Hi mate,I was wondering if you could help me,I was wondering when freezing water to make a solid (ice) is it best to freeze slower or faster (colder) if i want less crystal formation in the sample? Im using just a home freezer with basic settings but my samples keep coming out really crystaline and have many cracks.I want them to be as pure looking as possible.Hope you can help

@leeroidz When water freezes no matter what speed it gets frozen water forms a cyrstal lattis. I guess Im not really sure what your asking are you asking how to get clear ice cubes? The only way to make clear ice cubes at home with a regular freezer is to get pure filtered water and boil it. Then let it freeze at its regular pace. You're ice cubes should come out somewhat clear. They wont be perfectly clear but at least they will appear much more clear then faucet water ice cubes.

You dont have to soak your french fries in vinegar just dip one fry in some vinegar and give it a taste, let me know what you think :)

Ive heard that if you got some threaded metal tubing and filled it 3/4 of the way with vinnegar and the rest with baking soda.. (with a way to seperate them) the resulting pressure can make the pipe explode... do you think that baking soda and vinnegar could create enough pressure to make the metal pipe explode?

No! Metal is just to strong & the pressure created by the CO2 released wouldnt be enough to explode a metal pipe, even a threaded one. To explode any kind of metal pipe you would need a reaction that would create way more pressure. Just to give you a small example, when we film these science files we try different methods before one makes it on the show. One method we tried was turning the container upside down & the the only thing the reaction could do was pop open the lid only a small crack
