  • fuck COLUMBUS HOPE HE BURNS FOR ETERNITY FOR THE WICKED HE DID TO THE NATIVE PEOPLE OF THE AMERICAS!!

  • Hate him Columbus curse on him , hope his soul is suffering forever

  • Another fiction believer , Hollow earth??!? c'mon man you can't be serious.

  • Christopher columbus the murderer who started the american way.

  • Nothng is mentioned about Martin Pinzon and his brother Vincent.

  • @avq5

just because he has a holiday dosent mean he's a hero, however youre entitled to your opinion and i respect it

  • by saying he was from italy the spanish king would see him as pure bussyness man and also give him trust because the genovese also knew much about trading with arabs and spice routes, but he was in fact portuguese

  • the fact why he lied about where he was bron to the spanish was because spain and portugal were against eachother and because he wanted his heritage to be secret many say he was in fact a portuguese agent from the king to lead the spanish of course from brazil witch had already been discovered and also the indies, where do you think the name cuba came from out of his hat, no it came from his hometown, sagres the navigation school is near by cuba the village

  • actually theres been skulls found in america that date before indians and where from europeans this is a fact, and further more colombo was portuguese jew, he lived or was bron in the village of cuba in southern portugal, the village still exists today, he named the island after the village where he was born

  • @ukusapillage -On Discovery site-Childrens 'cave paintings',with adult paintings overhead,dated,..100,000 years ago.Nordic'Runes" dated 520's up the Colorado River also.

  • you spaghetti eating fuck

  • columbus rulz.. hewas a great man who dicovered the indains and helped the pilgrims from starving

  • @avq5 no he was a baby killer that stole the indians land a brought diseases and sold 9 year old girls into sex slavery, columbus was no different than hitler

  • @LegacyTattoos no way bro.. colmbus was a great american hero with his own holiday thats why it celebrtes him

  • What the current history seems unable to clear is how come he managed to get such a good marriage if he was just the son of some forgoten genovese and pirate aprentice. You know...portuguese nobility was not exactly on a low point at that time. So most likely, whatever we know today is not really the truth.

  • Fuck this video!!! LIES

  • @VisceralView -This video lies??Good. Share YOUR PROOF,or be silent.

  • NICE VIDEO, but unfortunately mostly ALL LIES.

This has been mostly ALL PROVEN WRONG.

THIS IS ALL LIES. RIDDLED WITH LIES.

Time to learn THE TRUTH and forget the 500 yr old LIES - here is a hint some of the paintings of "Colon" (not his real name and NEVER EVER Columbus/Colombo) and compared them to the Genoa Colombo they try to pass as "Colon" you see any similarities? NO, not close.

    colombo.bz/english/first_note.htm

    Than also 1942.us. com

  • @PORTUGAL1010 SORRY mistake on second website

1492.us. com NOT 1942 - forgive me. Thanks

  • christpher columbus is a great hero he sailed on the mayflower and discovered america and saved the indians from s tarving

  • Celso García de la Riega, is concluded by Mr. Alfonso Philippot, who reveals the enigma regarding Colón signature, and presents his thesis that took him over 50 years of exhaustive investigation, first in 1991. At the moment his book is on the fifth edition. Unfortunately only in spanish, but his son, Cristobal Philippot, is preparing the 6th edition in english. For more info, go to the author site.

  • @londoneye79 I will definitely go to the author's site and get on a list to buy the English version of the book, and look forward to reading it.

I am open minded about history. History does change based on new evidence, reinterpretation of old evidence. It well may be that a lot of Columbus' history has been inaccurately written.

Thank you and keep posting. I'll make notes on your posts and do some further research.I think you should do a video, too, of the information you've presented.

  • to Portugal. There, he needs to use a different name to protect his life, choosing the name imposed to him by this biological mother, therefore, Cristobal Colón. He stays at the house of the cousin of his wife, Doña Teresa de Tavora, Mr. Pedro Correa, until, the time were, thanks to his cousin the Cardenal Mendoza, he introduced to the Isabel and Fernando, to present his apologies and to let him come back to Galicia, in Spain. The main pilars of this theory, which starts in the XIX century by

  • the legitimate heir to the throne of Castilla (Spain). His controversial marriage to the King of Portugal and the doubts about the legitimacy of her blood, makes the Crown of Castilla to declare Isabel and Fernando the future monarchs of Spain. Pedro de Sotomayor, (or Cristobal Colón), fights on the side of the portuguese in the famous batle of Toro, defending the rights of Doña Juana, future Queen of Spain. The Catholic monarchs start a prosecution against Don Pedro, who needs to go to exile

  • at his time, and after the battle against the "Irmandiños" (those who wanted to fight for their rights against the nobles) Alvaro dies because of the injuries suffered on that battle, and Pedro or Cristobal (his name when he was born) becomes the owner of all the possessions of the Sotomayor family. Later, he saves the life of the King of Portugal Alfonso V, who named Count of Caminha, in a prove of his gratitude. The monarch was married to Doña Juana, alias "La beltraneja", and she was legally

