  • this is what new generation gaming should be... imagine the possiblilties of millions and millions of "developers" instead of just the real developers... wow

  • Anyone know how to fix the steam error 16 glitch for the downloading of mods?

  • I cant find the creation kit anywhere :(

  • @TheRealGrazer46

look in your "tools" section in your steam library.

  • i have skyrim for the Xbox 360... now i have it for PC and Xbox 360...

  • This is the best thing. Especially for a game like skyrim. You don't see Halo doing this kind of stuff and that's my favorite game up there with Skyrim. Game studios can learn from this shared success that in return helps them make better games thanks devs.

  • get the finger out and get some great DLC out there, as in massive new areas, not just boring mods. thanks.

  • I see way too many flared comments. 0.o ???

Awesome game, definately superceeds Morrowind & Oblivion.

Creation Kit and Workshop makes installing mods easier, with all files in coupled BSA.

Creation kit looks to have more flexable than previous games` editors.

Nexus can DIAF, since I stopped wanting to visit there from their gradual downslide.

I can`t wait for their paid "good" DLC to releases, if money save me headaches so be it. :P

I will make mods to expand on things needing attention.

  • Can someone please PLEASE explain to me what in the hell-

"Failed to enumerate subscribed files" means and how to fix it or what in the hell is going on because I don't know and I feel really, really stupid and annoyed.

  • Finally a more powerfull tool to create our own worlds! I myself preffer Fallout series more, but I think ill buy Elder Scrolls just to learn a little with the new tool. As I make myself mostly large maps but have a problem with for example making NPC's, this seems to be the ideal tool to learn ahead for the next Fallout!

  • Hello Beth, Want to know if the Navmesh is working with esps now, in fallout 3 and fallout nv it kept bugging out and only worked in esms. If you could cover that in future videos that would be great. Thanks. :)

  • I love you.

  • Thanks for staying true to PC . You guys rock wish you were the creators of cod lol

  • @pup9et Then cod would have swords, magic, multiplayer(or not) and yelling... I'd buy it.

  • @MCPOSJ117films lol yup i refused to buy the last 2 cod's they ruin them.

  • @pup9et cod is stupid.

  • Bethesda oh Bethesda, you're one of the few companies out there who really gives us everything.

Thank you so much for supporting the modding community.

  • Looks fantastic

  • Its Bickering like These Comments that make me laugh when i go on youtube =)

  • Fuck you faggots for not putting the command console on the Xbox 360 version.

  • @MyNameIsYourDaddy

    haha, consolefag ;D

  • @EmperorBubba

lol loser faggot who spends all his time upgrading his computer

  • @69MrNiceGuy69

couldn't possibly be further from the truth, I just buy a powerfull machine from the getgo and leave it at that. I don't give a shit about upgrading it, I have better things to do, like your mom, heeeeeyoooooooooo.

  • @MyNameIsYourDaddy Only 13 year olds and faggots would own a xbox 360.

  • @MyNameIsYourDaddy It would just lag if they did it because then will someone just spawn many NPC and it will crash and lag and then MS and Sony would be angry about they consoles lag!

  • @MyNameIsYourDaddy Fuck you faggot for not having an adequate pc! Bitch!

  • @MyNameIsYourDaddy Fuck you and die, please!

  • @MarsScorpius Witcher 2 does look awesome planning on getting it. And vanilla skyrim is worth playing over most of the 2011 games released with its long gamel;ay sure alot of the radiant quest are the same "kill this giant here" not long after "kill him agian" but it all depends on the person playing. Tha main thing i dislike is it seems to lack enemies if there is a graph chart of what i killed in it then youll be seeing alot of bears, wolves and bandit that dont upgrade armour.

  • wow i am new to pc gaming and cant install big mc mods so this will be great :)

  • @MarsScorpius I bought skyrim and its great without mods. if you think the console versions are crap because they cant get mods then you dont like skyrim for what it is.

  • while yea are all kissing bethsofts ass for this delayed tool, dont forget trottlekitty and the other makers of nifskope. Without them we would have even crappier mods than exists at present.

