they have stepped up their design immensely and i am really happy to see that. But i really hope the reliability has gotten better, my family has own 2 fords and both of them completely died as soon as they hit the 100k mark. While i knew others with 90's era toyota's and honda's pulling 300k on theirs. It really does leave a bad taste in your mouth about american cars.
My dad says that this car is a pig, and i can do better on a first car, But what can i say, he says that about all my choices, man it pisses me off, i'm looking for a cheap affordable car like the sedan.
Ford has been importing and selling the new fiesta in Brazil from Mexico with manual air conditioning and manual gearbox, without fog lights, without ABS and Airbag... Guess how much is the bargain?! USD 28.000,00 It's an absurd! Selling one car in Brazil they make profit of selling three cars in Europe! Disgusting!
I cant understand why the car companies still using air conditioning compressors and alternators attached to the gas motor, drawing performance and extra miles per gallon instead of using lithium ion batteries and solar panels beside other sources for auto recharge those batteries and give us a smarter car and more fuel efficient. The air conditioning could be all electric giving us more control over it.
Sometimes the Fiesta looks too small sometimes it looks to be a good size. Now if only the Fiesta came out in 2009 Id get that instead of the Focus since its not as expensive and more fuel efficient. Im doing good with the Focus but I think when the time comes to replace the Focus I may consider a Fiesta.
I'm kind of bummed that they replaced that cool vent in the front that separated the hood from the bumper with just a hole set in there, and that the sedan version has a grille that makes it look like a baby Ford Fusion, but it's still a pretty sight. It's way sleeker than the Fit that just looks like a tiny minivan, or the doughy Yaris, and doesn't have the goofy grin of the Mazda 2 or 3. I'm just hung up on whether I'd have the cheaper sedan or the sexier hatch.
I would absolutely LOVE to have this car as my daily commuter car. Ford is really getting their act together which is about damn time. Next car I buy will definitely be a Ford. The Fusion, Fiesta, and Mustang GT are very well appointed for their target markets. This and this is coming from a Honda guy whose owned 3!
it's a great car, but i see no purpose in having a sedan version. it takes all the practicality out of the car. if you wanted to make a cheap version, make one with a 1.4 liter engine or something to replace the sedan, it would retain its practicality and would be even more frugal.
@njbabii1991 ... are you kidding me? you're buying a car because you think it looks "cute"? so it doesn't matter to you that all the practicality has been thrown out the window (not to mention the sedan version of any car designed to be a hatchback eg. mazda 3, ford focus, etc looks like it lost its ass in surgery).
i dont know what you do for a living but i would leave are design to the people who do it for a living obviously they are doing something right i would not own this car in any version but some people like having 4 doors
@mikesbadazis all small sedans (jetta, fiesta, focus, etc) look wrong as a sedan compared to their hatchback counterparts. the fact is that the sedan body just doesn't suit these tiny cars, and the hatchback is more practical to begin with, so what's the point of having a less-practical, uglier version?
I have this car in Lime Squeeze.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!!

My question is will this replace the U.S. version Focus?
SvenX13 2 years ago
@SvenX13
No way. The Fiesta is always placed below the focus in every market where they coexist.

No, this will be offered along with a new US version of the Focus, which will be the new global version of the Focus.

Maybe theyre making a Sedan because Hatchbacks are ugly and not for girls. I am getting the Sedan because it's cute.

@coolerdude44 If you've ever had a hatch-back, you might not want one. I won't ever buy a hatch again. I'd consider buying a Fiesta sedan though.
