  • p means pico

  • u means micro

  • correct tool bit, okay. WHICH IS IT bro? 3.8mm, 4.5mm or different? can u please tell me?

  • @92soothsayer

it is the 4.5mm bit for the systems. The 3.8 is used for NES, SNES, N64, Genesis games.

  • @masonsushi thanx bro. i appreciate it. i'm glad i ordered the bits from lukie games. they were i think $4 each, and u probly can get them cheaper -and i'm assuming u know this stuff since ur telling just wut bits to use on each component but i'm just sharing my ordering experience- but hey, if it's a business that keeps the retro stuff going and manufactures the stuff too, i say that deserves my money and should be kept alive.

the service seems pretty promising. i got my exact order in no time

  • @eSkilliam There actually exists a top loader NES with this built in when they manufactured it. They are just few and far between.

  • where do you get the av jacks?

  • @timmy332621

    radio shack

  • @masonsushi

damn it! why don't they have a radioshack in europe:(

  • @timmy332621 get the parts off of ebay, you can get like 100 resistors for a dollar, thats what i did.

  • This kind of modding is a little more than I'm willing to get into, but I understand the benefits of getting A/V out of the top-loading NES.

Though, I actualy heard recently that if you were to plug a non-av modded top loader through RF into a VCR, it would help clean up the signal issues commonly associated with the reason to mod the system. Kinda like a reverse RF modulator - rf to vcr then vcr composite out to tv or whatever other capture device or monitor you want to see the games on.

  • @Stinger2578

i have seen video's showing it. The problem I think a lot of people run into is having to the have that big vcr out on the shelf just for that one function.

  • @masonsushi it makes sense to do the mod, I just meant it's above the technical level I personally would go. I'm sure I would mess the whole system up, and top-loading NES systems are fairly expensive. I think it's great when people are able to do stuff like this, and provide technical details/videos helping others to do the same.

  • Awesome vid, I'm gonna do this once I get the parts.

  • @eSkilliam

I haven't ever seen that mod. I think it would be really difficult, because those ports are hardwired to the board. I guess you could steal it, but then you would have to figure out a way to secure it inside the toploader.

If you find a link showing it, could you talk about it in a video??

    Thanks.