  • This family from Pontevedra is the only Colón family in the entire world who had 5 generations of sailors. He was born from Fernan Eanes de Soutomayor, and his affair with Contanza Gonçalvez Colón. Years later, his father recognize his bastard son as he was the only hope for the future of the capital of his family. His only son Alvaro, didn´t have any children and when his father dies, he becomes the tutor and father of Colón (by then renamed as Pedro de Sotomayor). Pedro was a revolutionary man

  • Christopher Columbus was in reality Cristóbal Colón, (lets not translate people´s names... ) He was a noble from a very wealthy family from Galicia, Spain. The italian theory about his origins is not just weak on its facts but documentation. Cristobal Colón court of arms giving to him by the Catholic monarchs has 5 anchors, meaning that he was the fifth generation of sailors on his family. The only family in the world, with the Italian surname Colón, were the ones from Pontevedra (Galicia-Spain)

  • Christopher columbus was just another scumbag european, He's most likely rotting in the firy pitts of hell right now, Rip sitting bull.

  • But dispite my critique of some of the points made about Columbus which I THINK unfairly point the fingure at him & misjudge him, and not the people around him, I still think was a well made video & you did take the time & make the effort to put together a short history video which was put together well! Good Job!

  • @mrshutter77 Thank you very much. You certainly know your topic. Maybe you should also put together a video.

  • Because I studied him because he fascinated me so much, and the points I made in my previous comments - I don't think it's fair to single Columbus out & blame him for all the atrocities that took place & say he started it all - Ironically he himself was worried that that is how history might see him one day. But it was the people around him, including his brothers & the Spanish Nobility in general. he also did land on Panama was guided by the natives to the pacific side of Panama.

  • @mrshutter77 I don't think I've ever said he was the only one to blame for atrocities. Lots of explorers did horrible things (i.e., Cortes was not a nice guy).

  • @yvettegr - Cortes was the main butcher who really did refect the thinking of Spanish & European Nobility at the time!

  • @mrshutter77 Well while all this maybe true any sane person decent human being, would assume he should be burning in agonizing hell and in the least should not be remembered well nor celebrated. So his fears was based on the fact that he knew what he was and that was a murdering genocidal child pimping raping nasty depraved demon

  • @selenadelos You People here amaze me.In 2011 these things are horrible. These treatments of people were COMMON PRACTICE in the 1400's,1300's 1200's,and before. The Church Of Rome, invented half of them. They were Primitive People, dumb, with blood lust.Look at the "History"these people had.SCREAM about Columbus, and the horrible things that he did.Take a deep breath, now SCREAM about the Church, the POPE'S,and ALL the people that they did the SAME to,....only 1000's.and 1000's of them.I DARE YOU TO.

  • @billy1212ist : Implying I have not feelings for the many other victims of this shit evil church of religious racial bigots ?

I do not understand you either and by the way their just as primitive and the same mindsets persist even now by the way among them.

While yes much has been done to others and I have all empathy for them also, but name any other race that had everything taken and chased to the brink of extinction by Christians go ahead ?

Again I say Columbus burn in hell nasty bastard !

  • @selenadelos You base this on WHAT? How many books have YOU READ about HIM? He sailed for SPAIN,voyage I,he brought back 24 people, they were taken so 'slaves'.Voyage II,17 ships,1200 men& Soldiers, and Church Representatives,NOW the KILLING begins.Lady, read history, the Aztec,Mayan,& many South American peoples,Inca, native American,The Holy Roman Empire,The Inquisition,You follow Christian History and see.Church's killed and RULED the masses, lied and robbed them.and still do.

  • @billy1212ist: I happen to have read several books about him and many other connected subjects for your information, and you do not know me like that.

I do not care at all what The Aztecs in their lands get that straight, and they I can only assume they did not give a rats ass what atrocities Europeans did to your own on your own in your European lands, so spare the often used Euro BS excuses !

Well we both hate the filthy Christian Church then it sounds like and I just happen to despise

  • @selenadelos Columbus sorry decrepit ass monster of a being as well and I can see no reason in hell to overlook his various sick character flaws and the scars and cancer of colonialism he left behind on his trip hopefully to a eternity of torture and damnation along with his crew and all that are like him or in their hearts make excuses for him even now and may you all get together one day.

There is no excuse for his actions deeds or character not then not now not ever deal with it !

  • @selenadelos YOU ASKED ME,..."Name any other race that had everything taken and chased to the brink of extinction by Christians go ahead ?...............MY ANSWER IS : The Aztec,..The Mayan,..The Incan,..The Native American.ALL WERE. .....THE INQUISITION,THE RAT CHURCH (Christians),KILLED EVERYBODY,that did not kiss their rat ass. There I NAMED THEM,like YOU ASKED ME TO.

