As a person interested in linguistics I can assure you that my facts are straight. The languages that you call "Persian" like Pashtu, Kurdish, Urdu, and Farsi as well as Sanskrit, Luri, Balochi, and other languages are actually called "Indo-Iranian languages" not "Persian" languages. The Farsi we speak today is called "New Persian". I can see where you confused Persian with Iranian, but technically Farsi is Persian and Persian is Farsi.