When is a official Nif file editor going to be released?

  • This seems like a major blow to the Nexus.

  • @spartan117halofreak no. people will run into nexus everytime

  • im going to make a big arrow, then put it in my knee

  • So pirated copies can have mods? Lame..

  • But will it have nude mods.

  • @MephistoXIV Duh.

  • @MarsScorpius So you're saying that the game sucks without mods? I liked it IMO

  • Thats why Bethesda deserves ppl to legally buy there games. Totally mods support! and a great Editor-tool. YAY!!! Bethesda FTW!

  • Nexus sucks they're totally obsessed with rules and banning.

  • i wish i had a better pc

  • Any particular reason they decided to compete with the nexus?

  • @Rabidazell I read on their blog that there still 100% supportive of nexus, its not like you HAVE to use this but its a alternative still

  • @Rabidazell dont think they're trying to wipe out nexus as that will NEVER happen, its more likely to automate everything

  • Comment removed

  • @Rabidazell hahaha that made me lol

    they support nexus, kinda...

and CK will surely make many mod possibilities

  • @Rabidazell They're not competing.. they're making sharing mods easier. There is no reason you can't still use TESNexus.

  • @Rabidazell it's to expose people to more mods. Nexus isn't the only modding site for skyrim, and steam workshop is the official place to get your mods, and everyone that plays skyrim will know about it because it's on steam. Also, think if something like SOPA or ACTA passes, and all those sites get shut down. Instead of having no place to get mods, we'll always have steam workshop.

  • There is something i don't get, what if your mod uses custom textures/meshes/sound...will steam detect them, and put them on the right folders somehow?

Also, what about conflicts between mods,i don't think steam can solve that either.I think the workshop will only be used for the more "simple" mods, but i might be wrong.

  • @PaladinCarnage You upload your mod to steam if you choose to or you can add your mod to the game normally...and the mods are only detected by steam unless you use them when your playing. The Creation kit puts them in the correct folder not steam. Conflicts between mods are up to you to deal with, not them...they don't care if you custom weapon doesn't work with your Spell mod or a mod someone else created.

  • @WoWLord101 Indeed, one more thing that got me "concerned" is this: with the workshop, many people that never used a mod before, will start to show interest in it(or so i presume),and when they install a bunch of mods with little knowledge on how they work and it makes their game stop working, they will probably blame Bethesda or the one who created the mod for it instead of themselves, hurting the reputation of modding in the Elder Scrolls, which would be the contrary of what Beth wants.

  • @PaladinCarnage Also,my apologies if something was difficult to understand, didn't have enough characters in that post xD

  • @PaladinCarnage Not every mod is going to be absolutely 100% compatible, if its a CK problem then yes blame Beth obviously, but most likely it would be the mod that the "modders" make that roots to the problem. I'm my experience I have only had a few problems with mod capability with other mods mainly mods that serve the same purpose, or do the same thing basically. and a little side note, your game will still work you can always activate and de-activate your mods as you please.

  • @MarsScorpius No, if you bought the console version of Skyrim, you bought a fuckin sick game but can't do as much with it. A game isn't shit just because you can't mod it on a console.

  • @Chizlett94 Console version sucks compared to the PC version...I see no reason to play this amazing game on a console!!

  • @WoWLord101 Ok but not everyone has a good enough PC to run big games like Skyrim. That's why people play it on consoles.

  • Should of watched the whole video

  • @wolfpressedent

    >should of

  • Comment removed

  • Fuck. Now I need to get it on my PC too

  • @AbysmalPie You won't regret it!

  • JUST GIVE ME IT ALREADY YOU AWESOME PEOPLE

  • i dont like single player roleplay games but thanks alot for supporting the PC to the max

  • @MarsScorpius I didnt.

  • Bethesda game studios: oh yeah, we just casually wrote a new scripting language.

  • @dcmihatepie Why are you complaining chances are the new scripting language is probably easier to develop with.

  • @OutcastChad i wasn't complaining, i'm just bloody impressed.