  • @billy1212ist Okay we agree and I am a full blood Lakota myself and so yes I know this because it does effect everything in my life and so I studied and looked very hard for the why this happened ??

Christopher Columbus was a big part of that dark shameful history and he deserves no respect no holiday no praise and is accursed for his character deeds ETC.

So what are we debating here then I am not a Christian, I am a traditional Red Path ???

  • @selenadelos *Columbus NEVER set foot on North America,he did not know it was there.Amerigo Vespucci, found South America,it got the name in 1507,He too knew nothing of North Amer.Vikings came in the 300's and' found' it.Cave paintings of natives of North America, were dated to 100,000 years ago.Cabot 'found' it in 1496 for England's Henry VII.The History is LIES,The Spanish were CRUEL taught by THE CHURCH.To maim and KILL.THE KILLER is the CATHOLIC CHURCH,they LIE then TAKE.USA is the same.LIES.

  • @billy1212ist *Columbus NEVER set foot on North America,,,,

Did I claim he did no I never said he did, what he did do was begin the genocide among his various other cruelties to the Taino population of which he wiped out, all under The Doctrine Of Discovery of The Catholic Church which is made up of several Papal Bulls something you may wish to read up on.

Next this doctrine he first used and prospered came into the lets call it Americas, and was held as the law of the land

  • @selenadelos which took from us every human or any civil rights even down to our children property and person, from this came directly another doctrine Manifest Destiny see how when landed on what is now Dominica and planted that CROSS OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH HE SERVED along with the Spanish monarchy and claimed all indigenous peoples lands and lives as their fucking exclusive property to do with as they pleased.

See how he started it all and is responsible for every ignoble deed thereafter

  • @selenadelos No he did not have to do it by his own personal hand kill millions and rob them of everything even their very humanity, no he just understood it and did it being the sick deranged fucker he was.

I do not understand why you are so interested in protecting the image of this cock roach of such a nasty and lurid character, but its not very becoming its down right laughable if it was not so warped.

Apparently your not grasping the bigger picture, but then again it does not effect you !

  • @selenadelos *Hey! Don't get mad at me.Nor use the "I never said that" routine,OK? YES Columbus is a Rat Bastard.Bring him back to life,so you can kill him again OK ?NOWMy Point. He did NOT act alone. This was Not all HIS IDEA,nor did HE slaughter ALL those people, alone.SO WHO ELSE DID ? Take his holiday, screw him.BUT ,WHAT OF THE REST OF THEM.? The Catholic Church? This is NOT the FIRST TIME in history, they acted this way. Will you NOT go to Mass on Sunday? What of their LIES?Did they SET HIM UP ?

  • @mrshutter77 Yes,I concur, having read more than a pamplet and a couple of web pages about the man,as well as his childhood.I don't get more here than what LACK of information, and in many cases education will get you, soon they will yell "Crucify Him",in mob rule.Yes he was a nasty bastard in the end.But Rome. The Catholic Church at this time in history pushed and MADE it so.Aragon/Castile marriage to form SPAIN in 1436 ?New Country?wants POWER,one dope says England,a mere hole in the wall?Fools..

  • @mrshutter77 sounds like your apologizing for him. yes lots of explorers were crude, but colombus certainly was among the worst and I dont think they NEEDED to be like that. Look at Marco Polo for example he was kind and had respect for the people he met, from the most sophisticated chinese societies to the most primitive societies, canibals etc. he did not judge. Colombus was inspired by Polo to find China, if only he had been inspirired by him in everyway.....

  • @manwithouthat44- ah no this is where you're wrong, he wasn't, the explorers that caem after him where this is where you're wrong! No matter how much you like to think you right, you seem to hung up on post-modern native american interpretations which historians have discredited.

  • @mrshutter77 what did Marco Polo do that was so vile and disgusting then ?? Or is it about Colombus being among the worst, is that what you mean. Maybe not THE worst. You think he had respect for the inhabitants ? And what do you think of him, and dont say something like you have to see it in context of the time. It sounds like you admire this man, and not only for his great deeds, which disturbs me deeply.. :s I dont say Im right Im just curious, esp to how you view this man.

  • @manwithouthat44-- Of Course He Did which is why he got in Trouble with the Spaniards, The Man fascinates me, and no he was not responsinble for the atrocities that happened to the natives after he was moved out of the picture & Cortez came in to the scene, but if anyone is guilty of the worst atroctities it your country- the only one ever to use the atomic bomb, and never stopping & killing and occupying & robbing the resource of Brown Muslim peoples :P

  • @mrshutter77 Im from the netherlands we never used any atomic bomb but wathever. We did other wicked stuff. Why does this man you fascinate you so much. And why are you trying to whitewash him, why cant you just set the things apart. Im fascinated by all explorers, but from what I know Colombus was not really a kind or fun person. You can prove me wrong otherwise, just come with some arguments. And you didnt answer how you think about the way the natives were treated by Colombus or whomever.

