinda stufff

  • is it a male? how old?

  • no mater what others say, this is good excercise for dogs, also german shepherds need this, this is common technique to make dog better for use in police assesments

  • why the fuck didnt your take off the leash stupid fuck? looks like your choking your dog u fuckin idiot

  • so if someone comes near and the dog wants to charge at him , he would not be able to

  • to kairichaos01 that is actually a way to exercise pit bulls and german shepherds the police use this for german shepherds to make thier jaws stronger and that is also used to exercise pitbulls to make the more buff i raise pit bulls but honestly i wouldn't use it because it teaches the to be aggressive and i know that from past experiance what i use now is a harness attached to something heavy and they have to pull it

  • I love pitbulls and and a proud owner of a bluenose. I not claiming to know everything about them but the reason the dog in video isn't letting go is due to his instinct to kill, all animals have that instinct. Walking, jogging are great excerise for dogs and owners. My dog enjoys tugging so i made a harness and strap for her to pull heavy materials, which she seems to really enjoy. I love a good arguement so bring it on...lol

  • i have about an 8 month blue nose but if i dont have a machine like this how do i get it buff?

  • if you buy a padded harness and a really strong leash and attach it to something heavy it works great i raise pit bulls and it always works

  • This is not a good excerise for your pitbull! It is actually teaching your dog to be more aggressive. I am sure your dog is very nice and well behaved but with time as your dog ages gets a little slower mentally what is to stop him from thinking a small child isn't a toy to hang off. Pitbulls were like most dogs breed for hunting, and pitbulls were used to take down wild bore.

  • Did you attach a spring with it? It doesn't looks like you had a spring on that springpole. It'll break your dog's neck and spine if you don't have the extra spring to absorb the shock. Btw, please remove the leash and stop letting him hang like that.

  • WTF are you doing to that dog what kind of exercise is that? is that even way to treat a dog ?

  • pit bulls were bred for bull baiting, so this is instinct for them. my roomate has a pit pull and he loves to jump up and hang from a rope in the backyard

  • mine is super fat and she can still do that

  • mine is about 3 years and she never did that

do u think she is too old to learn ??

    thx

  • my pit doesnt really like toys or ropes or anything hes 9 months any ideas in getting him interested would be much appreciated

  • YES! definitely a GREAT way to get their energy out. I also use a flirtpole! & we go for 3 mile walks everyday...

& pits do NOT have "lock jaws" but they r very determined dogs, if they want something they will not let go!

    I love my pitbulls!!<3

  • di not have your dog leashed while doing this type of workout, very dangerous

  • @deeroberge why?

  • this is a very good dog!!!!!! My staff have 6 months and love tug of war!!!! but dont like this! Look my staff!!! but this is a clip vere he is litle!!!

  • All you've done is create a behavioural obsession with your dog. The way to exercise a dog is to WALK it, go running with it, anything except aggressive play. It doesnt matter where you live, you dont exercise a dog in the house. They should be walked DAILY, and breeds like this need a MINIMUM of an hours brisk exercise a day. If you cant provide that, you shouldnt own a dog as you cant fulfill its need. Too many pitbull owners fail to exercise their dogs sufficiently.

  • My pit bull is going to be 5 months soon and he does not like tug-of war. or wouldnt do what yours does does it just take time

  • yes onece its big enough to ju8mp and tear shit apart (like your couch) hell start just get him running alot a good excercise i find is throwing sticks over a hurdle of some sort...like a four foot fence....they like to please thier master so they will work hard to do so just alot of execise will do the trick and you gotta let him play with a rope and then put it in the tree hell jump up and get it in no time...just comes to show how strng these dogs really are...only dogs isee danglin from tree

  • hey when it comes down to fact rott i think has the strongest jaws but u need a pitbull's strength to really break something

  • hey i was wrong my dog trainer siad they cant lock there jaws! wow i have a lot more to learn :]

  • i said im sorry before! i didnt know! the meanie starting with high school kids!

