DNB = 170-175 BPM Dubstep 140-145 BPM. Thats the only real difference. Its slower. Same elements same musical structure and drops.

@rossidnb That's why I say this can be both. It kinda floats between 150 to 175 ish. But mostly sits in 165-170 so it's closer to DnB for sure. But either way, it's good to see someone who knows kinda what they're talking about. a few other elements are that DnB is considered "cleaner" than Dub Step often (I have no idea why) and it originated solely as a drum beat with a base beat hence the name, where as Dub Step was a mixture of DnB and techno or trance. But now they are what they are now.