  • @manwithouthat44- Netherlands, you mean the country that came up with the concept of Aparthied in Southern Africa - look I have already given you my arguments, if your hell bent on believing he was guilty of genocide that is not my problem, I now he wasn't guilty of it, I'm not whitewashing anything, He treated the natives well, because he believed that through trust he woudl get to know the knew world better and spain would be able to expand to the new world more....

  • @manwithouthat44 ... constructive way that saw the peopels on both sides of the atlantic as friends - this is why he insisted on his crewmen to work as well, Bocadilla, other sailors & even Cortez fresh of the ambience of the Spanish Inquisition thought differently, so they moved him out of the picture and the whole thing turned into an ugly one. You can Cortez Bocadilla and many of the other explorers that Followed & Him Vespuci where guilty of genocide, but not him or Vespuci!

  • @mrshutter77 oh ok youre arguments are solid, I never claimed to have any real knowledge on the subject, I was just curious to it and your opinion. Also I never claimed The Netherlands has a clean sheet, far from it. Not that I think people should be held accountable for things their ancestors did in case of any country.

  • @manwithouthat44- Sorry for any misuderstaninds, because too many 20 year olds get into heated arguements with me over him, and I always have to remind him, his ambitions & his way of building a new world did not coincide with the Spanish Establishment at the time- wish had just come off expelling all Moors & Jews & where inquisition zeolous. The Real tragedy was when Cortez used germ * biological warfare vs. Aztects, firtime anyone used germ warfare

  • Most of the Suicides & mass killing you talk about started taking place after Bobadilla arrested him & took over the govership of Hispaniola. The accusation of him being a bad viceroy by other sailors was because his agenda didn't fit the scheme of the other sailors that accompanied him, so they raised hell behind his back, teamed up to testify against him to get him out of the picture - It suceeded - All hell broke loose after that! Thank god Hurricane Killed Bobadilla he deserved it!

  • He wasn't the one demanding Gold, it was other people in the Nobility that sailed with him on his 2rd & further voyages, and they drew the first blood on the native population behind Columbus's back -- all hell broke loose at that point because the trust was all of a sudden broken off, He was viewed as insane & crazy & his mismanagement - was because he treated natives & nobility as equals & forced nobility to work & sentenced 2 noblemen to death- eventhough they lit the fire up behind his back

  • @mrshutter77 Liar liar !

  • @selenadelos They...brought us parrots and balls of cotton and spears and many other things, which they exchanged for the glass beads and hawks' bells. They willingly traded everything they owned...They do not bear arms, and do not know them, for I showed them a sword, they took it by the edge and cut themselves out of ignorance...They would make fine servants...With fifty men we could subjugate them all and make them do whatever we want.

  • As soon as I arrived in the Indies, on the first Island which I found, I took some of the natives by force in order that they might learn and might give me information of whatever there is in these parts.

    Christopher Columbus

In his own words you magnificent immoral idiot and liar !!

  • @mrshutter77- Loser Loser!

  • @mrshutter77 Columbus own words tells this story rather clear about what he was and anyone that so desires can find his own descriptive words and judge for themselves what a nasty degenerate inhuman animal the bastard pedophile child pimping slaver was.

No ones being unfair to this ignoble piece of shit lowlife by calling him on what he was in fact !

  • @mrshutter77 Your morally the equal of a cock roach

  • He even resisted suggestions from his brothers that the natives be taken as slaves & the black labor from Africa be brought in, he believed that in order to build a New World, everyone had to work & colaborate together & through this "hormony" the natives would adopt more European way & eventually be fit to live in Europe & Europeans living in the Americas- Of course most of his colleuges & his brother & fellow sailors didn't share this view! Just wanted to emphasize back befor going other stuff

  • His brothers & many fellow sailors- especially most coming on his following voyages & the Spanish Establishment & the church at the time didn't share this view but he did. He didn't take natives to take back to Spain as slaves, he lurred them to come to Spain with him & he part of his showcase, and 24 natives gladly accpeted it. Even though he thought he on some islands off the coast of china eventually he was made aware that Amerigo Vespucci had proven this was a "New" Continent!

  • Never the less I don't think people from those times should be judged by the standards we have today. Ferdinand & Isabella agreed because they thought if he was right they'de have everything to gain, and if he was wrong they'de have so little to lose! He himself didn't believe in taking the natives as slaves because his aim - in his own mind- was evetually the natives have to be persuaded to take up Europeans customes, via working together. His brothers & many of his fellow sailors didn't share

  • @mrshutter77 I believe people should be judged within the context of their times. However, even in those times genocide was genocide. And there were deliberate killings of the native populations.

  • @mrshutter77 Never the less I don't think people from those times should be judged by the standards we have today

Today's standards oh you mean he should not be judged by human standards of decency or justice, its quite noble to sale children and rape n pillage back then amazing what time can do is it not ?

