There will be hate everywhere in life man, it increases as you get more views since people on the internet just love to speak there mind. You know you have all your fans and we only care for your video content, not what you buy.
@Ralphstricks Thanks man! This I am well aware of. It's not so much hate on specific channels, but as a whole for particular brands and specific uses. It does become personal when people lack the factual information to back their ignorant statements. lol
Appreciate you stopping by man. You've been part of my channel since the beginning!
Hey there Zippo, I was glad I hung in there on your "rambling" :D to the very end because it's true we do have a commonality of enjoying knives. It's not important to me which brand anyone uses...we all use or purchase ones that we enjoy owning or want to try out. Heck, I enjoyed using my $10 Opinel last night to cut up some salsa ingredients. Take care and keep posting, I gave ya a thumbs up!
@lisantica Thanks for tuning in for the whole spiel Lisa! Opinels are a class act! It's nice to diversify disregarding price. Different strokes for different folks. :]
Bladeforums has a lot of fanboys which is why I can't go on there very frequently. Every Strider thread turns into a shit slinging thread. The USN does have a lot of brand praising, but if someone doesn't dig your knife or brand choice they don't crap on it.
@MrVegaslive It's one thing to defend against ignorant statements than to utilize emotion over fact to defend a brand. People like what they like. hah
Don't like the forums, don't read them...I don't, especially blade forums. I might hit the spydie one now and then to find out about new blades. But, that's about it.
I don't spend 400+ on a cross knife either. I'll just spend a little more for a custom instead.
Right on, dude. Thanks for chiming in on this. I'm definitely guilty of being a fanboy of quite a few brands - but at the same time, I'm also pretty quick to point out when those brands don't keep things up to snuff. I agree, people need to chill out.
Truer words have never been spoken, man. Knife collecting is a hobby and should be fun. But I guess some folks aren't having fun if there isn't at least a little bit of drama.
Everyone should just agree, Frost cutlery makes the best knives. everything else, your just over paying for essentially the same thing. a cuting instrument, Man's most primitive tool. then again, why use a cheap knife when an expensive one will do just fine.
agreed, the forums have a lot of info, but they also have a lot of opinions, sometimes its difficult to seperate those two, and sometimes opinions wash out factual evidence
I feel you completely. I love Spyderco cause every knife I get is perfect and in the price range. But my ZT knifes have blade centering problems and I love kershaw knives.
Great video and very well said. I'm very loyal to certain brands because I feel they have proven to be worthy of my loyalty and respect. It's not only the knives but also the makers themselves that make me loyal. I never bash another company or maker until they start disrespecting others. Personally I hate the fanboyism of certain popular brands because they speak out of haste not fact. Ohh btw you CAN void the warranty if you disassemble your strider.
@nosaj03 Thanks man and I agree. We all have loyalty to a particular brand or brands, but how you voice it speaks volumes. I didn't realize that? Seems Strider has made a few changes with warranty. Considering they sell assembly tools for Strider I assumed it's within warranty to take apart.
Great video, ZTNT. You articulated your points very well! I really enjoy seeing differing opinions...but they need to be kept constructive instead of emotional. As for the makers having tempers...well, most type A personalities have tempers. They are highly driven individuals....usually with larger egos. It's part of their individual makeup and a key component to them excelling at their craft. Take it with a grain of salt and enjoy the fruits of their labors.
I used to read and post on Bladeforums every day. I haven't been on in at least a month. Partly because of issues in the community that you touch on ...no one could bring up problems with high end knives without being labeled a troll...no one could talk about Chinese knives without the thread getting hijacked by people with an axe to grind... And ESEE left, and they cut the Wilderness and Survival forum in two which sorta broke the outdoors subcommunity there, but I'm wandering from my point now
Wish i could like this video 1000 times. I stopped visiting bladeforums completely a few months back for this very reason. Don't get me wrong, this stuff does happen on other "forums" too and bladeforums still has a mass amount of knowledgeable info there. But I just cant visit one of their subforums without seeing the bashing. The Youtube knife community is def where its at IMO. (despite the recent drama here too).
@ThePhilapplication Yeah I just browse what I want and try my best to ignore anything negative. hah I agree the peeps here on YouTube are more positive. Makes sense though..No brand sub forums.
you can buy a 4000 dollar computer take it home and it wont turn on, its the same thing, i dont get why people freak about knives, companys go through changes and the product gets affected, its life, its business, i can only afford production knives, but if i could i would love a strider or sebenza, left handed of course, lol, great video bro
I do have my favorite brands and custom designers but I do not like to hate on a brand just because it makes a mistake hear or there. IDk y people are so myopic and quick to hate.
Great vid, Nathan. I couldn't agree more. People just get so worked up sometimes that it is just unbelievable. I think I am going to make a video on my experience with Chris Reeve customer service. I had great communications with Chris and his staff. It will definitely be a positive video.
all good points my friend, i think its human nature to think "mine" is the best! my opinion is the most important! and when challenged they can't accept the truth, or for that matter any opinion other than their own. from what i have seen its the fanboys that are the loudest defending their "mentor" basically because they look to someone else to make their decisions for them, hence they defend what little they know. LOUDLY
@auradud3 Couldn't be more true. I'm sure we're all guilty of this at one point, but gotta learn to take a step back and reevaluate the situation at hand. haha
@ZippoThisKnifeThat i know u have been, but my gripes are with bad or misleading info, as far as brands go, we all have our favorites. thats why i try to say "in my opinion"
Your last couple of words is what everyone needs to remember "we are all here to share our love for knives" and that is the TRUTH my brotha! Great video :)

That's crk knife. Droids like to guess and enter words for you.
Don't know what test you're referring to or the comments within. People are entitled to say what the wish. Don't get butt hurt about it.
You like your crk blades, that's fine. No need to defend something that you already have your own mind made up about them.
