  • Nomral approach at Princess Juliana airport in St-Marrten

  • Perfectly normal landing for that particular airport.

  • It's called landing on the numbers. The numbers being the large painted numbers at the leading tip of the runway, that describes the compass bearing in the plane when that plane is on final approach. A runway that requires the plane to land by flying west, which is 270 degrees compass bearing, is runway 27. So this pilot was landing on the numbers, most likely because the runway was shorter than normal. Normal being about 10,000 feet.

  • I think it should be titled extreme spectating...

  • omg no, u got this all wrong, this is how they all land at this airport, it wasnt any sort of a mishap on the pilot

  • @Budsmoker72 i totally agree st matin is like that and besides the pilots arent looking at the peopl i bet teir looking at their instruments so they dont crash or anything

  • All landings at SXM are always extreme!

  • looking good

  • OMFG

  • D;Driver!!

  • That's fucking crazy.

  • Amazing? You prohably don't landed in San Francisco - It's almost the same like here - the difference is just, theres not a beach, but a quai, were the lane begins, the approach is similiar like this here

  • nothing extreme about the landing...

  • its not md-11 its 747-400 jet made by boieng

  • It's a specific place where the planes always land that close to civilians.

  • Google Princess Juliana Intl its an airport right next to the beach and if you look there is a road in between the spotter and the fence.

So before you call someone a "EXTREME DICHEAD" to some research

  • Youre breaking federal law by being a retard. Notice how he was standing on the road, which is adjacent to a public beach.

  • the cameraman are going for suicide..

  • wow perfecto

  • Hmmm.

When did the word extreme replace the meaning of text book?

Nothing extreme about that landing. A little strange someone decided to put a tarmac right there but in reality, what's the difference between that and a grassy field? The plane is supposed to land on the tarmac so the fact that it is very close to a body of water doesn't really matter to the pilot.

  • In no way is this is extreme, it's all great fun! Just need to learn to live a little! Fantastic!

  • This at st maartens?

  • yep certainly is :D

  • I would NOT be standing there, LOL

  • Princess Julinana :)

  • That's sick!:O:O

  • holy crap D:

  • I wanna go there :'(, ive heard for the KLM that the MD-11 will take over the sint maartin flight. so no 747 but a MD-11 that's what i've heard. i prefer the almighty 747

  • MD-11 is a large plane too, exept with a large problem reccord.

  • thats st martin alright

  • mmm ok

  • imagine a surface to air missile standing there. DAmn these terrorists.

  • Pino u no nothing...the Cessna 421 carrys 12,and thier largest jet carries 20

  • princes juliana international airport ST MAARTEN, it's normal.

  • that was a great landing he probably had to cut his approach short because of the small runway..it also was probably like 20 feet above the fence but that still close haha

  • ok?

  • ok.

  • ok?

  • yeah ok.

  • ok.

  • ok?!!!

  • okay

  • LOL, Okay?!!

  • mmm ok

  • OMG okay!!!

  • anyone seen the vid of plane powerin up for take off at this airport?its real funny u can see people bein blasted into the sea from the beach

  • This is normal for Princess Juliana - SXM - Saint Marteen

  • No BA Captain. Shelf stacker more like. I'm a Cessna 152 co-pilot (!) and I have better English

  • the copilot of a single pilot aircraft? :p

  • cessna's are for 2 persons or even 4.

  • Rated to fly with one pilot. Infact there is no instruments on the Right side panel, usually considered "Instructors" panel. I said "Single Pilot" not "Single Person"

  • no. ever heard of Cessna 441, 310, etc. or any of their jets like Citation (Encore, Mustang, X, just to name a few!)

  • this isnt that amazin its normal landing there. Im a 747 captain for British Airways and ive flown to that airport, its perfectly routine.

  • I'd like to think that a captain for British Airways would have a better grasp of the English language. Who were you trying to impress?

  • Did you even finish High School? Go back to your Play Station and wet dreams..

  • So BA recruited a 16 year old captain? They don't fly to that airport either. Idiot...

  • this is just usual landing procedure at st martin...whats extreme about it?

  • the extreme closeness you can get to the plane to film it? :P certainly not an extreme landing, pretty nice one actually, looked smooth as a baby's prosterior.

  • Saint Martin aux Antilles

  • Where is this?
