you might want to enroll in the Marine corps delayed enlistment program (DEP). sometimes they have events in which you can participate where they have DI's and all that. Its awesome man believe me. I already had one of those grunts spitting in my face. lol

yeah they actually take your picture with an american flag background then they post it in a board with your shipping date.they also give you an ID and a motivational run shirt that says "Pain is Weakness leaving the body", at least thats what i got. its a one year training or more, it includes firing range at the events with m4s or m16s, and obstacle course, then after all that you get your MRE. Its a hell of a experience believe me man it helps a lot.

Actual Marine birthday is July 11th, 1834. Before then US Army soldiers followed US Army regulations on land (Yes, including Lt. O Bannon0_) and US Navy regulations at sea. After that, Marines got to have their own regulations.

The Commandant of the Marine Corps was embarrassed about the "Johny Come Lately" image that gave, and after WWI decided to back date the Birthday of the Corps.

dude you dont need to know where to sign up just go to your local recruiting office and talk to the recruiters just like I did. You can even enroll in the Delayed Entry Program of the Marine Corps. It will help you a lot before going to boot camp. I've been 3 months in the program and you also have to pass the ASVAB, MAPS, and PT.
