  • Death to Napoléon. And I'm French, by the way. Long live the Imperial Russia and His Imperial Majesty the Tsar of all the Russias. Боже, Царя храни !

  • sublime

  • Brass @ 3:10

  • One of my favorite pieces hands down. Great quality, glad to see you uploaded the whole Overture, most videos are just the finale.

  • a dir poco emozionante....15.25 passano subito. :')

  • @Paccia46 verissimo!

  • Every time I hear this I feel it in my spine. It starts in the center and radiates out to my extremities. My whole body gets covered in goosebumps. I have no idea why but I do know that this will be played at my funeral on a finely tuned sound system and when the bass drums hit I want the rafters to shake!!! VICTORY!!!!'

  • 13:04 - 15:25

    amazing

  • 15:25 minutes, which let me forget all the problems and fill me with joy of such a beautiful creation. Thank you very much!

  • Tchaikowsky is not my favourite composer, but he was a genius.

  • Napoleone dislike this video

  • @Kryuj Napoleon, Murat and Ney

  • @Kryuj lmao

  • Holly shit!... totally love it!

  • BRAVO!! Encore!

  • Tchaikovsky is my favorite composer, his compositions are almost from heaven, they are beautiful. and this one is one of his best, maybe THE BEST, and no i'm not here because of V for Vendetta, great movie though :P

  • If he would have lived now, he would have paid copyright for using French's national hymn. What a fail...

How great look the time where artists could compose such jewels without being hindered by society.

  • ok... 2 dislikes?

    ARE U KIDDING ME?

    u_u

  • AMAZING

  • AWESOME!

  • V for Vendetta

  • Oh the glory!

  • best of tchaikovsky

  • Muy bien! Very good!

  • dios el final ha sido increible, me ha recorrido un escalofrio que me ha dejado la piel de gallina del pecho a los pies

  • The begging is so beaful

  • .... I never really liked classical before, but every so often things like this turn up and then I change my mind...

  • umm im doing my music hw does any one know all the instruments tchaikovsky used

  • @yellowtoefungus Google it.

  • Always make me want to out and invade another country after listening to this brilliant piece of music...

  • Excellente!

  • Great piece! Thanks for posting!

  • I like this recording of this piece but it's a faster paced rendition than most of the others I've heard. I like it a little slower and I like lots of real cannons at the end.

This is one of my all time favorites.

  • 1 person was in the canon's line of fire

  • I already knew this song before it came out but, V for Vendetta! :D

  • ... il crescendo finale di Muti è semplicemente sublime! (Muti's final crescendo is sublime!)

  • Napoléon dislike this.

  • i heard this since i was 5

  • Bloody brilliant.

  • just to informate anarchists: the end of the music is a patriorical music for the tzar... :p thanks to promote him so

  • anarchist are ignorants: this was a victory comemoration in Храм Христа Спасителя in 1882 (Cathedrale du Christ Saint Sauveur I don't know in english), at this time France and Russia were very friends: french ambassador were there for the principal ceremony. Anarchists should think about the tzar and million people there ideas killed before using beautiful creation that civilized and creatives person made. Anarchists can't stop God and an old nation like Russia...

  • Just. Bloody. Incredible.

  • In case you were wondering, I did listen to this in the car. One thing I noticed is how the recording holds back on the bass. Which is probably a good thing, probably would have busted the speakers much less the glass. Some years back I had an album recording, it was in the early years of digital recording. You could actually see the grooves on the album because the quality of the recording. And on the back it gave a big warning about the finale because of the canons. It was LOUD!

  • So glad YouTube has cleaned up the players/sound where the music comes out in full brilliance like this.I'm putting this on tape, I gotta hear it full blast!!

  • Magnificent!! From the opening hymnal (I never did like the choir version), the battle scene and final battle scene was brilliant!! Some conductors rush through that part, but I have heard versions where the canons fire a few more times at the arpeggios before the victory fanfare. So glad he didn't rush through the part before the final theme, some conductors do. Great performance. I had one version where the chimes took us out. I gotta put this on tape for the car!

  • It's so beautiful...

  • It makes me sad that childish anarchists are using this beautiful music to push their message.

  • @stevej71393 Rothbard never did, as far as I know. :P

  • Probably going to blow my speakers on this.

  • @iceteaguy same here :D

  • Beautiful. Just beautiful.

  • Supreme :-D

  • Thanks so much for posting a full version with high quality sound! I love this from its very serene beginning to the powerful ending. Muti is a master conductor. (P.S. I still think of Quaker Puffed Rice whenever I hear this!)

  • @creativeplanetjanet : Ditto!

  • @creativeplanetjanet

you're welcome :) the other uploads really disappointed me, glad if you have fun with it.

  • @creativeplanetjanet yes hes a good conductor, but lets remember, in soviet russia, a man named Tchaikovsky made this, and many other fantastic songs.

  • @Sasha009000 Erm...unless he could time-travel I doubt Tchaikovsky composed anything in Soviet Russia

  • @surfingbananas Erm... wasnt this song written and conducted by Tchaikovsky in 1812 in the Russian Federation?

  • @Sasha009000 the concept of communism was only realized by Marx in the 1830s… At the time of this pieces composition Russia was ruled by a Tsar until the uprising of 1916. You're about a century out bud.

  • @TheBozwalox так что двойная радуга реальны?

  • @Sasha009000 double rainbow whaaa?

  • @TheBozwalox what about them?

  • @TheBozwalox 1917

  • @Sasha009000 Russian Empire

  • @Sasha009000 It was actually written in 1880

  • @Sasha009000 I totally agree. Tchaikovsky is one of my favorite composers who gave us many masterpieces. I think he would approve of this performance.
