  • @drunkenacolyte

It's an awesome tune that I used to work out to, but I remember reading some old wrestling magazine article criticizing Hogan's old theme song for sounding like outdated disco music. In the 80's, I guess anything even remotely disco was considered lame by the average rock fan.

  • Man I love those distorted drums!

  • Wow I never knew about this theme. I was little when Hogan first went mainstream.

  • Long live the sauce & mustard man.

  • what do you guys think of his WCW theme

American made that was awesome 2

    and

VOODOO CHILE SLIGHT RETURN of Jimmy Hendrix

  • If I was a wrestler, I'd be pretty darn grateful if Jim Steineman, one of the best living American songwriters, composed MY theme music.

  • awesome theme song =D

  • I wonder if Barry Windham hadn't left the WWF in 1985 and the U.S. Express continued with him and Rutundo, if this song would have become Hogan's permenant theme song that he used for the remainder of his WWF career.

  • @DanimalBr

Perhaps. Though this is something I could work out to in the gym, especially during the intense stuff.

  • Fun stuff. I just learned that this was written by noted songwriter Jim Steinman, most famous for his collaborations with Meatloaf.

  • wowww awesome, ive never heard this and ive been following hogan my whole life. this is awesome he should return to the wwe with this theme in 2011!

  • Is it just me? or is this song Amazing or what? In a way I think it's just as good as real American was. I recently just found out Real American was briefly used for barry windham & mike rutondo before they gave the song to hulk...

  • cool havent heard this song in 20 years

  • My parents bought me the album (Record) when I was like 3, in 86 that had this song on it. It had Grab them cakes and a bunch of other old school themes. It was great

  • @twiztidlestat It was a good album. My step brother had it, and we listened to it all the time. Great stuff.

  • I would go so far as saying this was BETTER than his real american theme.

  • in which years exactly he used this one??

  • @84Terminator Late 85, early 86

  • Wasn't this the theme to his Saturday Morning Cartoon.

  • @tedsterify Yes, it was.

  • He used it in AWA and WWE in 1984. This one is off and on from 1984-1987.

  • Wow, I had almost forgotten about this theme, it had been so long since I had heard it. One of those themes where you don't hear it for so long, but yet as soon as you hear it again, it instantly comes back to you.

  • the Rock N' Wrestling theme! yeah! HULK! HULK!

  • And before that he used Eye of The Tiger for the roll he played in Rocky III!

  • @peterjohnlentz Eye of The Tiger gets old. Jim Steinman Forever!!!!
