  • Accidentally removed nice comment: GGBundy has made a comment on Hiroshima Japan WWII after Atom Bomb Aerial Photos:

Great Video!! The utter devastation is remarkable. The gentleman in this video caught a historical moment in time and preserved it!! Thanks!!

  • @imbaluris Thank you for commenting. Unfortunately there are people on YouTube who pick things like Hiroshima videos, and go all over YouTube making horrible comments on every single video. Another example is @MrAtomicdude who called my father a "boring fart". Wonder what @MrAtomicdude is/was doing at age 23/24? But he has made terrible comments on the Japanese being rounded up in the US, and other Hiroshima videos. Guess he has lots of time on his hands...

  • after we dropped the atom bomb we actualy felt bad some were saying they wished they never dropped the bomb while the others are saying its the only way to stop the war

  • this is a video by "free photoshop lessons". really? faking a picture of Hiroshima. talk about trying to getting attention. remove this abomination from youtube. if you think this is real examine around 1:18 and tell me how "ground zero" can still be level upon which a nuclear bomb was detonated. dropping a rock from a tree makes an impression in the ground. the bridge to the left looks like i could drive a freakin prius over it just fine hmmm... this is a disgrace to such a tragic event.

  • @LocalStrongMan THIS IS WHY I AM NO LONGER ACCEPTING COMMENTS. I get SO MANY of these really strange comments (OK, I'm being nice by describing the above rant as "strange"). Also, I have explained that this started out as a photoshop tutorial site and then changed into something else. Everyone who has a YouTube channel knows you can't change your channel name and bring your videos with you without losing views, comments, etc.... So please, don't make me read nonsense like this.

  • @LocalStrongMan One more thing. These photographs came from original color negatives of my father's. ORIGINAL. I have them and a 100s more. He was a combat photographer so I have a treasure trove of photographs documenting WWII. Nothing is faked using Photoshop - I mean are you for real? Do yourself a favor and educate yourself by looking at all the other amazing Hiroshima videos to see closeup damage from the bomb on what remained and what did not.

  • @LocalStrongMan Dude its not fake - I've been to Hiroshima twice and the Peace Memorial has plenty of photos of the damage and this is EXACTLY how it looked!

[Also - The bomb didnt hit the ground - it detonated 600 feet in the air.]

  • @BiggerThinking1 Thank you for replying. You should see the comments I get about this video. UNREAL. Also, my father CLEARLY states it was taken about 3 months later - thus some of the green.

  • @BiggerThinking1

i was going to inform localstrongman that the bomb never hit the ground also until i scrolled down and noticed that you already did so.. way to know the facts. such devastation

  • @MrSnipes206 I'm not sure @localstrongman wants to know the facts. Thank you for taking the time to comment.

  • COMMENT SECTION CLOSED. FOR REAL. Not going to let the trolls comment anymore (most of their comments have been removed) because some people just want to rant and rave to get attention, and not add anything meaningful.

  • AS A TURK I JUST WANT TO SAY I PRAY MANKIND NEVER REPEAT THIS TRADEGY AGAIN

  • Absolutely devastating, what this was in 1946, to what it is now.

  • And the ones now are so much more powerful. I hope we never know how much more.

  • @RedJoe10 : it was estimated that the hiroshima one was 8kt, but actually 15kt

now most countries can deliver an estimated upto 500kt,

sorry for ruining your day though

  • The devestation? What devestation? It looks like any other ariel view of the earth that I've ever seen.

  • @stuckinthecities Really? I tried to zoom in as much as I could on my father's photo but if you look closely there is NOTHING there. NOTHING. This was a HUGE CITY. It is now flattened. This is not like any aerial view I have ever seen of an occupied major city. This close to the ground. Ever. This is why the comments section is closed, but really, I had to answer this one.

  • Have had some great thoughtful comments, but look at post below. I'm not posting anymore comments. The few, the ignorant, and the trolls ruin it for everyone.

  • I am going to close this video comment section down. Some people made very thoughtful comments but others were trying to post really disturbing and horrible comments that have nothing to do with this video. They were made to provoke and upset people and out of respect for my father and others, I won't allow it like others do on their videos.

  • i hope there isn't another World War

  • i hope there isn't another World War, or else.......

  • it was that or kill 500,000 american soldiers through invasion

  • @CrazyCornhuskerFan And my father's Signal Corps 168th Photo Company would have been in the first wave to hit the Japanese mainland, so he had many mixed feelings about what happened.

  • @CrazyCornhuskerFan

says who? Your propaganda ministry? killing innocent civilians can not be justified! dropping those bombs was a crime against humanity. Just like the bombardment of Dresden, Germany in 1945.

  • @heinixxx And this debate will go on and on and on. That I think we can both agree on.

  • verysad indeed.....

  • It's very sad what we do to each other ...