  • Well recent DNA tests in Both Sevilla & Santo Domingo have concluded that His remains are now in Sevilla Spain. The $180,000 estimation is a huge understatement because it's cooked up CPI numbers, I'm pretty sure in today's money it would be a lot more. Slavery was a global paradigm back then, but they way slavery was carried out was different in different parts of the world, and in many cases even less cruel than what we saw in the New World. Columbus was a man who a little ahead of his time!

  • great

  • Well that dumbass was the one that started illegal immigration in 1492. If his intentions were bad, then Christopher Columbus can go to hell. It's surprising what K through 12 schools don't teach you the "juicy" things about that cunt man sailor and thief. I'm not Native American. I'm not Latino. I'm an Asian Pacific Islander and I have disrespect for him. We could have been more advanced in medicine, technology, sciences, and etc. if Native Americans were not conquered.

  • Columbus discovered his neighbor's back yard..that's it!!!

  • Actually, Columbus didn't "discover" America. He had a map that orignated from the Chinese. I recommend people read Gavin Menzie's best selling books. The first is "1421: The Year that the Chinese Discovered America" , the second is "1434: The Year a Magnificent Chinese Fleet Sailed to Italy and Ignited the Renaissance". Glen Beck points to these 2 books on his show. Search for: Glenn Beck Show (January 14, 2011): China's Rise, America's Fall?

  • @donguinto Columbus used maps made by his brother, based largely on Viking maps. He didn't use a map that originated from the Chinese. Chinese maps show a passage over the Pacific Ocean. Such a map would have been completely useless to Columbus. China was pretty much still a closed off nation at this time. Glenn Beck is stupid, an idiot, and a fool. He has no concept of history and is almost always wrong. I don't get my history from someone as ignorant as Glenn Beck.

  • @yvettegr Columbus originally got his maps from Isabella I of Castile who got it from the Vatican who got it as a gift from the chinese. It wasn't Glenn Beck's history. He only brought attention to Gavin Menzies. There are other documentaries that people can watch. The History Channel had one called "In search of...Chinese Explorers". Genetic evidence of Mayans and North American Indians can be traced to mainland China.

  • @donguinto Again, Columbus got his maps from his brother who was a cartographer. His brother based his maps on European and Viking maps. What good would a Chinese map be? It would be from China across the Atlantic to what is now the west coast. I have no doubt the Chinese made this trip, but their maps would have been useless to Columbus. Again step away from Glenn Beck. He's an idiot. Menzies isn't much better. Google 1421 myth exposed. History Channel has gone downhill.

  • @yvettegr Hopefully historians can find more clear evidence. That being said, history is often somewhat biased. So it sometimes depend on whose version of history we want to believe.

  • @donguinto History is definitely biased. You might want to know this: Charlotte Harris Rees, the daughter of author Dr. Hendon Harris, bought an old American highschool history textbook dated 1910 from an antique/bookstore which taught that the Chinese discovered America before Columbus. Apparently textbooks prior to this date consistently taught this, but books dated after 1910 found in the same bookstore taught that Columbus discovered America fist! So who knows what else has been distorted.

  • @donguinto stop with this chinese bullshits, why they never settled there? oops......

  • @mattvlad3 They did settle in America. Google: the Asiatic Fathers of America. That's where the natives come from. Both N and S American Indians came from mainland Asia.

  • @donguinto ah you mean in 500.000 b,c,? yeah seems true, like that aryan migration across bering, and aryan build pyramids style in mexico ect, like in japan. but if you mean modern era, sorry is fake, no chinese settled before columbus, no chinese made a map before martin w. so..............

  • next time, include some pictures to refresh my short attention spa...... Hello!

  • C.Columbus was a FAG!!!

  • Can you answer me this When the great explorers where charting the seas the feared the would sail of the end of the world. Many such vogages met starvation and scurvy. and they where often on starvation rations eating biscuits with maggots in them, and some times they did not know where the nearest land was. or when they would eat or take on fresh water, it was russian roulette

    My qeustion is this

did they ever take fishing nets and catch good fish for food

  • FUCK SPAIN!!!!!!!!!!!

  • He was just a man of his time.

  • @GQvizoXX Obviously warrior cultures intend to be brutal and do irrational things, Aztecs are well known for sacrificial rituals but on the lighter side of their culture they are rich in agriculture, experts in mathmatics and architects

  • Comment removed

  • @GQvizoXX Aztec sacrifices compared to European heresy trials, witch trials, and inquisitions was considered a high honor even among warriors like Bushido or Valhalla, in their belief they would be in the highest afterlife while Catholics gave their victems dishonorable deaths and in their beleifs suffer in Hell

  • @GQvizoXX lmao I spelt Witches correctly, obviously you never finished highschool

  • @GQvizoXX and Europeans did similar things to people it's called the Blood Eagle torture and the Spanish Inquisitions.

