But U R doing what God would want & I commend U for that. Bullying alone does not force an individual into committing suiced. Kids live in a very fragile world these days it seems and can not handle life's unfairnesses like they use to when I was groing up. Social media has created a very plastic environment for young adults and children to interact in. Thier coping mechanisms are weak and parents are not their enough to address the needs of a troubled teen. The fact that this tribute has been posted on youtube is unfortunate also. My heart goes out...

What a very pretty girl, so bright looking, and smart, they must of been jealous of her, she kind of resembles some of the young country singer stars, very smart, back in my school days I just had to deal with it because everybody ignored what I said about it, like I was the problem, so then I took matters into my own hands, not hurting mysef but opening a can of whoop a double s, finally unfortunately the bullying stopped, nobody wanted any amen, hated to go that route, but thats what it took.

There are many people who want to feel that they're better than others, but they don't have any evidence of it - so they must bring others down to feel better. I was bullied the last year of my high school, the school ended couple weeks ago, now I only have final exams next month. It did eat me inside, but I'm goddamn lucky to have people around me, so that I don't feel so lonely. The weirdest thing about this is that they never said why they bullied me.
Look half the bullying that goes on is because of a pretty nice girl that keeps her mouth shut and keeps to herself the bully calls it "weak" we don't do anything about it cuz quite frank there are more of them. Teachers don't do a thing about it so we just have to go home and cry every night for years it never truly goes away

I'm so sorry about your loss. I was bullied. They all hated me because I never do things right. I struggle with my words. I have anger issues. But when I try to tell them that, they keep blabbing in my face. One day I had enough. I ran home, took out a knife, and ran to my room. My brother saw me and called my mom. She came home and tried to unlock my door. She finally opened the door, and tried looking for me. She could hear me crying. She find me in a corner crying. She hugged me so hard.
I am so sorry about your loss. I lost my son in an automobile accident in 2004. I lost my child for another reason but wanted you to know I feel your pain. I think your daughter was beautiful and looked so innocent and sweet. I have watched this video many times and cry every time. My best friend took his life on December 1, 2003 after being tormented for years because of his sexual preference. I will never forget the day I went to his house to pick him up for school, and found his body. As you stated in your video, that image becomes imprinted in your mind. What our youth needs to realize is that there are many definitions to the word perfect. Everyone has their differences, and my idea of perfection may not be the same as yours. There is absolutely no excuse for bullying
what people who think of suicide dont understand is that it causes pain and suffering for others, understand this guys! No matter what someone says to you this is not the answer, tell someone, a parent teacher reliable friend if your being bullied because its a hard thing to overcome on your own without taking some sort of action, suicide is taking a life even if you do it to yourself and it affects other people.
I have two teenagers and twins that are eight and I try so hard to keep them from doing this to anyone. I was bullied in middle school and it has affected my entire life. People really don't understand how horrible it is. I am sorry beyond words for what has happened to your daughter. She was beautiful and I can only hope that her story stops someone from bullying or gives other girls courage to speak up about what's going on in their lives.
It thoese kids that dont feel good about themselfs that they need to take it out on other kids/people, they have low selfworth and their is on one in the lifes at the time to tell them to stop and give them any attention that they need so in turn they take it out on others around them,.

You need to talk. Only this way do we parents find out what's going on in our kids' life. We don't have a crystal ball that tell us how you kids feel, what you think, and what's going on in your life.

i relate to amanda so much, i know how close i came to ending my life because of bullying as a sophmore in highschool, now at 22 years old with a son of my own i am so thankful to have gotten through that point in my life kids can be so mean. and you are a wonderful mother i am so so so sorry for your loss, i didnt know her but i am crying so hard right now.

we used this video in our presentation to an 8th grade class about what bullying causes it was amazing to watch how they were talking during the entire presentation and the minute this video starts we look around the room and everyone is watching and it is completely silent some comments were how she was really preatty and that she looked like a lot of the girls in our town im sorry for you loss and my condolences to you and your family i think this video really helped show them what can happen

