i kiled the guy and went to the altar, but now the front door is still locked and i can't get into the main city. i might be doing it wrong. i honestly don't know, there a key somewhere? or is it glitched out?

@snake9718 Skyrims a huge fucking game with days upon days worth of content. Hundreds of quests, with hundreds of thousands of lines of coding. The probability that none of those lines of coding will have any errors or bugs in them anywhere is ridiculous. And I bet you couldn't even write one of those lines.

anyone notice this quest is hard a fuck, you wouldn't think it is but when you go to get the priest i just cant do it, does the game get harder after a certain level?

Strange, the first playthrough the game I completed this quest, now I'm playing it again and I did not witness any assassination and the guy's not in front of the house, or anywhere else. I really wanted that mace!

so, I'm playing on the 360 and I'm only level 14. Did it glitch out on me because I can't leave, and the objects are flying everywhere, but no voice and no apprentice dude appearing. Should I back out to the most recent save and come back at a higher level?

this quest is so glitchy, the first time, I went in, the guy froze and then where ever I went everything shook and was a weird colour.... Then I did it all right but got locked in the house...

@Gerne97 @AFAKEKUMQUAT Not sure how to help unless you're on PC. If so you can use "COC Whiterun" on the console without quotes to teleport out and near Honeybrew Meadery. Otherwie its reload a previous save or wait for patch : /

this quest has completely glitched out on me, the dude just standsthere saying "there is no way out" and yet I can easily walk out, just the haunting continues

@SuperGhostuk THis was one month ago, but for people having the same problem like I did where he just gets stuck in the first room, just slaughter the guy and it continues the quest. Lol i tried for twenty minutes, hit him to try and get him to move, accidentally killed him, and advanced the quest:P

I haven't done this quest yet and I cant seem to find the guy that lets you in side the abandoned house. I don't even remember the supposed assassination attempt that you mentioned at the beginning of the video. Is my game just glitched and I cant do this quest now for some reason or is their somewhere else I can go in Markarth to start this?