  • @dcmihatepie Not exactly impressive...

  • Great, so to use this I have to update my Skyrim, and loose the ini tweaks like much higher resolution shadows, and object self shadowing which makes such a huge difference. God I hate steam.

  • @Swidhelm just save your ini and paste it

  • @d2344c I've tried that. It just resets.

  • @Swidhelm Just save up those tweaks and put them back again.

  • @DIBandage I'll try again. But usually what happens is once in game the default settings are used.

  • @DIBandage Actually I think I'm going to try and make the ini's read only.

  • @Swidhelm That should do the trick. I believe my buddy did the same while doing the same thing like you, and succeed at it.

  • I bought the game for this!

  • This is gona kill nexus

  • @adsrt100

good maybe it will teach those power hungry mods a lesson then as they keep on deleting original mods claiming 'it is stolen work from another modder' when there is no record of it existing before...

  • @adsrt100 I doubt it.

  • Nailed "It"

  • Rainbow Puke

  • Thank you Bethesda for continuing to support your modding community. There are fewer and fewer studios who allow players to mod their games, and better yet, you continue to give us these tools for free. So thank you.

  • People who make mods can do things that Bethesda is not able to do, like a good graphic or no bugs...

I can't believe it won the price for the best SH in the place of Rocksteady

  • This is what will make Skyrim worth 59.99. Right now, you have a busted game with hit and miss broken quest. I can't wait Bethesda for this Creation Kit!

  • They can do all of this, but they can't make it multi player?

  • @franzyland NO they can't make it multiplayer!. That is not the point of the Elder Scrolls game, it is not a MMO, it's an RPG. Elder Scrolls will never be multiplayer, and if that is a breaking point for you, then this series is not for you.

  • @franzyland MP mod incoming

    Frankly TES doesn't need MP

  • Thank you Bethesda for coming through for us PC gamers. It is because of mods that I migrated from 20+ years of console gaming to PC. A company that respects its customers is worth so much in this day and age.

  • I can't believe they had a pic of the macho man randy savage dragon mod on there. wtf!

  • mmm well I think Bethesda should partner with SkyrimNexus and just add all the existing mods to steam works. That would be awesome.

  • Awesome! But the steam workshop is bullshit.

  • god damn you warlocks at Bethesda i given you my life and yet you still want more!

  • WHY MUST YOU TALK SO FAST

  • what if we DON?T want to update our mods automatically? I hope that's an option.

  • "cabbbage cannon" lol

  • Insane how much people have done WITHOUT the creation kit. Now imagine them WITH the creation kit. Holy fuck balls :D

  • DICE.....You know what to do.

  • RIP Skyrim Nexus

  • @mozart116

    NEVER !

  • You give us a garbage console port with a garbage console UI.

And now this? You guys have completely and utterly restored my faith in you.

    <3 Bethesda.

  • @JorawarU But the Pc version was a port from the 360.

  • @adampower4 Your Joking Right TES on of the best selling PC Franchise's, ever Since Arena. It is not a port, it was a multi-platform release Just like Oblivion and Morrowind.

  • @NsaneCookies Haha "It's not a port" Seriously? go look in the INIs and tell me that again.. Better yet go look at the coding and tell me this game isn't a port.. Don't talk about shit you don't know about.

  • @larlar752000 Apparently some people don't what a port means "The term "a port of a game" means a game was developed for one set of platforms, and it was later released for other platforms." So what was that again you said.

  • @NsaneCookies Yea this game was first made on the 360 and then ported to the PC using the 360s version.. Try again. (and yes it was also made on the PS3 but the PC uses the 360 version)

  • @larlar752000 .... Ya sure we will go with that not that all versions were released on the same day, or is it the fact that they are using a console UI, or are you like 80% of the people on the internet who will stick to there logic even if they are proven wrong, to be honest I hope you are not. They made Skyrim in mind for Console FOR the Console versions and PC version for PC, which it is why it is a Multi-Platform Release not a port.

