i just got my face perfect then had a random pimple and hyper pigmentaion happened dammit sucks but its not like i get play anyway. Also yea the prod you mention dont help with hyper pig that process is natural healing cycle any way so time is the best cure in my opinion but it drives me nuts im just going to get rid of mirrors period girls are lucky the have make up that will cover anything slap that foundation on

I like ur skin it's so even mine looks like shit,i have some acne scars on my cheeks and it sucks and imma try to use bio oil or scarzone,have u tried scarzone before?

@Krazee4KoRn get to a spa/salon and get a peel done by a trained esthetician. probably glycolic. it will exfoliate your skin and scars will look lighter after a couple peels..

@Krazee4KoRn a peel is around $60, u just have to call around, id google spa's in town on google and look at prices. I havnt tried Bio oil for the same exact reason. I do my own peels, ill have my esthetician license soon. and i use retin a every nite which has helped too. i get it from my doctor its $5 with insurance.and i wear sunscreen EVRYDAY!

I use bio-oil every day. It does not do anything as far a lightening the skin or healing. It does moisturize the skin. I have been usin this product for over a year, so if you are looking for a lightener or scar removal, this is not the product. I am also using mederma right now, and it has been three weeks, and i have not seen any difference.

About 2 yrs ago I used bio oil . It faded some of my marks but i stoped using it after my facial cleaner ( Aveeno brightening scrub) didnt mix with it . using those two products made my skin get dark blotches around my nose, forhead my laugh lines where even dark. it made my skin look like it was burned and Dirty... .. Please dont mix those to products together everyone

I have to tell you folks not to buy bio oil. It's an absolute swizz. If you look carefully at the box you will notice that it contains the same ingredients as all standard moisturisers. The only way to fade a scar quickly is a chemical peel. That way you remove the damaged skin instead of simply wetting it. Believe me i gave bio oil the most rigorous test over a 4 year period. It does absolutely nothing.

i really love biooil...it worked for me and i have sensitive/combination skin...it took my post acne mark to significantly lighten about 5-7 months which is long for some people but with the marks gone my self confidence went up

During that time that you were using the bio oil, your acne mark would have faded on it's own anyway. So you probably only thought it was the bio oil that lightened it.

Bio Oil? HMMM, I will be trying this. I actually heard of it but I was skeptical :) I tried the green tea scar zone didn't really work for me either. I want to ge that at home peel- I use to get them liek at the dermatologist and it really worked so now I will I'm interested in this philosphy thingy. let me know how it's going....

Yeah the bio oil is pretty decent, I'm trying to stick with it, but I find I give up if I don't see immediate results. Right now I'm only putting it on at night.

The philosophy peels are nice! I think there's a little bit of fading going on, but honestly it's hard to notice a day-to-day change since I'm staring at the marks every day!

Amy (beautyncharm) mentioned below that Olay has the same kind of peel for like half the price. So after I finish this, I'm going to try that!

you only have to use the slightest amount. it's an oil, not a runny liquid. i've been using it for over 3 weeks. this sized bottle should last a very, very long time.

& I have scar zone and i didnt find it to really work.. but I also bought Mederma bc I was asleep one day with my kitty and my puppy and my dog scared the cat which resulted in my cat scratching my face..deeply. and mederma worked magic! my scar is gone! =)

Olay makes a GREAT knockoff, Regenerist Microdermabrasion & Peel System. Almost exactly the same thing. I go back and forth between the two depending on my bank account. :P

woot woot. I'm always on the lookout for scar-fading products.. I hate acne scars, and I'm sad that the Mederma gel made my skin itch, which is soo rare for me! :( Bio-oil is pretty good, but I agree, it takes a super long time! I think I got tired of waiting so I put it away for a while.. maybe I should bring it back and give it another chance haha <3
