@AFloppySkittle1 - Thanks you! And though I do see your point, it doesn't work here. Check out a lot of your favorite drummers kits in live pics/vids. You will see all kinds of taping and muting going on. It's a valid way of controlling the sound through microphones. Having tape on your drums does not imply you can't tune, it means you want a deader, thumpier sound, and no amount of tuning can solve this. That large piece on my floor tom was too big though. A new head fixed that. =)

@freakface123 - Hello and thank you! I use a (well, more like I just own...) a DW 9002 double pedal. I'm not very good at it and only half-heartedly practice it sometimes. Someday I may post a cover using it. =) Btw FYI. 1. I don't use the DB pedal at all in this cover and 2. All my gear is on my homepage if you're interested. Thanks again!

@piggs53 - Thanks for the very kind words. I'm sorry to say though, No and no. I learned the song by ear and added my own flourishes that the band's drummer does not play. It comes from lots of listening and experimenting - which is exactly how I recommend you learn it as well. Sorry but I hope this helps!

@noble381297 - Hey man! Main reason I'm playing open handed here is to be able to hit the toms and ride cymbal while riding the hi-hat during the beats. But for the past 5 years or so I have fiddled with, practiced and explored playing open handed to try to be ambidextrous. I'm very right handed but getting closer to my goal every time I practice and play like this. =) Thanks for the question!

@mrgaijin17 - umm, I'm not exactly sure how to answer your question. It depends on what you mean. In short though, I (and most drum coverers on youtube) listen to the song on my ipod and the camera and microphone pick up the video/audio. Then the song is superimposed over the footage on the computer. Does that help? My pedals are DW9000 series.

This is a great cover, very accurate. Your sound is perfect, and your drums sound is amazing :). The video quality is amazing, too! & Open handed drumming seems easy for you. I can play all left handed, or all right handed, but open handed isn't easy for me lol. Thumbs up for playing barefoot!