  • @NsaneCookies If you honestly think that this game isn't a console port than you really really need to brush up on your gaming history. ALL of Bethesdas games are console ports! You can clearly see this inside the coding itself and how it isn't nearly as optimized for the PC hardware but more for the 360s. I bet you think just because a game releases for all 3 platforms it's not a console port.. Oh wait...

  • @larlar752000 All of Bethesdas Games Console Ports .... <_< Yes Cause The Elder Scrolls: Arena was on Sega Saturn and The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall Was on the Nintendo 64 it all adds up doesn't it. I need to brush up on my gaming history, Boy go sit in the corner. I can go on if you want.

  • @NsaneCookies while he is being an idiot by saying all... Skyrim was definitely a console port, oblivion was co-developed for both, and morrowind was centralized for PC.

  • @xixJackxix Well looks like I am somewhat wrong, however PC version is different to the 360 version so it is not a direct port more or less. I am just glad someone here isn't completely retarded.

  • @NsaneCookies I wasn't talking about the console exclusives it self... I was talking about the PC and console games, meaning Oblivion, Fallout, BRINK, and Skyrim.

Go ask them yourself if you don't believe me. Oh and 'boy' don't EVER call someone a boy on the internet because you're just going to look like a little teenage kid thinking he's older than someone, and judging by your profile it says you're 20 which makes you way younger than me 'boy'.

  • @larlar752000 First paragraph fine i understand, second paragraph screams someone who really needs a chill pill, was calling you a kid, was saying you are acting a bit like one, this is what is wrong with FPS players they don't know when to chill out and big whoop your five years older than me, do you want a cookie? I admit that a was wrong with some of my statements it is true, however can you do the same.

  • @NsaneCookies Let me guess.. You look at my video and assume I'm an FPS player and only an FPS player? I started out on action role-playing games (ie. Deus Ex) and while I did move on to other games that were mostly FPS like I.G.I, Delta Force, and Half Life. I also grew up on Spyro, Tomb Raider, Ace Combat, etc... I've played a wide array of games since my father was a gamer himself; in the whole Voodoo 3d era and start of the console era. BTW DE:HR should've gotten GOTY not this.

  • @NsaneCookies But just so you know I was setting a point saying Skyrim is not the famed PC made game that everyone thinks it is.. It's the same as Oblivion and it's no where near as good as Morrowind. I and many others got bored of the same old "fetch this and come back to me" gameplay with no good reward other than "here's alittle gold and a semi-decent weapon/piece of armor" which in all honesty is old after the 40th time.

WTB something like Shivering Isles again AKA real TES.

  • @larlar752000

    Should go crafting bro.

  • @adampower4 That's what I said... ?

  • Awesome, this is what I always wanted... wait a second, I play PS3. Damn it!

  • I'm still sceptical about the whole steam thing. I don't like relying on steam more than I absolutely need to. It sounds cool to install mods with no hassle whatsoever, but I'm still not sure I trust steam that far. The forced steam binding of the game .exe was already something I absolutely hate, why would I want even more steam interaction?

  • Need Xbox360 version

  • @AsAboveSoBelow01 See, that's why you just don't play an Elder scrolls game on consoles. You get mods on PC only. Which means it's your own fault if you bought the Xbox version ...

  • Steam Wankshop is keeping this thing from getting released. Steam sucks!

  • I can die in peace now.

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    That is all.

  • PC Master Race! \o

  • Steam workshop! PC gaming = :)

  • I'm nauseous, I'm nauseous, I'm nauseous. Awesome!

  • time to add knee arrows to all armor

  • I love SKyrim and Battlefield 3 but Bethesda is much better than DICE for creating mod tools. In yo face DICE!

  • Thank you for the beautifull game Bethesda!!

  • Oh, yes! Tha't amazing! Thank you very much Bethesda!!! Can't say how much I love Skyrim!!!

  • WUT

  • The new scripting language papyrus sounds intriguing. Could it could be like the more versatile scripting languages. The scene manager looks great too, like the event controllers I've seen in the Blender GE. Hope we can fix the pathing AI nodes or whatever the new system is. Pathing over rocks and cliffs, anyone? Can't wait any longer Beth... unleash.

