A better way is to find a water bottle with a screw top. Pour in the wine til it reaches the top. Tighten the lid and voila. Because of the decreased volume of the container there's less air and thus, no oxidiation.
YO this girl sold stop giving bad advise about wine... if you cant finish a bottle of wine just bring a friend over or something or just pop in the cork and drink it the following day!!
If you aren't going to drink it for a few weeks I guess maybe putting it in the fridge is smart, but when I buy a bottle of wine, it gets drank that day or the next, so any oxidization when it's on the counter with the cork in it is minimal, and what little occurs probably helps the taste, you're supposed to let wine breathe a little.
I was gonna refrigerate my wine, but then i took an arrow to the knee.

Leave red wine out. Put a cork in the bottle and just leave it on the table. The only red wine that you should put in the the fridge is Franzia

No. Leave it in the fridge when your not drinking it becuase the fridge slows down the oxidizing of the wine.
Of course, when you want to drink it, let it return to room temperature.

I didn't know you had to refrigerate, since it's a fermented product, the yeast don't mind room temperature.

I had no preconceived notion against keeping it in the fridge. why would anyone think that was a bad idea...
