What does screamo even mean? There are way too many genres that have screaming vocals to classify them all as "screamo".

@markdashney The easiest way to explain scream to someone who doesn't have an ear for it is to just compare a couple bands. For instance compare a band like Alexisonfire and Metallica. They both have distorted guitars and screaming vocals. But do you honestly consider them to be the same genre? It takes time to really distinguish the sub genres in heavy music. I wouldn't umbrella a jazz band and a rock band under one genre just cause they both have electric guitars. You know?
