  • i can so play this ;)

  • very good

  • hard play (orchestra and pianist)all are too young, few feel, but well, it´s a great begin

  • The pianist is good, but too young to understand this kind of music, which requires feelings, which you only know, if you know, what "the sense of the life" is. Sometimes too hard played, which isn't the lightness Mozart's.

The orchestra is playing too slowly... 3Points

  • well said!!

  • Heh, this is fun! Offcourse she doesnt have the same musical feelings and understanding like elders, but this is all kids. I suppose it is fun for them to play a piece like this. Impressive;)

  • Well, fun is one aspect, but when I compare it with my own past in playing piano, I can't agree with your opinion. When the pianist doesn't see the emotional sides of a song like this, the piano teacher have to teach it...

    Sy

  • again, very well said.

  • You are right offcource!I must agree!

I also must say that they are blessed that this can exist in their culture...I wish here in greece it was like this...little kids making ochestras like that, with an almost pro sound!

I study to be a director (maestro) and I pretty sure that it will be very hard to find a job here! They are blessed!

  • This is an impressive debut; pleasant to hear, thanks.

  • loved it!

  • I think People Tend to misunderstand...This isnt Mozarts Composition,Mozart Transcribed it.The first movement is based on a sonata movement by Hermann Friedrich Raupach for keyboard with violin accompaniment, from a set of six published in Paris in 1756.Piano Concertos 1-4 werent Originals. They were transcriptions.

  • Really enjoy the piece. I wrote a concerto here on Youtube but can only play it so well. Wish I had training. Keep it up!

  • umm...winds, intonation...

  • Very nicely done!!!! Always loved hearing the 1st of mostly every composers concerto. You are very talented indeed!!!!

  • We have a shortage of orchestral wind players here and if you see the condition of our wind players instruments you'll be amazed that they can still extract a sound from it. We have the youngest string section in the country. 13yo-early 20's. The problem with this orchestra is that the string players are so talented that we lose them every year. some are already studying in germany, newyork, others were pirated by higher paying orchestras.

  • I'm also a member of this orchestra. No excuses! We were terribly out of tune that night. that horn player was a last minute replacement. and our oboist was always sharp.

  • And why didn't you kicked them?

  • pianist is good but definitely not an aimi kobayashi.

  • mozart our most famous musician. nice play ;-)

  • Does anyone know what website I can get the sheet music for this?

  • You're right, the orchestra sounds a bit out of tune throughout.

Still it's okay for a youth group.

  • yeah, I agree that the orchestra isn't up to par with her. But amazing job as usual, Hannnah!

  • that's really cute...the only way to perfection is an early start and plenty of practice for sure ;)

  • Oo c'est quoi cet orchestre? la petite est incroyable!!!

  • What a wonderful performance, Hannah!

  • süperr

  • how pathetic your life must be to sit on the interenet and critize...

  • shes awesome ^^

  • the trumpets sounded way off, but it might just be the camera... and she's amazing.

  • That's a horn. And it is the camera.

  • Sure the kid playing is brilliant, but what most of you are forgetting is that Mozart wrote this piano concert when he was 11.

  • can't have a whole orchestra full of prodigies, eh? just the pianist :D

  • fuck your ears man...why don't you post a video and let us see how good you are...sucker!!!!

  • How long has she been playing? I'm 14 and I've been playing for one and a half years, and recently played Mozart's 1st with a school orchestra. I like her tempo, I played the first movement in 04:30 though...

  • she is better pianist than me....but the wind instrument is making a toad voice..she is verry impressive

  • It's a thrilla in manilla! OMFG asians are good at every thing - did you notice the orchestra was all children too!!??

  • when did she start playing... amazing...

  • The Orchestra,as well as Hannah at the piano ABSOLUTELY

wonderful ! Great talent ! THANKS FOR SHARING !!

  • Child prodigy

  • She's adorable...and talented!

  • it was a bad recording, its not the orchestra's fault. It was recorded using a videocam so don't expect good quality sound. And the file needs to be compressed so the audio loses its quality. And please point out which part the orchestra played out of tune :)

  • the whole video was sharp and some notes were too sharp to be the cameras fault

  • some audio/video recordings are not really good samples of music to criticize. Criticize a live performance, not something that is recorded especially if it was done by a camcorder. Btw I am a violinist of the Manila Symphony Orchestra. Which notes are too sharp? please be more specific. Thanks for the comment anyway we in the MSo always try to do our best in our performances. If ever the Philippines, watch us live and make your judgement.

  • ordinary camcorder may affect the quality of sound but not the pitch.lots of people who posted a comment have similar complaints about the orchestra.i'm sure u'll hear why yourself if u listen closely, after all,u r an orchestra member.there in d philippines, not all instruments are as great-sounding as the ones people in richer countries use,but it's undeniable that there are a lot of talented people there.

  • the horn section for one. simply awful. but then again, youth orchestras never have good horn players

  • Any particular reason why everyone looks vaguely asian? Any reason why Hannah Frances is a distinctly European name?

  • Because it's the Manila Symphony Orchestra which is in the Philippines, which is somewhere in Asia. Because parents can name their children any name they want.

  • Remarkable! We can can only hope that talent such as hers can be carefully nurtured and developed for her future success, and our enjoyment. Thanks for sharing!

  • She played very well for an eight year old. It is a pitty that the orchestra is below standard. Her performance would have been perfect had the orchestra been in tune.

  • yeah an other prodigy, a cute one ...

très talentueuse...mais loupe un peu certaines notes...

  • hey guys i think the orchestra is like middle or hi schoolers...well they look like it and that would explain alot rite, but the orch. soundz fine to me.w/e

  • your daughter is so brill

I enjoy the music very much

  • lindo!!

    dinâmico!!!

    maravilhoso!!!

  • omg she can play better than me........ and im twelve and practiced for four years

  • "a natural born asian prodigy"... haha, not ANOTHER one!!

    lol jk

she was impressive!! she will be great one day, her name on wikipedia and all :)

(oh well about the orch. tho)

good luck young one!! and young one's parents!

  • oh? even the pianist got a mistake.. at the end of this movement.. ddnt you notice? hay.. it's olmost the same from this piece's other recordngs.. lol!

  • Whoa, I didn't know kids could play the piano like that. Awesome.

  • i'm very impressed! not so much with the orchestra though! well done hannah. I hope you continue to enjoy your studies and don't be pressured too much :) x

  • Congratulations Hanah. You had done well and I hope you go on studying music performing it. Take care.

  • galing!:) God bless po for her. it's great to know you are very supportive of her.

  • Pas mal pour une fillette de 8 ans... dommage que l'orchestre ne soit pas à la hauteur !

(Pretty good job for a 8-year old child... Too bad that the orchestra behind seems to be not that awesome !)

  • Merci! Well, we have to work with what we have here...

  • why? how bad was the mso performing a mozart concerto? [the orchestra u were saying..]

  • It sounded to me just as poor as any average amateur orchestra (unexpressive and wrong pitch - especially the violins and the horn and trumpet, playing awkwardly to me), playing not as right as it should regarding to this little prodigious girl.

  • just turned 8 when she performed

  • Bravo Hannah!! encore!! encore!!

  • lol that was koo

  • awww, that was awesome! yay hannah! :P
