It is a kind of thin kite string and for damping the last 30 cm is some kind of rubber what they call here in Dutch "hoedenelastiek", litteraly "hatrubberband". It is a thin rubberstring with some texture around it. Rubber might break after a while, this doesn't. There is a special knot that doesn't slip out, in the form of an 8. In the celling are two rings where the string goes through and at the other end of the string a little weight that is just heavy enough to pull the string up.
Yes, I got this idea from a friend (YouTube ID: fhwarle) who hanged his Trex upside down in a tree. But don't give to much negative pitch, because it will fly into the tree.
It's kinda there to help him to not crash while learning the control backwards depending on where the nose is pointing.. Nice heli, I'm totally excited to get mine home soon too!
Well I was only joking about the string though.I`ve never seen anyone do that before, I think he is very clever too.I have a FF EP 100 too, but putting it together takes more time than I expected, so its grounded and now a walkera 52 is on its way so I can fly while I fix my firefox ep100

Yep... this is really clever.
I'm currently learning to fly my own long-blade EP 100 inverted, but it takes a little bit more space. Well... a football field is enough. Barely :)
