TERRIBLE rider, blaming the horse for it's lack of experience and her incompetence.. So sorry for that horse. That rider should get better lessons and an older horse to lesson on. Ignorance in humans... and animals pay the price. Sick.
@laurenblake1998 um, its cross country, thats what you do, you go through puddles and shit.... its meant to go through mudd, and just b/c there isnt mud, doesnt mean you cant sill get hurt...
UMMM WELL 1ST DONT WACK THE HORSE IT WASNT HIS FOULT HE DIDNT JUMP THE JUMP MAYBE HE GOT THE RONG LEG OR SOMTHING !!!! AND ALSO U SHOULDNT JUMP AND LEAN BACK IT MEANS YOU ARE PULLING ON HIS MOUTH AND IT COULD HURT HIM !!!!!! GOD ALSO IF YOUR HORSE IS A FAWARD GOING HORSE YOU DONT NEED TO SMACK HIM ALL THE TIME ........INPROVE THESE PROBLEMS PLEASE .................... but anyway nice riding u jumped verry high :)
i think she did absolutely fine, the only thing i would say is to gve your horse a 'well done' pat after it did what you wanted it to! other than that, she did great.
Seriously. Once that horse jumped the jump that he or she didn't go over before, then he or she should be praised and patted for it ; even if it's just a little, 'Well Done'. The horse is really forward going, okay, but every single horse deserves praise when it does something right. Do you guys agree?
@AcidRaain97 yes i agree but surely she wouldn't of entered a horse in a competition the horse couldn't do,, mabe the horse was being stupid and uncooperative i know my horse would have gone over the jump because it know there are consequences, if the horse is generally scared that if fine but if it is being stupid like all horses can do sometimes going over the jump didn't deserve praise.
but yes i do agree a small pat would have been appropriate.
@AcidRaain97 egsactly!! i meen eavin saying "good" would have incoraged the horse to do much more jumping!!! that poor horse probably was left saddled up all day because it refuced to jump just 1nce! i feel so bad 4 the poor horse!!! i think he should have pat the horse proudly on the neck and said good horse, instead of KEEP GOING! im not saying he should have stopped the horse all together jumped off of him and rubbed him im just saying a little praise would have done wonders on the performance
That looks like my horse when she freaks out its like ahhh water! run away! lol sometimes you do hafta b kinda firm with them if they dont do what you want cuz it could become kinda dangerous
bloody creature, i have never seen anything so stubborn in my life. she rode the first jump quite badly and then after that it just took the piss by just standing there and napping it knew it was going home and couldn't be arsed to go into the tiny water. Tweseldown is one of the nicest courses. Naughty horse needed a firmer smack and atronger riding in the first place... phew sorry rant!!
@twigletrobbie It wasn't naughty. It wasn't confident. I don't know the woman, but she didn't seem confident and didn't seem to have enough impulsion after the horse jumped the fence. I felt that was her fault, and mostly is the riders fault.
the riderr handled it reall well. using the whip once dosn't mean beating the crap outta it. and when you ride xc it is complelty different to other jumpingg. i dont realse my pony fully of we would be on the other side of the course in 5 secondss :L
omfg guys she knows how 2 ride!!!!! this horse is prob. crazy like mine, shes training him and she gotta make sure and save herself and not get thrown off and hurt... yall dont know anything!!! so stop
i hate it when horses quit on me. and the rider wasn't being mean, sometimes you have to be though on the horse. its not abuse to smack them with a crop, it gets them going. i have had horses refuse on me on xcountry and its a pain.

0:28 makes me SO sick!!! he didnt wanna jump him so wen she beat the crap out of him and he jumped it perfectly she pulls on his mouth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omfg as if beating him wasnt enough she pulls on him wen he does what SHE wanted him to do.. i hate mean riders like that!!!!! aand i i know this isnt u TheSteinkamp :P
okay, if you watch other cross country jumpers they always pull back on the reins, that's how they ride. that was not beating a horse. it was simply using the crop as an aid like many riders do. you have no idea what beating a horse is
My god, the footing there was absolutely horrid! I would have scratched the instant I saw it. But maybe thats because I live in California and I am "spoiled" seeing as we compete year round (save december) and it barely rains, even in the winter. xD
But you handled the refusal nicely, and trotting into the water was a good choice. Seems like you have a nice youngster there.
lol that person is totally doing it wrong that why he failed the horsei its self is not a jumper

Ouch , is crest release in her vocabulary ???

@dreessagediva
You don't need to crest release on a wide jump that small, 2-point will suffice.
