where the sticks that you used in the starting the "Zildjian Purple DIP Drumsticks" cause i,v been wanting to get new drum sticks but i want to get good ones, so i'm thinking of either getting the "Zildjian Purple DIP Drumsticks" or the "Zildjian Travis Barker Signature Drumsticks" do you have an opinion?
Well i actually used some vic firth marching snare sticks in the beginning, and then switched to promark oakwood 5B. I've tried the Travis Barker signature sticks, and i think that they have a sort of give to them when slamming cymbals which felt great drumming with for about 2 weeks... Then after constant pounding the sticks broke :(. So i would recommend the promark 5B oakwood as my stick of choice. Lasts long too.
Not when you have kids that sit down and bust out their favorite Joey Jordison musical abortions as fast as possible with their friends that learn guitar by just playing random garbage in seventeen different key sigs a measure because they don't understand what notes even are. Try being in the midst of eight or nine examples of what I just said, and being a progressive group. Nobody gives a shit about you in that scenario.
