Gurren from TTGL would probably win. Spiral Power = Regenerative ability, Unpredictability ability, You really can't lose with Spiral Power on your side ability, And assuming Kamina is piloting Gurren, the manliness involved would cause the universe to collapse. And Gurren Lagann rapes. Period. FUCK YOU I THOUGHT THIS HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH TTGL.

The two mechs are very close in level at this point. In R2 the gurren is the superior mech but the lancelot (suzaku) is the superior pilot. Some argue that its just the geass but in reality suzaku is a far better pilot. The geass can only do so much, but suzaku at a complete disadvantage, (The gurren is about 70% stronger then the lancelot) Made it a draw.

mmm....most of the Gunmen in Gurren Lagann would be torn apart by the more powerful Nightmare models. The Gunmen were built mostly for close-combat encounters, while most of the nightmares were long-range fighters. And when they DID get up close, their weapons were, with a few exceptions alot more powerful than the Gunmen.

On the other hand, Spiral Power gave the Gunmen a boost in all attributes and repaired the mechs until after the fight was over- something the Nightmares could not do.

The gurren laggan would get raped it doesn't have anywhere close to the manuvrability that the lancalot has two swords and a rifle that can take down whole battalions the tureen laggan wouldn't even live for a minute

Lancelot has manueverability but Gurren Lagann has power. If Lancelot gets hit once its pretty much over. The best way to sum it up is in fighting game terms.

Lancelot is the character that is super fast but can get knocked around easily

Gurren Lagann is the character that can take a crap load of damage and dish out alot of damage.

Gurren from gurren alone would be crushed by Code Geass' Gurren but Tenngen toppa gurren laggan or may just gurren lagann alone can crush code geass' gurred :D

Gurren was a superior machine no doubt. As for their piloting abilties, I would say they were roughly equal with maybe a slight edge to Suzaku. Hence the reason he was able to push the Gurren back as effectively as he did. There are arguments based on how later fights go but I will avoid those to prevent going into spoiler territory.

Alright, my friend pointed me to this video and how everyone was saying Guren and Kallen are better, so for this one video, I'm gonna be an argumentive retard and prove, once and for all, that Suzaku and the Lancelot are at least equal, if not superior, to Kallen and the Guren. So, who wants to start me off?

This fight shows the imporovement of Gundam to Nightmare Frames. Even if Herro used his Wing Zero Gundam (from Endless Waltz), he couldn't beat a custom Nightmare Frame. His suit was made to overpower using ranged weaponry. It seems like the Lance was created using Wing Gundam and then Albian using Wing Zero Gundam. I think Suzaku would win on land purely based on the fact that he doesn't need his mech to run, he has wheels. But don't get me wrong, Gundam Wing still kicks ass.

You, uh, do know that any mobile suit easily dwarfs any given Knightmare? Their weapons, no matter how advanced, would do jack, especially to a Wing Gundam, since they could only finally be destroyed by -sending them into the sun-.

@kbahrt In Gundam Wing, Gundanium was impervious to bullets or solid weapons, but not completely impervious to beam weapons.

Of course, any Gundam from any Gundam series, aside from maybe the 08th MS Team, could dwarf a Knightmare. For one thing Gundams are bigger, and more heavily armed. But that's not the point, the point is that Knightmares are more realistic, they're more like bi-pedal tanks, ex. Metal Gear, than full-blown Mecha. The usage is different. Unless you go by R2.

That's about the size of a Knightmare.

Then again, Knightmare's don't have the Buster Rifle.

And beam weapons in general would just destroy a Knightmare.

But Knightmares are more practical.

The Guren had the total advantage. Suzaku didn't have the Live On Geass on him. And the Guren's arm would disable any weapons that the Lancelot uses (as it showed her blocking the energy bullet at point blank range). If there was no cliff, Suzaku would have died or at least lost most of his mech.

I'm watching it on Adult Swim and this episode was so cool. The Mk-II can totally beat the Lancelot up close, but I think it needs at least some long-range weapon. .__.