Aztecs seemed more civilized than Medeival Europe, plus most Aztecs bathed twice a day while most Europeans barely took baths back then. and Aztecs were rich and experts in agriculture

  • @1Crip2012 Aztecs ate people and they skined the faces off their sacrifical victims and wore them with all the blood and gore still in them. When they first arrived in the valley of anahuac (vally of mexico) one of the Nahua chiefs tried to make peace with the Mexica (the name "Aztec" was first coined by Cortes) by marring his daughter to them and later, when he visited them to see his princess, he was met by shaman wearing her tanned skin. I'd rather be ruled by smelly ppl than clean canibls

  • @lbspade But it's one sided that they were mad for cannibalism nd not enough proof, Same thing with the Huns; the Romans mostly exagerated about the Huns to make them look bad.

Europeans back then were no saints either, if I didn't agree with their beliefs I would be sacrificed in their torture devices as a heathen

  • @1Crip2012 To carve the Blood Eagle was Viking and only practiced after someone was found guilty of a crime. It was not a punishment that was given lightly. You're right about the bathing. Perfume was used to try to quell the stench of many Europeans. They might take a bath every six months or so. And they seemed proud not to take baths. Didn't they notice being itchy, or their skin crusting and flaking? Pretty disgusting.

  • @1Crip2012 you didn't mention the hundreds of thousands of people that died in their bloody sacrifices.

  • @hilletehnoob That's because religon is bullshit, look at what Europeans do to heathens they killed thousands of people in the name of there God & millions of people are being killed in the name of God to this day

  • @1Crip2012 no,you just mention what was good, not their bloody side.aztecs were bloody and tyranic to enemy tribes, that's why spain took over so easily with so many native american tribes on their side.

  • @hilletehnoob As I said before Religon Is Bullshit, anybody under religon is bloodthirsty including the "enlighted" christian europeans who were burning heritics alive in the name of there god

  • @1Crip2012 The Taino Indians practiced cannibalism (something people dont mention) & they did attack Columbus's troops 1st.

  • @elissadon That still dosn't justify killing, raping & enslaving Taino, & whoopdefreakin doo they attacked 1 of Columbus's men how many Taino's were killed by Europeans? Alot more, plus that's not very Christian of them to use an eye for an eye

  • @elissadon Speaking of cannibalism, the Abrahamic religions advocates cannibalism according to Jeremiah 19:9

  • @GQvizoXX and European Catholics killed anybody who disagrees with their beliefs, brun innocent women as witches, burned the so called heritcs.

Ohh yeah, Europe was so civilized back in Medeivel times compared to Mesoamerica

  • @athousandthrills I'd settle for a Daguerrotype.

  • @getyoasshome Slavery was a way of life in south America (which is the reason why Cortez later got local support against the Aztecs) and OTOH Arab slave trade had been going on for centuries in Africa and parts of Europe. All this was long before Columbus was born. You're entitled to your own opinion but not to your own "facts". Columbus was no more evil than any other person of influence during the Middle Ages, in fact less so than many others. You judge Columbus in a very anachronistic way...

  • @unapologeticmind Writing "Columbus was no more evil than any other person of influence during the Middle Ages" is silly. First, the majority of people of influence in the Middle Ages weren't evil. Second, evil isn't a contest. If you're evil, you're evil, and trying to minimize evil by saying the evil person isn't as bad as other evil people, doesn't excuse the fact the person is evil.

  • @yvettegr Using a modern "European Humanism"-inspired measure stick for the actions of Medieval historical characters is anachronistic. The Muslim prophet Muhammad was for instance a genocidal madman who personally decapitated hundreds of defenseless men and boys, raped slavegirls and even had sex with a prepubescent child-bride, yet he has 1.5 billion hardcore admirers today...

  • @unapologeticmind Your argument is filled with logical fallacies. I'm not using modern European Humanism to measure Columbus. Columbus was measured rather harshly when he was alive (put in prison for his actions, remember?). Having a lot of followers today does not negate evil in the past.

  • @unapologeticmind lol in columbus killed around 50million natives raped the women then killed them killed the children and stole and entire hemisphere in now he has a whole nation of sum 400million people celebrate him every year -_-

  • @chitownzfinesthustla He worked hard and played hard. At least he never killed a human.

  • @chitownzfinesthustla wait what, Columbus was a douche but he didn't kill approximately 50 million people the only people you can relate him to killing would Arawaks when he was put in charge of there island as the admiral of Spain.

  • @yvettegr ...Virtually all Medieval kings and feudal lords had blood on their hands and would by today's standards not be the great kings they are depicted as but rather collectively serve life in prison. I think I will give Columbus some slack for enslaving a few natives due to greed, lack of compassion or whatever his motives were...

  • Also, the great Charlemagne who is celebrated by the EU as the father of modern Europe, ordered the decapitation of hundreds of Saxons, sold Europeans as slaves to Arabs, etc... Even Genghis Khan who raped, pillaged and murdered from China to Europe is today also remembered as an enlightened leader and a precursor to meetings between the East and the West and as someone who opened up the Silk Road trade... Like I said, Columbus 'crimes' are a minor issue compared to his role as discoverer...

