Wow, I was expecting the younger Ed Norton from Am. His. X. He looks so different, but nonetheless he is an excellent actor. To top it off, he is in a film with De Niro...amazing!!! I have to see.

Edward Norton is the best actor of his age.....just missing Robert Downey JR......johnny Depp is great too...but chooses only wierdos to play...aside from a few horrid ones like Astronauts Life and Nick of Time....Norton reminds me in this roll of how good he was is American History X....playing the opposite type of roll....they ...along with De Niro have a great talent for losing or gaining weight to play a roll.

@noveltyme I agree with much of this, but you need to put Christian Bale in ifyou want to talk about losing or gaining weight for a roll. He went down to 120 pounds for the Machinist, and I also have to say his performance in that was outstanding. He also lost a nice chunk for the new film The Fighter. He seems to be an extremely dedicated actor.
@Vorail I loved the machinist.....he went down to 120 and up to 220 for Batman in like 9 mos. In this I agree but I dont think he a brilliant actor....seems to always have that scowl. He is still one of my favorites though...and look forward to the Fighter....he is deffinitely dedicated to his profession. Thanks for the heads up.
@noveltyme He does have that scow, but I have always thought of him to be brilliant. American Psycho, Rescue Dawn (Another film he lost a ton of weight for), Empire Of The Sun were all outstanding. I also loved him in 3:10 to Yuma and Public Enemies. He also played Bruce Wayne very convincingly and he really adds a great dynamic as Batman himself.
On a note about this film though, I'm very interested in it. Norton and De Niro look on top of their game, and Milla is gorgeous.
@Vorail The way Christian bale talks is... His half down-syndrome speak completely turns me off from his acting, but his acting is hardly A material either. You just can't compare him to any great actors. Deniro isn't a great actor either, he has amazing movies, and he's a great actor in some of them, but in most he looks plastic and bores.

Wow, I was expecting the younger Ed Norton from Am. His. X. He looks so different, but nonetheless he is an excellent actor. To top it off, he is in a film with De Niro...amazing!!! I have to see.

Edward Norton is the best actor of his age.....just missing Robert Downey JR......johnny Depp is great too...but chooses only wierdos to play...aside from a few horrid ones like Astronauts Life and Nick of Time....Norton reminds me in this roll of how good he was is American History X....playing the opposite type of roll....they ...along with De Niro have a great talent for losing or gaining weight to play a roll.

@noveltyme I agree with much of this, but you need to put Christian Bale in ifyou want to talk about losing or gaining weight for a roll. He went down to 120 pounds for the Machinist, and I also have to say his performance in that was outstanding. He also lost a nice chunk for the new film The Fighter. He seems to be an extremely dedicated actor.

@Vorail I loved the machinist.....he went down to 120 and up to 220 for Batman in like 9 mos. In this I agree but I dont think he a brilliant actor....seems to always have that scowl. He is still one of my favorites though...and look forward to the Fighter....he is deffinitely dedicated to his profession. Thanks for the heads up.

@noveltyme He does have that scow, but I have always thought of him to be brilliant. American Psycho, Rescue Dawn (Another film he lost a ton of weight for), Empire Of The Sun were all outstanding. I also loved him in 3:10 to Yuma and Public Enemies. He also played Bruce Wayne very convincingly and he really adds a great dynamic as Batman himself.
On a note about this film though, I'm very interested in it. Norton and De Niro look on top of their game, and Milla is gorgeous.

@Vorail The way Christian bale talks is... His half down-syndrome speak completely turns me off from his acting, but his acting is hardly A material either. You just can't compare him to any great actors. Deniro isn't a great actor either, he has amazing movies, and he's a great actor in some of them, but in most he looks plastic and bores.

@TheMarioDante I agree that he's an INTP. I happen to be one myself and it's a lot easier to express thoughts in writing. Also, he looked baked and I know he's said that he isn't a high functioning smoker like Woody Harrelson.

i dont see any value in focusing in this report about how some actors feel towards working with who is meant to be a heavenly figure in the work of acting. DeNiro isa good actor, yes. but steering the whole debate towards the one issue of salvation: so did you get a hard on working with Actor X? boils it down to insult to the viewers' intelligence. you better shape up

@ksouhail I totally agree with you. Not only is it offensive to the veiwers, but to the actors being interviewed as well. Edward Norton and Frances Conroy are great actors in their own right. It seems like a waste of an interview question to ask them what it was like to work with Robert DeNiro.