  • Who paused to read all the funny titles for mods in the steam workshop?

I saw Macho Dragons and Enhanced Puffins.

  • @rankaratar Those are real mods, just waiting for you to download them.

    Oh dem macho dragons.

  • Knowing Bethesda, this is going to go horribly wrong. I see mod a lot of mod conflicts and broken games in the near future.

  • thats fuckin awesome. good job Bethesda.

  • It's so... Beautiful!

  • SteamWorkshop but no SteamCloud? why would I want mods to automatically sync unless my saves sync'd too?

  • one of the mods:

    Lydias wedding ????@?@?@?2

  • *Puking rainbows*

  • "Realistic Khajiit Hairballs"

That mod sounds like a MUST HAVE!!!111!!

  • aaaaaand there goes my life...

  • One of the mods: Cabbage Cannon... Hmmmmmm! :P

  • "Why aren't you playing skyrim? Why are you watching MEEEEE?"

  • hell YES i love you guys

  • and this is why pc is better

  • Awesome, and thank you Bethesda for being one of the few developers that still support the PC gamer. Now it's time to get to work making mods.

  • hehe nhaice

  • In the new Fallout game, you guys must add CO-OP.

  • Gud.

  • This is really awesome.

I'm glad steam is now able to host mods as, although I'll mess around with the creation kit, I will ultimately rely on the people who actually know what they are doing for my mods. I feel the quality of tes.nexus has fallen a little and so I'm interested to see how steam workshop will turn out! :)

  • Bethesda, Let me be one of the few to say: Thank you very much! You have created one of the best games of all times and now, it will even be better with the awesome creation kit you have built for the pc gamers. You have once again showed great support and interest in the PC gaming community and for that, I, we all really appreciate it. Thank you! <3

  • @Cbham100 what? have you even played morrowind, skyrim was amongst the worst elder scrolls, its not a bad game though, just to simple for older players , the ideal for new players....wich is somehow bad for players like me... i would love a morrowind remake. because seriously, before all that hype i've had, im kind of afraid of what they'ill throw on us when elder scrolls 6 is announced...

  • @dfghj241 Morrowind remake?

    1. Download mods for Morrowind

    2. Install mods for Morrowind

    3. Play Morrowind

    4. ???

    5. Profit

    No remake necessary.

  • @Supernastypants lol i play morrowind, i dont need mods to play morrowind, im just saying that a morrowind remake would have been better than skyrim, but im not talking morrowind in the sense of landscape, skyrim world is amazing as it is, but gameplaywise, i just cannot believe that skyrim is the direction bethesda is folowing for elder scrolls.. is just to bad to believe....

  • @dfghj241 Morrowind's overall atmosphere is my favorite. But, Skyrim among the worst? That's laughable. I loved the feeling of being all alone in Morrowind and the great story line and unique towns. The difficulty was awesome too. That's it though. Skyrim is the bee's knees! Get with it! JK. But really.

  • @roidz17 well. look, there is only 5 elder scrolls(not counting battlespire and redguard) if daggerfall and arena never are compared with the others.. for being a pseudo 3d style and stuff, so we are only left with 3 elder scrolls to compare: morrowind, oblivion, and skyrim, if oblivion is judged by all as the worst elder scrolls betwen these 3, and morrowind would be the first place, then it is a healthy segund place, so it is amongst the worsts and amongts the bests.. you decide...=P

  • @dfghj241 SKYRIM BEST! YAAAY!

  • @Cbham100 you ignorant blind moron. you know fucking nothing.

  • @Renax111 A very convincing and inspiring way to share your opinion!!

  • @Cbham100 best games of all times? You dont play alot of games, do you?

  • 12th!!! :p

  • Bethesda, why you so cool?

  • Finally

  • Same old interface. But looks good!

  • This preview is rated M - Mature? :P Why?

    Can't wait to start modding!

  • @TheThomQ NUDE MODS
