Nope. I didn't even know upgrades for WMM even existed.

It's very easy; all it is is slowing down a piece of footage of a character with their mouth shut and using it whenever there's silence on the audio track. Throwing any old lip flaps over the audio almost always synchs up, surprisingly.

You simply mask out the mouth form and put it on top of the original footage. While doing that, you ensure that mouth opens at the right timing.