  • To each his own, but in my eyes this is an overly agressive dog from what I've seen at the begining of the video. my dog runs, while I'm on a bike so I can keep a vigurous pace with her to work her out. This type of activity I believe encourages clamping down. At the most I might play tug of war with my dog, but encouraging biting is the last thing you want to do. just my honest opinion, not knocking anyone.

  • love it

  • hiz neck bout to break

  • that dog doesnt feel good

  • i rather run with my pit for 10 miles nonstop everyday at 5:30 in the morning than to do this. this exercise is for stupid, lazy owners. sorry.

  • thats not cool.

  • LOL! My dog used to LOVE this. He had a shoe with a huge rope going through the sole hanging from the rafters. He'd swing on that thing and shake the whole house, it was fucking awesome. He had a big ol' smile on his face afterwords. Bullies just love to bite. =)

  • abraham lincoln

  • Lock there jaws like pigs can fly!!!!!!1

  • Hey guys would you mind to check vickyspin page?there you'll get much, much knowledge bout pitbulls.A big help to those who got one pit. Like me..

  • actually they can lock there jaws its so cool

  • No they can't

  • Yeah it's a myth. And fuck all you stupid niggers that fight dogs, fuck you.

  • STFU - you lose your credibility when you spout ignorance. take your time to formulate your point and stop watching TV to find out about your African descended cohorts.

  • dude pitbull have da strongest jaws.

so its not locking there jaws.

    is just there strength

  • the rottweiler has the strongest jaws, then its the german shepard, than the pit bull

  • what!!!

but how come in some people say

da the pitbull have da strongest jaws??

  • The people that know nothing about the breed are the people that give them bad reps. And if the news would quit giving pitbulls a bad name then some people might take the time to get to know this breed.

  • cuz they're to lazy to look up information so they go by what the media says

  • finally somebody gets the order right about the strongest jaws omg i've been waiting for someone else besides me to know this i hate people who say pits have the strongest no its rott then german shepard then pit!thank you!

  • actually they can't its been studied and proven dumb shit

  • I dunno if ima let my Pit do that when he gets older. After the first couple of mins. i would think he was not letting go cuz his teeth were stuck on the rope or something..

  • Great vid. But dude, your dog should always be able to reach the ground with its' back legs, or it can get neck/back injuries, +it's not so good for its teeth hanging like that..

You do what ever u feel is right, but I wouldn't do that to my dogs. But we do work out the spring poole, I just let them reach ground. I think cowskin is really good for this excercise. It's nice on their teeth too. Just my opinion. As I said, great vid bro =)

  • Its like a doggie yo yo.. lol.. cool vid

  • I've been breeding Razors Edge Blue Pitbulls out of S. Chicago for about 3 years now, and my dogs all love doing the same shit! what do you use for them to bite onto? I just have a deflated basketball with a slit cut in it and a good size chunk of steak in it. probably not the best method, but it definitely works.

  • just like your mum

  • hey mine is a pitbull regardless if he is colored. They still are the same breed. There is no purebred dog in a pitbull world. Its all crossbreeding..Like a dogo argentino..A pitbull..My blue is APBT and registered through the ukc.not to be mean or anything. But I agree they don;t have lock jaws they are just stubborn and if they are determined to keep something they arent going to let go for anything.:)

  • Lol they do not have locking jaws, they just have strong jaws and are very tenacious...never giving up. This appears to be a REAL american pit bull terrier... very nice- not one of these monster headed blue mutts.

  • sry those two comments were supposed to be replies, i wonder why it did not work...

  • Nice vid, but I would lower the bite object. He should be able to touch the ground with his back legs when resting.

  • my pit loves to do that too.

  • This is really good for the dog's stamina. Let is there for a months until summer comes. Then it'll be a monster.

  • PIT'S Love to do that!! Please look at my pit on

    POOCH-E-TV dot COM.

