I believe the world was made in a certain way and we were made to live out that role God intended us to live. But when Eve ate the apple she gave humanity free will allowing us to choose to do something or not to do something. I am straight, and I am catholic, but I do believe that we cannot follow the bible word for word. It makes no sense to do so. The Bible was created thousands of years ago.
They used to send people with diseases away with a bell attached around their necks. Why? Because they didn't have medicine to cure them, and they didn't want others to get sick as well. So, obviously, the Bible was meant for those times and wasn't always right.

@cherrybombgal Thank you! But I don't necessarily think being gay is a choice, I do think its a hormonal imbalance while in the womb. But I think acting as a gay is a choice. I know a gay guy that chooses not to act as one, who follows Christ. Just like an obese guy was more attracted to food than maybe his sister. It was something that happened in the womb, but he can choose to control himself around food. Sin is all about self control. (I hope I'm thinking right on that, lol)
