just like my 1996 z71. it's got a 383 stroker,and the only thing that has happend was a vaccum line that came off of the throttle body. made it black smoke and run bad. plugged it in and instant repair =)

I thought you had recently bought a cadillac.That dash looks almost identical to my honda accord.If it's a honda those are easily replaced.You can buy the replacement part and do it yourself.

yes for 2 reasosns, one is im burnign threough more gas this way, and its going to be more expensive to frive, but more importantly the fumes are toxic and are much thicxker and are gettign into the cab, or driving area easily, so its a health problem now...I already ordered the exaust and wil have it very soon...

Easy.Buy a cheap muffler. $25 at Pep Boys or Autozone, punch a bunch of holes in it with a screwdriver.

Drive around in low gear and let off the gas a lot, the back-pressure will make that cheap muffler sound just as annoying as your broken exhaust. My home town is full of these fart can tuner cars. Like fleas on a dog's nuts...

ti an extent depends on the engine.. and car.. you could add a turbo straight piple and low restriction muffler.. and cat to be legal.. the muffler takes 15hp from a car takeing it off you gain 15 hp but if your changeing the exhaust not hard to add turbo just more work..

It was hard to tell, but maybe you just need a converter or muffler. To me it looked like that may have been rusted out. Is the exhaust on the right side where that little piece is curving down out the back?

it was a bad shot, the rusted peice was part of the hanger that keeps the exaust up against the car, what happend is right where the cat is the exaust was rusted and broke off...

well i didn't say now, near future sure but instantly getting a new car isn't feasible all the time. plus the 2.2l vtec isn't the more reliable vtec motor, the sohc vtec is where it's at for reliability. i had a civic with it and yeah, always started, never any problems except overheating.