  • @unapologeticmind even so but other races or cultures did not treat their slaves in such manner as europeans. the way europeans did it was horrific and speechless. maybe thats y u r so unapologetic

  • @unapologeticmind Just because slavery was a way of life (for some), didn't make it right. And being no more evil than other people still means you're evil. And it wasn't just the Arab slave trade. The Vikings had a slave trade going between European countries (including England). And, there were good guys during the period who opposed the slave trade. Even in Columbus' time the majority of people opposed slavery.

  • @unapologeticmind The Inca were in south america, not the Aztecs. Shut up until you learn SOMETHING, any thing! Columbus fed his dogs with recaptured Taino, worst than Hitler.

  • Im from The Dominican Republic (The Hispaniola), This is a really good video with really true information. But you're true, is told that parts of colombus body is in Santo Domingo (where im from) and part in spain.

  • @danielrodriguezmera I found how traveled Columbus was after is death to be one of the more interesting aspects about him. I had no idea parts of him had been moved around so much. Definitely a tribute to him that so many countries and people want to claim him.

  • By the way, Christopher Colombus was buried in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He said to his family and his people that when he died he wanted his body to be buried in Hispaniola (Santo Domingo)....So the person who made this video is wrong. Im from The Dominican Republic and i was raced there, and there they teach a LOT about christopher colombus because the hispaniola was christopher colombus's favorite island, and my country is involved in a lot of information (DOMINICAN REPUBLIC)

  • Columbus may have discovered America but it was an italian, Amerigo Bespucci, who realized it was a completely different country.

    Italy

    Kicks

    Ass

  • @Soopahkoopah101 Columbus didn't discover America, that was done hundreds of years before by others (Vikings, Scots, Chinese, etc.). But America is named after Amerigo Vespucci who realized it was a different continent, and not India.

  • @yvettegr Chinese never discovered America, it's just wild and unfounded speculation by a former British mariner who wanted to make a quick buck by writing a book on that subject. Scots discovered America? Never heard of that. Some Scots do have Viking ancestry though and Vikings did discover it although they were not on any kind of discovery mission. They just happened to stumple upon it. But it was Columbus and not the Vikings who initiated the "Age of Discovery", which is why he's celebrated.

  • @Soopahkoopah101 By the way, spell: ''Amerigo Vespucci.''

  • The glory of SPAIN....the nation who discovered AMERICA!!!

  • @SoldierIberian1 How can Europe discover America when it has already been discovered by NAtive Americans/Indians?

  • @1Crip2012 Spain, the nation that discovered america to the world and the world to america!!

    SPANISH GLORY!!

  • @SoldierIberian1 How can Spain discover a country that has already been discovered?

  • @1Crip2012 Discovering for the Old Continent

  • @1Crip2012 when we talk about the Discovery of America we're talking about it's discovery by those that didn't know it, mainly European Discovery. If it was unknown until that time and then found - it was Discovered.

BTW "Colon" (not his real name & NEVER Columbus/Colombo) gets bale for lost of stuff especially annihilating Native Indians -most of this is not true and also remember the Native "Indians" & Africans were annihilating each others tribes long before any Portuguese set foot there.

  • @PORTUGAL1010 Ok then I will go to somebody's house & do what Columbus has done which is claim that from now on I discover & own this house now. the Indigenous people didn't "annihalate" 90-95 percent of their own people in Anahuac or even forced them to believe in the Abrahamic God & speak their language

  • MURDERER!!!

  • One of the biggest myths in history, how the hell did Colombus discover America when there were people living there???

And he KNEW he was in America, yet arrogant enough to call them Indians, when India was on the other side of the world.

  • Fucking video blows donkey balls you expect people to read that fast... Fuck this shit

  • @z00y0rker87 Did you read the suggestion in the description section?

Hit the stop/pause control (to the left of the sound control at the bottom of the video) to stop each frame. Hit it again to resume once you've read that frame.

That makes more sense than trying to estimate a reading time for each frame.

  • @yvettegr oh... i was using my iphone to watch this, it didnt show the description

  • @z00y0rker87 Thank you for your input. I checked it out on my iPhone, too, and you can only get to the information field from the browser, not the YouTube app. I'll make certain in future "informational" videos that I put the pause suggestion right at the start of the video and not rely on the information field.

  • use sound!!!!!!!!!!!!! ughhhhhhhhhhhh annoying

  • I love the dumb indian that doesn't even know their own history

    you're a hoot

  • CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS WAS A LYNCH MAN

  • This nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth. Thank you Christopher Columbus and to The Nina, Pinta and The Santa Maria.

