Oddwarg, I hope you'll come out one day and explain the meaning behind the poem, otherwise people will think you pulled it out of your ass and made it seem deep when it really wasn't.

I love the game. A bit short, but great overall. I've always loved the idea behind Robotnik doing everything he can to kill Sonic. No colorful silly looking machinery, realistic shit like this that really makes it seem like Robotnik wants to kill Sonic in any way possible.

@CCrockyourass I realize the ending was meant to be a joke, but the way it's presented is too...serious. It's almost like you yourself are coming out of the closet with that scene, unless you're gay already.

One thing I think you could have improved was the lava section. I liked it fine, but it just went on and on, with no boss. You should have put a lava robot somewhere in there, like that section where Sonic is just sitting on the rock while the creepy music plays. Could've been like "Jaws".

@CCrockyourass The ending isn't really there because I thought everyone would find it funny; It's partially aimed at those who find it repulsive. Due to many questions about it I've already posted several (somewhat diverging) explanations of what I was trying to acheive around the internets.

The feedback on the lava level was generally positive enough so in the end I didn't do anything more with it. Your ideas are interesting though.

@CCrockyourass Yeah, I didn't mean to put everyone in those two categories, that would be silly. Still, I don't regret it even though many people don't like it.

I suppose I used "Eggman" because I don't really feel the need to resist this change. Could have gone with something like Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik Hates Anthropomorphic Animals but it doesn't quite have the same ring.

Aaand the motorcycle(the whole intro for that matter) is just for excessive dramatic effect.

@Oddwarg I always liked to think the motorcycle was because the race was on a huge hill with rain and wind, making it extremely muddy, so the motorbike could be a dirt bike and be the only way for Sonic to get up there. When he realized he couldn't use it anymore, he saw how close the emerald was, and ran desperately up the hill getting slowed down by erosion. That's why it looked like the emerald was running away from him, it was just Sonic stuck in mud.

There is a rough explanation on at least one of my forum topics, but the truth is I don't really want to put it in plain text. That's why I wrote it that way in the first place.

I'm a fan of designs that look more like prototypes than consumer models; I also like machines that use as much current-day technology as the functionality permits.

@Jaksin7038 If you're talking about the presentation screen then it changes randomly whenever you open the game. The particular one I think you're talking about is definitely a joke though.

I gave a rather thorough explanation of the ending in the GMC topic linked to in the description. The joke is that many people totally freak out even though half of all stories ever end like that.

@flamesnake330 The problem is not related to the resolution and frame rate, it has to do with directX drawing. If your drivers are updated then I do not think that there is any known fix.

@241rayman It's a legitimate question. I hadn't planned it from the start, but one thing led to another and I think they're a cute couple. It also helps make the game stand out from the crowd, and it's supposed to make people think about why they're so surprised. There's nothing wrong going on after all.

Still, in the end it is a tongue-in-cheek and some people really should calm down and laugh more.

Windows(XP or later)

2 GHz processor(# of cores will have little impact)

512MB RAM for XP, 1GB for later versions

Graphics card: Any ATI or NVIDIA card from this millenium will work, most Intel integrated cards from the last 5 years should be ok. The game will give you surface errors if your card is not good enough.

This is mostly guesswork so feel free to correct me or help me elaborate.
