I have to say that these's flies are some of the most beautiful flies I have seen made that you have uploaded! Thanks you for taking the time to show us the beauty and art that is fly tying!
dear davie, I really like you're video's great work :) but i'm wondering where do you get you're materials? on a nearby shop or internet? thanks anyway! by the way this is what youtube is all about, good video's!
Most of the capes I have bought recently came from the Glasgow Angling Centre,Tackle and Tying on the internet and from Pat Nolan in Ireland. I am always looking out for a cape that's worth dying that colour that you can't buy in the shops.
I would like to thank you for your teaching techniques..My grandfather tied flys' most of his life.He fished on the Margaree River as well.He passed away 3 years now.I have enharated all of his fly tying equipment and supplies.I have never tied a fly in my life but.I have now. I love to watch your skills.Thank You,Ricky Zoellner P.S.I do know how to fly fish very well.Lots of BlueGill where I live.
My favourite way to fish is with dries but if I was using traditional flies like the Colonel Downman then the Bibio and Kate Mclaren would easily be top of the list.
Hey Davie, i love your videos. seems like a whole new dimension of fly tying! anyway i was wondering if you used real or imitation jungle cock in your flies. if real what kind of permit do you have to have (if any)?
The feathers I use are real, these capes come from a company called Fishermans Feathers that breed them here in the U.K which makes them legal. I'm sure there must be companies that buy them to sell in the U.S.A.

Hi Davie, would you tie a Whickham's Fancy wetfly? I use it a lot in Patagonia. Great caddis emerger imitation! Thanks in advance.

Without the red tail, the fly is like a Norwegian fly called "Isflua". Imitating a stonefly...
