It is an Alsthom product...and uses TGV Technology in the drive units..however ACELA is a much heavier train and uses 2 sets of bogies per car and has active tilting technology. V-max = 240 Km/h
OK... so the Acela is a kind of "export" Alsthom train overthere in USA... runs for sure a bit "slower" than the lighter french TGV "Atlantique" but still, those 240 km/h are still quite high for any train, especially in "metropolitan" use -as i rode on another post about the Acela.
Eurostar is a TGV modified to run on UK tracks. It has two power cars plus a powered car adjacent to each power car. The latest TGV, known as AGV, has no power cars, but the power units are distributed along the train as is the case with ICE 3 in Germany - it is still a TGV despite this, though technically it could also be classed as an EMU. The TGV, AGV and Eurostar were all built by the same manufacturer, though in different places.

I´m German and I have to admit, that the TGV looks way better, than the ICE does.
In addition all "Deutsche Bahn"-trains are unpunctual as hell...-.-