After that the people that were bullying my brother would try to bully me as well like they were proud that they made him kill himself.... I tried acting like it didn't matter like I was OK but I wasn't my Mom almost lost me to pills due to the same people who KILLED my brother. I will not be another Amanda though. Stay strong. Anyone that kills themself is stupid this is sad but really she should have told someone and got help instead of just ending her life and not punishing the ones that made her feel bad or sad or anything else like that. Bullying will NEVER end and sometimes its need just for others to see what they need to fix because bullying isnt only done to people that dont do anything bad it hapens to everyone for a reason but some people do take it too far but even then its not right to just commit suicide.

for all the mums there - be a best friend to ur daughter if she's so sensitive - drop being a mum! i have a great stepmum which i love to bits! she was always my friend and believe me i was doing whatever she wanted me to because she never made me to do something or forbid me to do anything. she was talking to me in a great way instead and turned to be my authority without being my parent.

take ur girl, go for a walk, go to the cinema, ask her to help you with some small shopping like an earrings -not expensive and not grocerries -1.up to ur acc, 2. would bored her and be more of a duty than quality time when u can get close

There are many people who want to feel that they're better than others, but they don't have any evidence of it - so they must bring others down to feel better. I was bullied the last year of my high school, the school ended couple weeks ago, now I only have final exams next month. It did eat me inside, but I'm goddamn lucky to have people around me, so that I don't feel so lonely. The weirdest thing about this is that they never said why they bullied me.

I think your daughter was beautiful and looked so innocent and sweet. I have watched this video many times and cry every time. I have two teenagers and twins that are eight and I try so hard to keep them from doing this to anyone. I was bullied in middle school and it has affected my entire life. @kalliebme I can't even imagine the pain you must be going through.And I bet youve'd gotten a few hurtful comements to,like the one above.Your daughter was beautiful,and much like her,i also get bullied.Alot of teens do its the sad truth.It started around 6th grade for me..till now (8th). I know her hurt,and as a mother,i bet you feel terrible.But thank you so much for sharing your story with us.And remember,Amanda is in a better place now <3 May she rest in peace.

because my so called mum wasn't around when i needed her. "stranger" have noticed and "stranger" gave me meds... thanx to a girl who i knew for 2 months by that time i'm alive today - not living but alive. a wayyy to go to be ok.
so tell me where have you been? because my "mother" was everywhere else but with me :(

@Dessyllyn i was there 24/7 a very noise mom...i fought alot with was i to involved with her life..should i have just let her run wild like most childrens parents did..if u have the answer let me know

for all the mums there - be a best friend to ur daughter if she's so sensitive - drop being a mum! i have a great stepmum which i love to bits! she was always my friend and believe me i was doing whatever she wanted me to because she never made me to do something or forbid me to do anything. she was talking to me in a great way instead and turned to be my authority without being my parent.

@kalliebme i will tell that to all mums by my experience from being on depressed person side, a surivor : take the time for you and your child - just two of you. i don't care u're working 20h a day, i don't care u've got no money etc- these are just excuses!
take ur girl, go for a walk, go to the cinema, ask her to help you with some small shopping like an earrings -not expensive and not grocerries -1.up to ur acc, 2. would bored her and be more of a duty than quality time when u can get close

@kalliebme i don't know your baby girl, no idea how she was... so i can't tell you :yes, u should did like other parents. I was 17 when i left house (never a home), finish school,gave up my master because it wasn't something i'd like to do in life.3 years ago i've change country even. my major break down happen 2 years ago but i live coz someone brought me pills and ask me to take them!and i did because "what worse can happen to me anyway". so now i'm here (and now i'm 30 btw.)

@kalliebme 1 more thing for parents who wants to save their children life -controversial!!! if u see ur child is depressed get prescribtion for cipramil/lexapro 10mg and give them in the morning -lie that there are vitamins or something. it's controversial, nasty, selfish but you will save her life in 3 weeks. while staying on this pill you need to help her - either by yourself or with professional help. help her to straighten her life (don't give up pills for at least 6 months)