They are amazing animals when given proper care and love!

  • your dogg has a mean lock....

  • If you wanna buy a pitbull and you dont know much about it, then you should read n learn, read alot so you know the pitbull in n out

  • lockjaw.......? for real how old are you the dogs that let go never got bred back in the day, any good pitbulldog will release upon command,immediately,this is the first command you should teach any dog "OUT" {that ones for free junior}

  • they don't have lockjaw idiot.. they are d-o-g-s, dog's (and any other mammal) do not have locking jaws..

  • I have a thousand dollars for any owner of a Labarador that can prove his dog can do this for an entire minute let alone "HOURS" This aint a swimming contest dude, wich i have a pit who will gladly swim against any cur breed to even mention another breed in this blog just shows how much you know, and this is the number 1 problem of our beloved breed novices to dogs and totally ignorant of pitbulls, and full of shit!!!

  • okay.i am thinking about getting a pit bull but im not sure and is there osme not as vicouse at other?well im new about pits lol and im intrested in getting one so if any1 is kind enough to message me about pits ill be very thankful

  • um, just by reading this you are not ready to own a pit.. If you don't know enough about pitbulls (or dogs in general) to know that every dog has it's own unique personality. Some pits are shy and submissive, others are tenacious and bold.. Dogs of anybreed are never born overly aggressive or "vicous".. Research the breed more before deciding on getting a pit so that you know what you are getting into.

  • nice dog

  • This is a great way of exercising dogs, especially pitbulls. It'll work out their neck muscle.

  • bad ass nice video dude

  • my pit loves to go on the spring pole

  • guys theres no point explaining stuff like this to ignorant people. they wont understand it, pits have too much of a bad name for the general public. just let them think what they think. but man i cant wait for my pup to grow and make him play on the springpole!

  • as long as the owner has control dis is fine. my lab can do the same thing for hours (if i'd let her) so should be ban ALL labs? she wasn't bred to do it... she just loves rope toys. shes harmless. it depends on the owner. my girl wouldnt harm a fly but could grip onto a toy like dat. my m8s rottie wasn't socialised as a pup so he is nervous but now my m8 rescued him and he is a great trainer we go agility together and work wiv agility people from all ages. IT DEPENDS ON THE OWNER.

  • Have you ever had trouble with him letting go when you want him to?

  • They don't let go, they only let go once their jaws get tired. That's why pits are known for their lockjaws

  • lol your a dumbass.

  • How come other dog breeds like golden retrievers or shnauzers don't do it then? Just pits?

  • Thats not what the were bred to do. Pits like to bite onto stuff. Its not just pits. Bulldogs do it as well. I have also seen Jack Russells do it.

  • Probably because retrievers were bred to retrieve game without damaging the carcas, which means they have to have a gentle bite, and shnauzers were bred to catch vermin. Bulldogs were bred for bullbaiting which meant to grab onto a bull's nose and HANG ON. You throw a retriever something, he'll gently bring it back to you. You send a schnauzer after a mouse, and he'll gladly do it. You hang a rope from a tree, and guess what a pit bull will do.

  • Nice!

  • shut the fuck up the pitbulls like it

  • that's cruel. And that's the reason why a child doesn't have a chance when it's caught by such a dog. Don't play games like that!

  • Thats funny any dog can cause serious injury. Hanging like that is a natural ability a pit bull has from his ancestors. They will do it on there own given a low enough branch or something from a tree.

  • your actually pretty stupid....it is not cruel, it is part of their heritage and has nothing to do with kids in any shape form or fashion. It is a great way to exercise your dog and to keep it fit.

  • Biting doesn't mean viciousness, Pits are prey dogs and love to bite, it's exercise for them... or do you work out to beat up people??? no right?? Agresiveness in ANY dog it's only consecuence of bad training and bad owners.

  • Muy bueno. Saludos !! Argentina APBT Club

  • that is so cool!

  • jo. o cia taj sunelis...
