@lynzi83 Simple. Connect your ipod via USB port, and ensure that the ipod is your destination folder. Everything else is the same as shown in this video.
Do note however, you're simply using your ipod as a memory stick here. The application won't work ON your ipod; you need to connect to a computer and run the application from the ipod as though it were a flash drive/memory stick.
@Aeroman1300 As far as I know they are the same. I haven't noticed any differences and I use both regularly. However, I'm not a developer so I could be wrong.
@molliebabs The same way you add fonts etc to regular gimp...if you look in the portable gimp folder you should be able to find the scripts, fonts, themes etc folders...just drop your add ons in the appropriate folders and they load up next time you use gimp.
Thank you for having a video about this. I actually the advice and installed Gimp Portable onto my iPod. I used it today when I went to walmart to print out a photo. Kodak photo kiosks don't support PNG. I was able to use a display laptop long enough to convert the format and save it. I wouldn't have been able to do this without knowing about Gimp Portable. Thank you.
Thanks for the video, this is probably something I will not use but it is good to see it is available.
Sure this video could have been made in thirty seconds for us nerds but for the semi-nerds it is good to see a tutorial that showed the steps and demonstrated how simple it is to do. The semi-nerds will say "I can do that, looks easy!". The full-fledged nerds will quickly copy the url and do their nerdy things. Thanks again for the video, keep up the good work!
Ok, seriously, dude? Did you just make a video to teach people how to search the internet, download files and install windows programs? that's all fine and dandy but people who are so computer ignorant that they don't know how to do these things have no business using graphics editing software. This video could have been under 30 sec long "Hey guys! There's a gimp installation you can run off your flash drive. Link in the sidebar."
2) If you saw the video, you know the answer. Did you just comment on a video?
3) 'people who are so computer ignorant that they don't know how to do these things have no business using graphics editing software.' According to who?
4) 'This video could have been under 30 sec ...' You're new here, aren't you? No video I make could ever be under 5 mins, let alone 30 seconds.
How do you put it onto ipod

Nice video.
Quick question. Does Gimp portable lack anything that the regular Gimp has, or are they the same?

Portable apps like this are also great for people who only have access to a computer at the library.
You can download the app to your flash drive at the library and save everything you need for use on any public computer.
Great tutorial, it's better to explain everything simply in a tutorial and let everyone benefit from it.