  • Europe literally went and Destroyed our culture, The native indians and the africans were victims of all the crimes you can think off. I cant say i hate spain for what they did cause unfortunately it is in my blood. That part of my ancestry was forced in, but what can we do? I guess knowing what really happened is all we can do. anyone that knows what this animal did would not celebrate that day....Peace to my Caribbean brothers, my African brothers

  • Christopher Columbus was a murderer, a thief also a rapist. Im a Dominican descendant, and let me tell you there is nothing positive that this man did. He stole all the gold from the Caribbean. Theres a saying from centuries ago that with the gold of hispaniola is what the crown of spain is made of. He finished off the Taino, Arawake people. Than after, they went and stole africans and brought them to the islands. As time went on, Natives and Africans mixed and also spanish.

  • Interesting & informative video...great for stimulating debate..good detail in photographs..nice & sharp. Thank you for sharing Yvette...kind regards

  • @CCFineArtPainting Thank you.

  • Please check out my new video-talking about christopher columbus's life.

  • fuck the europeans they came to this continent to steal our gold and our goods so they could have more power and they would invest our gold in wars in europe, they also brought diseases, and fuck those who say that they civilized the natives, 'cause they were already civilized.

  • @1993thebigboss I probably wouldn't put it quite that way. But, I do agree with your assessment. They decimated the populations here with European diseases. And there was already a thriving civilization. Look at what the Incas/Mayans/Aztecs were doing while Europeans were barely living in huts. And I'm of European ancestry and can recognize that (though First National ancestry, too).

  • @yvettegr What part would you "not quite put" how 1993thebigboss did? Seems pretty darn accurate from what I've been told.

  • @yvettegr I guess this is how they teach history now. The Aztecs and Incas had great accomplishments but they were very brutal societies. Merciless to their enemies. And before you get too down on Western Society you might acknowledge that you're using YouTube on the internet.

  • @1993thebigboss funny it was a prophecy of american natives that the whites would come from the east and they were superior and to be submitted to

    .

you might not like how things turned out but apparently it's what YOUR god thought was good for you

  • @curatrix2008 thats a lie LOL!!!

  • @1993thebigboss that is the story of expansion and conquest through out history

    .

please keep in mind, native americans migrated from asia warring with, killing or driving out each group on land they wanted.

    .

so before you get to sanctimonious, gain some knowledge,

    .

expansion, warring and killing is your history too

  • @1993thebigboss

Good idea. Let's bring back cannablism, slavery, and human sacrifice.

  • The guy was a thief and a pillager who came to rob gold and enslave natives . He came with men armed to the hilt to places where peaceful humanitarian tribes lived who wanted to share gifts and knowledge while he had other dastardly plans to please his monarchs.

  • @BoogieKnight1976 I agree.

  • @BoogieKnight1976

Anyone who thinks that Columbus and the Europeans stole America must leave America at once. Unless, of course, you are a indigenous savage. 'Bye!

  • @Sammyjackson1488 i'll buy your ticket back to the caves of the caucus mountains. columbus and his men were savage devils.

  • @BoogieKnight1976 peaceful my ass. The Aztecs were anything but peaceful. They were warring peoples who conquered numerous other weaker "native american" tribes. Then when they met the Europeans they finally met a superior people, a superior military force and they lost. Thats it.

  • @Achilles1389 not true your people were filled with diseases like malaria and other types of shit that wiped them down....also they were betrayed b/c spaniards were liars and wanted their gold....

  • @BoogieKnight1976 You are mistaken when you refer to the natives as "peaceful humanitarian tribes" they sacrificed their babies by tossing them over cliffs and drowning them. Also, they ate their enemies in feasts of ritual canabalism. Hmmm, I believe that is more dastardly than coming on down from the more civilized part of the world.

  • Columbus was a Greek. Columbus was not from Genoa. Columbus was from the Greek island Chios, then part of the Rupublic of Genoa. The name Columbus is a common Greek name on Chios. Columbus signed his name in Greek and was related to members of a Greek Byzantine Dynasty.

  • I wish the truth would come out. The Portuguese knew of the lands across the Atlantic. This was no "spice run". This was a voyage that was written about by many other sailors. The Africans and Phonecians both sailed across the Atlantic for HUNDREDS of years. This is a farce to control the thinking of people. Columbus is a thug, brute and thief. This was the beginning of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. One day the unadulterated truth will be known for the entire world

  • @bartdogggy Lots of people knew of the lands across the Atlantic. The Vikings had trade settlements in what is now Massachusetts/Rhode Island hundreds of years before Columbus. The Africans and Phoenicians did not have navigation equipment so hugged the coastline. They did not sale across the Atlantic. The Vikings could do it because of the "sun stone" they used for navigation. I think the true history of Columbus is becoming known.

  • @yvettegr hugged what coastline? in yes they did sail across so did the chinese in romans there still finding roman gladius

  • C olumbus rulz ..he is the best hero

  • @avq5 Please do some research about Columbus. He is no hero. He was responsible for the genocide of several groups of people in the New World.
